10 Tips for Colored Hair!!!
Before trying in hair colors whether permanent or semi-permanent it’s important to know about some facts, and care tips for pre- and post-coloring . Let’s take you on a stroll through some of the most important hair colouring tips.
1. Shade Selection:
If you wanna color hair at home then remember if you’re going lighter, expect the color to be much warmer than what’s on the box and If you’re going darker, the color is going to show cooler.
Example, ash is flat, red is bright, gold is brassy. Your best bet is to pick shades that are neutral or warm. The softer the name, the softer will be the result..

2. Right combi of Formula:
What color do you want? Permanent or semi-permanent. A semi-permanent will wash off in 20 shampoos or so on. So be sure to read the color box carefully and it’s formulation as to how long it’s gonna last and decide as per your choice.
3. Pre-color Care:
Try deep conditioning treatments along with some hair masks,and no chemical for at least 1 month prior to coloring, to avoid excess color damage and also to renew and revitalize your hair before color from the damage it has already suffered due to heat, styling and so on.
4. Apply dye to Non-shampooed hair:
Do not shampoo for at least two days before coloring to let the natural oils secreted from scalp to set in. This in turn protects the hair roots from severe color damage.
5. Avoid Mess:
To avoid mess all over your back, while hair coloring at home, cover your back from shoulder with an old towel, or cloth, or wear a full necked t-shirt which if gets color on it, will not bother you. Apply with a brush and wear gloves.
6. Even Application:
Use a wide toothed comb, then apply color in sections evenly. Do not dab on color by lumping the mixture here and there.
7. Cool Rinsing:
Do not rinse with warm water. Keep it cool.

8. Deep conditioning:
Once the water runs clear, use a deep conditioning conditioner. You may or may not shampoo. It’s though best to shampoo the next day. Leave on conditioner for 10 minutes, wash off.

9. Touch up trick:
For touch ups every 3 to 4 weeks, use the color mixture on to hair using a cotton ball dipped in color mixture or a brush. Follow the same rinsing process.
10. Make your shade last:
Leave in conditioners should be used for the color to stay on for a longer period of time. Wear a hat or a hair sunblock spray while going out to keep hair from getting damaged by sun and depleting away the color.
