Aishwarya Style Check At Cannes 2012
Yes, Ash finally appeared at the Cannes Film Festival 2012. There had been a lot of speculations whether or not she will make an appearance at Cannes post baby weight gain. She being a constant red carpet walker at the Cannes for the past 10 years didn’t dishearten her fans and appeared at the Cannes looking fab and gorgeous as ever.
First, the outfit we all thought she super rocked was an Indian attire. The new mom silenced all critics who called her an ‘elephant’ and ‘aunt’ when she attended the dinner of L’Oreal Paris-amfAR (American Foundation for AIDS Research) in this lovely looking Abu Jani-Sandeep Khosla drape. She teamed up her cream chikankari sari with a lovely gold embroidered rust coloured collar blouse. There was not an inch skin show with the full sleeved jacket-blouse and we must say, she absolutely looked a diva. Her makeup was done aptly with heavily kohled eyes and nude lips and lightly blushed cheeks.
For years, we’ve seen her in gowns of different cuts and lengths. Yes she wore gowns too this year and the cut she chose keeping in mind her body shape post weight gain. She wore an Angelo Katsapis dress maxi dress in cream and grey and looked much slimmer. The curled hair in the forehead framed her face pretty well and she looked amazing. This was her outfit for the media call.
Another dress she wore for the media call was a blue and green maxi dress by Roberto Cavalli. It was designed in the form of a Kaftan which actually covered all her flabs and obviously, no complains. She looks good.
Some designers have been very positive when commenting on her looks.
Designer Narendra Kumar Ahmed said, “It’s wonderful that she carries the Indian look so well. It accentuates her curves while being elegant. Quite becoming. As for the black and white look, I think it’s a very contemporary design and is in keeping with her present body proportion. Very chic and very resort.”
Designer Rocky S says that she looks lovely in the maxi: “She has left everyone spellbound with her flamboyance. The gold base embellished top, worked upon with jeweled shade tone and dazzled with gold brocade, complements the classic toned down cream base sari. It is a perfect combination of beauty and elegance.”
In the premiere of Cosmopolis, she chose to wear an Eli Saab creation for the red carpet. A sheer midnight blue gown with crystals embedded all over and a very thin belt hugging her waist. She had heavy eye makeup with a hint of blue eyeliner and had softly curled her tresses. Notice her nails. Its painted in a navy blue varnish.
And she definitely stole many a hearts away when she blew a kiss towards her fans.
