Warm Up:

Once you are ready to do the monkey jump, try to feel comfortable and confident. Too much nervousness or anxiety is going to hold you back. Don’t allow that to happen! Simply follow the steps listed here and you will be able to nail this move in no time.

1. Jog towards your obstacle at a medium rate. Somewhere between a run and jog will do.

2. When you are 4 to 5 feet away from the obstacle, squat down with you feet slightly apart.

3. Now place both your hands on the obstacle. Ensure that there is room for you to get between the rail. However, you shouldn’t widen your legs too much. This would only clip your feet and stop you from doing the jump without any injury.

4. As you jump, tuck both your feet up and try to bring them between the hands. Push yourself forward during this time.

5. Once you are in mid air, make sure you lean forward. This will stop you from clipping both the feet. They will also be higher when you do this.

6. As soon as you are at the top of the air, look for the landing spot.

7. Now let go and land softly.

8. Run away now. Feel proud of yourself and smile! You have just completed the monkey jump!
