Nance is a topical fruit from the Byronisma crahe treolia tree. This tree is a slow-growing large shrub, approximately 33 feet tall that grows well on sandy and rocky soil. It is known to tolerate extended droughts, so that’s probably another reason it’s so common. The fruit is mostly grown in Southern Mexico through the Pacific side of Central America to Peru and Brazil.
