Beautiful Soft Rose Gold Eye Makeup Tutorial – With Detailed Steps & Pictures May 26, 2015

Some like it bold and dramatic, and some prefer it subtle—that’s life in a nutshell! The same thing applies to makeup! Are you one of those young ladies who love soft and sweet makeup looks? Ah, that’s tough, because the world around us is surrounded by everything intense and dramatic.

But don’t worry; we have something for everyone here at StyleCraze! So without further ado, here’s a soft rose gold eye makeup tutorial to offer you that sweet angel look to flaunt. Rose gold is a classy soft makeup look worn mostly by girls having fairer skin. But, being a dusky girl, I have experimented with a lot of eyeshadow to make this color work for me. So, today, I am sharing a customized rose gold eyeshadow, which I created for this makeup look.

Soft Rose Gold Eye Makeup Tutorial:

Let’s begin the makeup tutorial!

Step 1:

Apply an eye cream to hydrate your eyes. Then, take a concealer of your choice to cover up all the dark circles. Then use a compact powder to set the concealer and prevent creasing.

Let’s begin the eye makeup. Take a matte medium orange-brown eyeshadow and apply it to the crease of your eyes. This step will add dimension and bring out your crease area to give an illusion of deeper set eyes. Here, I used the Kryolan mocha blush as eyeshadow.

Step 2:

Apply a rose gold cream base to your eyelid area. This step is optional, but as rose gold eyeshadows don’t pop on the darker skin eyelid, using a base helps in increasing the vibrancy of the color. This step will make the makeup look appear lifted. Here, I used the Kryolan Supra Color Interferenz. Then, apply a soft bronze shimmery eyeshadow all over your eyelid area. Here, I used a bronze eyeshadow from the Elf Day on Beach eyeshadow palette.

Step 3:

Use a pinkish plum eyeshadow in matte finish and start building the color in the crease to remove the harsh effect left by the orange-brown eyeshadow applied in the previous step. This step can be achieved easily by using a tapered fluffy blending brush by using a wiper motion. Here, I used the Elf Day on the Beach eyeshadow palette for the pinkish plum eyeshadow.

Step 4:

Then, apply a light yellow gold shimmery eyeshadow to the innermost corner of your eyelid to highlight and give an illusion of bigger eyes. Here, I used the Lakme eyeshadow palette in Tanjore Rush for the yellow eyeshadow. Apply a light champagne eyeshadow to the brow bone area to highlight your eyes. Here, I used the Revlon Shadow Links eyeshadow in the shade sand. Then, apply a soft pink eye shadow above the soft bronze eyeshadow applied earlier. This eyeshadow will be concentrated only on the moving lid area of the eye. Here, I used the Lakme eyeshadow Silk Route palette for the pink eyeshadow.

Step 5:

Since this eye makeup is soft, I applied a thin line of kajal pencil and smudged it softly with a smudge brush to make it appear diffused Here, I used the Lotus Herbals kajal in black. Then, I used a liquid liner and lined my eyes thinly as close to my lash line. Here, I used the Kryolan black eyeliner.

Step 6:

Apply the same soft pink and the yellow gold eyeshadow to the lower lash line to create a balance in the eye makeup. Then, apply the required amount of mascara to lift your eyelashes to complete the eye makeup look. Here, I used the Loreal Million Lashes Mascara.

And you are done! Eyes can speak a thousand words, even if they are soft and feminine. Take a break from intense, dramatic look and try this eye makeup. It’s nice sometimes to let the softer side of you shine through.

Try this look and come back to share the compliments you garner! We look forward to hearing from you.
