Into The History Of The Oil
Is it Ravensara or Ravintsara? They both can’t possibly be the same if they come from different trees that thrive in the same location. Ravensara oil is obtained from a tree called Ravensaraaromatica. Its cineol composition gives it properties similar to eucalyptus oil and has a pleasant smell. When inhaled, the scent of the oil can be described as a combination of camphor and eucalyptus.

1. Treats Infections
Treat wounds, cuts, cold sores and infections with the antibacterial and antiseptic properties of Ravintsara essential oil(1). It works well in a 50-50 ratio with Calophyllum inophyllum seed oil. The anti-inflammatory properties of the oil work well on the skin and can control breakouts. You could also mix this essential oil with Helichrysumitalicum, lavender or any other carrier oil. Combine 1ml of each oil and store in an amber-coloured bottle for 3 to 4 days before use. Dispense a few drops of the mix in your room so that you can inhale it while you sleep.
