Bollywood And Sixties Pop Culture

Sixties pop culture of bolly wood

Like a lot of other trends, even the hippie and pop look took birth India at the Bollywood Industry. When Zeenat Aman came up on the big screen for Hare Rama Hare Krishnain those colorful, well fitted shirts, brilliantly styled hair and chunky jewelry, we were all blown away. Well we didn’t agree with her love for the drugs in the movie but her look we definitely loved!

She made the fitter shirts, bell bottom pants, heavy chunky jewelry around the neck and wrist with that belt on the shirt style so popular that even today every few seasons, it makes a comeback in full rage! Her portrayal of a lost soul just looking for a place to fit in was so complete in her acting and dressing too that people all over the world loved it and took a liking to this sense of style in a heart beat. And we must say a lot of us are still very partial to it!
