Galaxy Inspired Eye Makeup Tutorial – With Detailed Steps And Pictures August 8, 2016

Nature has always been a true inspiration for all of us since childhood. The mesmerizing mystery filled galaxy takes all of us to a world, full of fantasy. Today, I have created an eye makeup inspired by the galaxy. The colors in the eye makeup are vibrant, bright and intense to capture the splendor and depth of space.

Stepwise Tutorial:

So, let’s try and capture the beauty of space on our eyes with this galaxy eye makeup tutorial!

Step 1:

Start by moisturizing the delicate eye area to prepare the skin for the eye makeup. Pick an eye cream and dot it under your eye area and softly pat it into the skin. Then, take a concealer with your fingers or a flat concealer brush and conceal your dark circles. If you have deep pigmentation under your eyes, it is best to use a corrector prior to the application of the concealer. Then, use a loose compact powder and set your concealer to prevent smudging or creasing of the products applied earlier.

Take a matte red-pink eyeshadow and start applying it to the crease area of the eyes. Here, I have used a matte red-pink eyeshadow from the Elf 144 eyeshadow palette to add dimension and give an illusion of deep set eyes.

Step 2:

Then, take a bright hot pink eyeshadow in a matte finish and apply it to the crease area of your eyes. This eyeshadow can overlap with the matte red-pink eyeshadow applied in the previous step. It is best to use a fluffy blending brush to diffuse the color in this step. I have used a matte hot pink eyeshadow from the Elf 144 eyeshadow palette for this step.

Step 3:

Take a cobalt blue eye pencil and apply it all over your eyelid area. This step requires the eyeshadow to be applied on top of it to make it appear brighter and pop out. Here, I used the Tips and Toes pencil in blue to get the perfect look.

Step 4:

Then pick a shimmery blue eyeshadow and apply it on your eyelid area. This eyeshadow should be placed just above the blue eye pencil applied in the previous step. Start by blending the blue eye pencil applied on the previous step with tour fingers or a flat eyeshadow brush to get an even base for the eyeshadow and then top the shimmery blue eyeshadow over it. I used a shimmery blue eyeshadow from the Elf 144 eyeshadow palette for this step.

Step 5:

Pick a shimmery purple eyeshadow and apply it to the two thirds of the eye area. Then, pick a blending brush and softly blend the eyeshadow with the rest of the colors to bring a soft transition of colors. Here, I used the Lakme Tanjore Rush for the purple eyeshadow.

Step 6:

Then, pick a matte black eyeshadow and further define your crease area softly to bring more depth to the eye makeup. Here, I have used a matte black eyeshadow from the Elf 144 eyeshadow palette. Apply the same shimmery blue eyeshadow to the innermost corner of your eyes, hot pink to the center of the lower lash line and the shimmery purple and black eyeshadow to the outermost corner of the lower lash line.

Step 7:

Apply a soft shimmery champagne eyeshadow to the innermost corner of the lower lash line and brow bone area to highlight your eyes. I used the Revlon shadow links eyeshadow in sand to get that pop of color. Here, you will get a complete galaxy eye shadow effect. Curl your eyelashes and apply mascara. As the colors in the eye makeup are very vibrant, I did not want to add a heavy eyeliner, so I just applied a black kajal to the waterline and tight line of the eyes.

Try this vibrant and bright galaxy eyes makeup look and be in sync with the latest trend. Okay, this was my tribute to the endless galaxy and the mystery in it. And a tribute to women all around!
