Most of us can go to any extent to get that natural sheen and glow on our skin. In reality however, the sure shot way of getting the desired skin tone and glow lies in a healthy intake of your fruits and veggies. Sheen and glow of the skin are all the external manifestations of the a clean and healthy system on the inside.So the absolute best way to earn that glow is by being healthy. Eating fruits and vegetables is one of the simplest and most effective way in the long run to gain god skin. As the right kinds of fruits and vegetables clean out your system.  Here are some of the fruits and veggies you absolutely must be friends with if you want that flawless and glowing skin.

On the basis of the benefits they provide us, fruits and vegetables are grouped into four categories depending upon their colors.

Fruits good for skin

The orange and yellow group:

Example: mango, orange, apricots, sweet potato, tangerines, carrots, yellow and orange bell peppers and the like are among the best fruits for skin.

These are rich in beta-carbonate which fights free radicals that are formed during the various metabolic reactions that occur in our body. And Vitamin C provides elasticity to the skin and prevent wrinkles from making an appearance for a longer time.

The red group

Example: red bell peppers, guava, papaya, strawberries, tomatoes and others.

The fruits and vegetables that are red in color have an antioxidant called lycopene that offers protection from the sun. This group is also rich in Vitamin C that prevents aging and keeps your skin younger for longer.

The green group

Example: kiwi, broccoli, sprouts, spinach, cabbage, green bell peppers and other green leafy veggies

These greens provide tons of Vitamin A that gives you a glowing complexion and delays the signs of aging.

The purple and blue group

Example: beetroot, eggplant, purple cabbage, blackberries, red grapes, blueberries and plums.

Fruits and veggies in this category are not only loved by your taste buds but also by your skin. These have a very high level of antioxidants. it is the free radical damage that the skin suffers from that brings about the early degeneration to a large extent. These fruits and vegetables help reduce that effect.

This list, by no means is all inclusive. We cannot by any means say that this is the best fruit for skin. Several other fruits and vegetables can also be added to the list. All you need to do is remember the colors next time you go grocery shopping. For invariably the fruits in the  same family of colours tend to have the same results.

As for the servings, it is recommended that a person should have a daily intake of 4-5 servings of 4-5 different fruits and vegetables. If it seems too much for you the best way is to throw all the fruits and veggies in form of a salad. As simple as that and believe me your skin will thank you for doing this!.
