The benefits of aloe vera are known far and wide, and people all over the world use it every day to improve their skin and hair.

In fact, the earliest records of the medicinal use of this green, fleshy plant go as far back as to the 4th century B.C.; where it was used by ancient Greek doctors for various purposes (1)! And if you talk about its uses for beauty, well, Queen Nefertiti and Queen Cleopatra the VII were known to use it as a part of their daily beauty regime!

Hence, it shouldn’t come as a surprise to you if we say that aloe vera can even help you reduce wrinkles in the most effective and safest manner.

Consuming aloe vera gel helps boost the production of collagen, which is a vital protein that forms the foundation of your skin and helps maintain its youthfulness and elasticity – both of which you lose once the aging process starts (2). Besides, the more collagen your body produces, the lesser the wrinkles appear on your skin! So, it’s basically just a win-win for you.

Additionally, aloe vera is also nutrient-rich and contains vitamins C, B1, B3, and B6 along with more than 15 types of amino acids, all of which help in fighting free radicals that are responsible for producing wrinkles (3).

Now, if you’re wondering how you can use aloe vera to fight wrinkles, here are 5 recipes that’ll give you smooth, glowing skin. Read on!
