6 Signs You Are Not Working Out Hard Enough

Don’t we all wish for a slim and trim body and a perfect waistline? Undoubtedly, yes! The best way to achieve this is by following strict and regular workouts and eating balanced meals. But how do you know whether you are doing your best or not? We have put up a quick list of signs that indicate you aren’t working out hard enough.

1. Your Heart Rate Doesn’t Change

Do you monitor your heart rate while jogging or running on the treadmill? Well, that could be one reason you do not see results for the effort you put in. Believe only in what the numbers on your machine show. Start monitoring the intensity of your workout. When you are into high-intensity exercises or on a cardio machine, your heart rate should increase from 75 percent to 100 percent. Don’t just settle for sweating as a sign of high intensity. Some people are more prone to sweat. Believe in numbers.

2. You Tend to Socialize Rather Than Working Out At The Gym

It’s great to be with like-minded people while doing any activity. It’s the same with working out too, but not to the extent that you end up giving more importance to meeting friends at the gym rather than working out. Remember, the gym is not a place to hang out – you have coffee shops for that. Focus on your regime and aim at reducing those extra pounds. Keep distractions away.

3. Before And After Workout Feels The Same

Do you look the same while entering and leaving the gym? Do work out sessions wear you out completely? Or is it just another random activity of the day? If you are not exhausted after a thorough workout, you have not given your 100 percent. You need to push the bar and give your body all it can take. Wake up, reanalyze, and reprogram your routine for better results.

4. There Is No Soreness At All

Within 24 hours of your workout, if your body feels sore, it is a good sign. When you start working out, your body undergoes changes and stretches the muscles beyond their comfort zone. Over time, these muscles repair, adapt, and become stronger. Soreness means that you have pushed your muscles beyond the usual level. Don’t go overboard, though. If soreness affects your daily activities, you must consult an expert.

5. You Are Missing On Motivation

Feeling motivated is extremely important. Looking forward to a good workout session makes all the difference. Dragging through the same exercise might bore you eventually. It is essential to experiment with different workouts that suit your body. Switch between weight training, pilates, yoga, zumba, aerobics, etc

6. Back To Square One. Every Time.

Are you happy with the changes you see in your body after regularly working out? If no, consider revising your exercise plans. Talk to trainers, surprise your body, and watch what you eat. Push yourself beyond limits, and your willpower will take you through.

While it is important to work out for a healthy body and mind, it is also essential to do it the right way. Switch gears and be ready to sweat it out. There is light at the end of the tunnel. Just jog a little faster to reach there sooner.
