Trend Alert: In The Pink

Written by Jyotsana Rao, BE  •

One color that never seems to run out of style and fashion is pink – feminine, yet bold! This season is all about flaunting a healthy pink glow on your face. So, this winter, sport a healthy and rosy flush on your cheeks and play down the lips and eyes. These pointers will let help you keep up with the latest trend.

1. Prep Your Skin

The first and foremost trick to achieving a healthy glow is having a perfect makeup base. The natural and no makeup look works best only if you have prepped your skin perfectly. Start with a lightweight anti-aging serum. It will help reduce wrinkles and fine lines on your skin, and leave it smooth and even.

If you have any discoloration and blemishes, try to correct them using a concealer and color corrector.

2. Add Some Blush

Once you have prepped your skin well, pick a shade of blush that will suit your skin tone. Another factor in selecting the best blush is the type of skin you have. If you have dry or combination skin, then go with creamy textures as they will blend in perfectly with your skin type. If you tend to have oily skin, then you must pick powder blushes.

Picking the correct shade is another important factor as the shade can either make or break this beauty trend. Those with fairer skin tones can go with pale shades of pink while those with dark or medium skin tones can experiment with some vibrant and warm shades.
