What Happens When You Switch To Organic Food – Unbelievable!

Most people prefer the conventionally grown produce rather than opting for the organic ranges, mostly because of their high price and the high rate at which they get damaged. This Swedish family was no different either, till they realized the potential benefits of the organic ranges. Prompted by Coop, a Swedish retail chain, they switched over to organic food for just 15 days. They even opted for organic soaps and personal care items. The results were amazing! The levels of pesticides in the bodies of the entire family dropped significantly in a single day. By the end of 15 days, their bodies had very low levels of pesticides and other compounds.

RMIT researchers have published a report in the Environmental Research stating that even a week-long organic switchover reduces pesticide exposure by 90% in adults.
The carrots, tomatoes, cabbages, apples, and oranges that you eat for their vitamins and minerals carry more than just what you would think they have. That is to say, “an apple a day keeps the doctor away” is not true anymore. In fact, you may be permanently glued to the hospital bed because of these very fruits and veggies, not to mention the grains, seeds, and leaves. The high doses of pesticides and insecticides loaded with organophosphates, carbamates, pyrethroids, etc. cause allergies, hormone disruption, decreased visual ability, memory loss, neurological problems and even fatal diseases like cancer in humans. Though some pesticides and insecticides are banned in a few countries, the WHO estimates three million cases of deaths due to pesticide poisoning.

It is time that working mothers and equally busy fathers choose the slightly expensive but healthier organic items over the cheaper, preservative-loaded, pesticide–rich, canned, easy to cook/store and eat variables and hurl their kids into a perpetual hell of lifelong miserable diseases and complications. Thinking for long term benefits is the key. As for the availability, whenever there is a demand, there would be a supply. So, the awareness and practice of switching over to organic food would certainly prompt farmers to embrace the primitive style of cultivation, which is eco-friendly and which uses only organic manure like dung and vegetable waste – proven to have no side effects at all.
The destiny of our future generation is in our hands!
