In 2009, Adele revealed to the Daily Mail that her weight never really bothered her. She said, “I have never been insecure, ever, about how I look, about what I want to do with myself,” and then went on to say, “My mom told me to only ever do things for myself, not for others.”
She had also told the People, “I’d lose weight if I was an actress and had to play a role where you’re supposed to be 40 pounds lighter, but weight has nothing to do with my career. Even when I was signing a contract, most of the industry knew if anyone ever dared say lose weight to me, they wouldn’t be working with me.” So, what really happened that prompted her weight loss?
Well, the busy schedule that Adele has is very demanding and exhausting. In December 2011, Adele had to get admitted to the hospital to get her vocal chord operated. She spilled the beans on how much sugar she’d consume in a day. “I used to drink 10 cups a day with two sugars in each so I was on 20 sugars a day. In 2016, it was revealed that Adele was following the Sirtfood Diet created by her fitness trainer Pete Geracimo. This diet allows the dieters to consume kale, turmeric, green tea, and buckwheat. I don’t like looking in the mirror.” She also said, “I’ve never had a problem with the way I look. I’d rather have lunch with my friends than go to a gym.” In fact, she told Vogue that she wanted to build some stamina before her tour, and that’s why she needed to lose weight and follow a healthy lifestyle.

- Keep a journal to keep track of your progress.
- Sleep for at least 6-7 hours per day.
- Take a break from your mundane daily routine and go on a trip.
