Holiday Nail Art Design Tutorials

Here are 2 amazing holiday nail art designs with step by step tutorials and pictures.

1. 3D Matte Effect Nail Art Tutorial

Get the party started on your fingers with this matte nail art. Nothing can beat it! A perfect alternative if you do not like flashy nails.

You Will Need

  • Black nail polish
  • Matte top coat
  • Golden glitter nail polish
  • Silver glitter nail polish
  • Nail art brush

How To Apply 3D Matte Effect Nail Design?

Step 1: Apply Black Nail Polish

Start by applying a matte black nail polish. Since matte nail polishes are a bit expensive, you can apply a normal black nail polish. Let it dry for some time.

Step 2: Apply Matte Top Coat

Once the nail polish is dry, apply a matte top coat to give your nail polish a matte effect. Let the top coat dry for some time. The black matte top coat forms the base of your nail art.

Step 3: Apply Gold and Silver Glitter Nail Polish

Now, take a golden and silver glitter nail polish and amp up your nail art with a central stripe of golden and silver glitter. Apply the stripe in a conical shape (somewhat like Eiffel tower!). You can do this with the help of nail polish brush. Else, if your hand is steady enough, use a thin nail art brush and draw the stripe gently. You can also apply some loose glitter over the stripe (when the polish is semi-wet) to add more shine. Wipe off the extra glitter using a wet nail art brush. Follow the same pattern as shown in the above picture. As the glitter polish dries up, apply a matte top coat over it. Your holiday nail art is ready!

This unique nail art will perfectly match your classy and elegant look.

2. Glitzy Maroon Nail Art Tutorial

A classic maroon nail polish is definitely holiday-worthy. This wintry combo of maroon and gold is not only a great look for Christmas but also a festive way to usher in the new year. Glitter adds a little more fun to this classic look. The vibrant golden accent can be a head-turner.

You Will Need

  • Maroon nail polish
  • Golden glitter nail polish
  • Makeup sponge
  • White nail polish
  • Nail art brush

How To Apply Glitz Maroon Nail Design?

Step 1: Apply Maroon and Golden Glitter Nail Polishes

Apply maroon nail polish on all your fingers except the ring finger. Make your nail art look exceptional by applying a golden glitter nail polish on the leftover ring finger. The golden nail polish will add more pizzazz to your nail art.

Step 2: Give Some Holiday Glitz

Give your mani some holiday glitz by applying a golden glitter nail polish on the tips of your nails such that it looks scattered. Apply this glitter on your middle finger and thumb. You can also use a makeup sponge to apply the glitter so that it doesn’t look overdone.

Step 3: Draw Two Horizontal Lines

For the index and little fingers, take a thin nail art brush, dip it in white color nail paint, and draw two horizontal lines just below your fingertips. Apply a clear top coat to seal the design. Stick with two stripes only, or maximum three because extra stripes can look a bit overdone.

Instead of spending bucks in parlors and nail salons, just follow these easy tutorials and achieve the desired looks at home.

Hope you enjoyed reading the post. Do not forget to share these designs with your friends and relatives.

Till then, Happy Holidays!
