Maybelline should improve on the shades texture, consistency, pigmentation and replace the sponge applicator with a brush
The back of the case has suggestion of how to combine the tones to get a desired shade.
I am crazy about the products that goes on my eyes. I highlight my eyes in all occasions. Whatever the occasion it may be, from a professional meeting, get together to the parties and functions, I take care that my eyes look good. Maybelline New York The 24K Nudes Palette is my love at first sight. I have been using Lakme eye shadow palette before that. It had 4 shades, so when I saw this Maybelline New York The 24K Nudes Palette with 12 shades, I couldn't resist buying it. The Maybelline New York The 24K Nudes Palette comes in a dull gold sleek case.It has a transparent lid through which one can see the shades which range from matte to shimmer. It has an applicator with sponge but it is useless as the shades doesn't stand on it and I had to depend on my eye shadow brush. At the back side of the case they have given suggestions of how to get the shades we like by combining the tones and it is useful for newbie like me as I have just used gold and pink eye shadows before. It is travel friendly and fit into purses when you use them for touch-ups. It is of acceptable price. The shades selection which they have provided are amazing but doesn't look the same when you wear them on. Especially the purple shade looked muddy when I wore them. I reapplied 2 to 3 times expecting a great color but it was still gave a muddy look. The shades have a texture of creamy and cakey and fallout easily without primer. It is advisable to use an eye primer before the application of the shades, so that it may stay longer hours and you get a dark shade similar of what you wanted on applying twice or thrice. The shade gold is good, easy to apply and stands for a longer time even without an eye primer. The other shades are powdery especially the black and brown ones. They lack pigmentation and it is difficult to blend them to get a perfect shade and looks patchy. Maybelline should improve on the shades texture, consistency, pigmentation and replace the sponge applicator with a brush.View More…
