My views on sunscreen changed after I started using Lakme Sun Expert SPF 24 PA++ UV Lotion. I say this because my skin is very sensitive and needs extra attention. And all the sunscreens I used before were either too greasy or left a white cast. Some even gave me rashes.
Considering that, with apprehension, I got this sunscreen lotion from Lakme. The bottle looks like a mini body lotion, and even the consistency is runny like a body lotion. So, this sunscreen can be used both as a face cream and as a body lotion. I personally prefer it on my face because the quantity is too less to be used both on my face and body.
Since it is flowy, I was quite worried that it would make my face sticky and greasy. However, that did not happen. It kept my skin matte without making it stretchy the whole day. As soon as I blend it, the lotion gets absorbed and gives a mild radiance, which is the best thing for my dry skin.
It’s 8 months now and this sunscreen has become my all-time moisturizer. Like I said earlier, I have sensitive skin which tends to react quickly. But till date, I have not faced any problems with this product.
Will I suggest Lakme Sun Expert SPF 24 PA++ UV Lotion to others? Hell yeah! This lotion is a light formula which is non-sticky, gets absorbed very fast without any hassle, and it is one of the best for the winter season. It works well during the summer season too, but reapplication is needed. But during the winter season, it is more effective. Give it a go!
Good for sensitive skin
Reapplication is required during the summer season
Isn’t it annoying to see your face bare after sweating, even after you have applied tons of sunscreen? If you are looking for a possible solution to this problem, Lotus Herbals Safe Sun UV Screen Matte Gel PA+++ SPF 50 is what you are looking for. At least for me, this sunscreen turned out to be successful. However, it might not work the same for all.
My skin is very oily, so much that after a few minutes of wash, it gets back to its oily state. So that’s why I try my best to stay away from cream-based moisturizers. For oily skin, gel-based formulas are the best!
Ever since I got Lotus Herbals Safe Sun UV Screen Matte Gel PA+++ SPF 50, I use it twice a day daily. The gel glides on my skin smoothly and gets absorbed quickly. The packaging of this sunscreen is also very well designed. It is convenient and travel-friendly.
This sunscreen keeps my oiliness away for about four to five hours, which is superb! Like I mentioned earlier, even when I sweat, the layer of protection does not fade off. I think this explains its price. It is a keeper for sure!
Does not clog pores
Controls oil secretion
Does not wear off
Not for dry skin
I like the concept of a cushion liquid foundation. It just puts the touch-up game to the next level. I can get a foundation touch-up with a compact-like way. The container itself looks like a compact.
Now coming to this product, I don’t think it is of the best quality. I have used better ones. I have very light skin with cool undertones, so I chose Ivory. Even if it is the lightest shade available, it made me look yellow. So, I will not be using it again. I did like the dewy effect, and the cushion makes the whole application very easy. Overall, it should be an Ok foundation, but just not right for me. I wish Maybelline comes up with lighter shades.
Imparts a dewy finish
Limited shades available
I love this product from Himalaya. I have been using this for almost two years now, and it hasn’t disappointed me in any way. It really works for me. My hairs feel so light and soft. The texture of my hair seems to have improved, and it looks very healthy.
My oily hair is well cleaned, and it stays like that for two days. This shampoo has helped my hair to look good and healthy. No wonder Himalaya products are getting recognized internationally!
Imparts shine to hair
Makes hair soft
Makes hair healthy
My hair is not chemically treated, but I am using this product since last year. I have extremely frizzy hair, so much so that I never look fresh. But the L'Oreal Professionnel XTenso Care Pro Shampoo has changed my life.
I use it thrice a week because I have dry hair. After every wash, my hair feels light, beautiful and frizz free. I will suggest this shampoo to anyone suffering from dull hair. It is the best.
Makes hair more manageable
Revives dull hair
If you think about night cream, what do you usually expect?
If you ask me the same question, my answer will be hydration, nourishment, rejuvenation, healing damaged skin, tightening pores, and healthy happy skin.
Lotus Herbals WhiteGlow Skin Whitening & Brightening Nourishing Night Crème is my first night cream. I didn’t require to use it before because my skin was doing fine. But after my reckless “no-care” attitude, I got myself into trouble. For months and months, my skin has been feeling dull, dehydrated and I’m getting so many small zits on my forehead.
I started using this night cream for three weeks and here is my experience so far.
Every night before I go off to sleep, my night regimen is to wash my face thoroughly and apply this cream with a minute massage. Then I’m off to sleep.
I have been following this routine sincerely, and being constant is the key to results. This night cream is light in texture, non-greasy and gets absorbed very quickly. After I started using this cream, I always wake up with a radiant glow. My skin does not feel dull anymore, and the skin texture has improved to a certain level.
It comes in a silver glass jar and a screw gray lid and an inner flat white cover to protect the cream from spillage. The packaging looks good, but I am not in favor of it as I prefer a tube dispenser instead. It is a mild issue as I always wash my hands first before use.
It gives very nice nourishment, but that’s about it. No results in reducing spots or zits. Its claims on brightening and whitening are false. I see no change. So now, if you ask me if I like this night cream, my answer will be - not really. I don’t hate it, but it is not something I will use again.
Not effective on dark spots
I had such high expectation with this moisturizer after reading so many good reviews about it. But what I got was utterly disappointing, considering the money I paid for it. The illumination it gives me is very subtle, but when I mix it with my foundation it is almost non-existent. Yes, it is very hydrating for my combination skin, but I wish there was more illumination in the product. I will not be buying this product again.
Not illuminating enough
The effect disappears when mixed with foundation
As I recall, i first found the mini pack of this lotion. Though it is called a “mini” pack, I used it for so long. So I got the bigger bottle, almost seven to eight month back. Below is my honest review:
This lotion comes in a very fancy pearly bottle with a black cap dispenser. At first, I was very fascinated with the idea of turning the dispenser sideways to access the lotion, but after a while, I got over it. I say this because the dispenser does not have a cover, so the lotion clogs the tip. And on the next application, the dried lotion also gets dispensed. That makes it unhygienic. But travel-wise, I will say it is friendly.
Now with its efficacy, it is clear how much I like it, otherwise why would I use it for so long. Let me give you my insight.
The texture is water-based which makes it runny and lightweight. The lotion is very easy to apply. The best part is it gets absorbed very quickly. So I don’t have to waste my time waiting for it to set. After application, it gives my combination skin a sheen without making it oily. Seems like magic, doesn’t it?
Usually, oil control lotions tend to dry out your skin. But the M.A.C Oil Control Lotion isn’t one of them. It controls the oiliness without drying ny skin or making it stretchy. Besides that, it makes for a perfect base for my foundation. There are times when I forget to wear this lotion under my makeup and I see a significant difference in the duration of my makeup.
The M.A.C Oil Control Lotion is one of the best I’ve used so far, and I see myself holding on to it for a really long time.
Moisturizes your skin
Gets absorbed quickly
A little product goes a long way
Makes makeup last longer
Does not dry out your skin
Who doesn’t know about The Body Shop products, right? If there is any sale, I rush to the nearest store all the time. The thing that made me love TBS so much is the fruity fragrance in almost every product I have used. When I saw this Vitamin E Moisture Cream, even before knowing what it is made for, I was drawn to it by its baby pink packaging.
Once I realized what it is for, I had to get it because it was just the thing I was looking for – a deep moisturizer for the harsh winter. My skin is combination during summer and dry in winters.
So, now that “winter is here,” this moisturizer was a perfect option. It has been three weeks since I have started using it. For my first use, I didn’t know how much quantity to use. So I took quite a lot, and that made my skin very greasy. My heart almost broke. But the next day I took a little smaller quantity, and it worked so well. Since then, I just take a small amount, and that itself is enough to cover my whole face and neck.
So these three weeks have been such a lovely experience with The Body Shop Vitamin E Moisture Cream. It makes my skin moist in the right way, does not make my skin greasy and it feels so soft. I haven’t had any breakouts as well (phew!).
And yes! The smell! I wish I can say something positive about it since I love TBS mostly because of it. But unfortunately, this particular cream does not share the same trait like the ones I love. And though the packaging is pretty, having to scoop it with my finger all the time feels unhygienic.
Makes the skin soft
A little goes a long way
Provides balanced moisturization
Infused with Vitamin E
I read so many positive reviews of Lakme Absolute Argan Oil Radiance Oil-In-Creme. So for my dry patches, I got one for myself too.
I was taken aback that it needs quite some effort to blend because of the white cast it leaves behind. After blending properly, it does go away, but I still don’t like it. I should have gone for the serum instead. Drowning in my regrets now.
SPF 30 PA++
