Suitable for all skin types
Makes complexion even
It is a palette of four concealers and two correctors. The shades available is suitable for every skin type. However, with MAC products I feel that they are too much expensive. To make a repurchase one has to rethink twice unless she is a huge fan of this brand. This conceals cum corrector palette comes in INR 3350, which is too much costly for me. Anyways, its packaging is compact and sturdy though, but no mirror or any sort of applicator is been provided with the packaging. Hence, according to me, this stuff cannot be considered as travel-friendly. The texture of all concealers and correctors are pretty thick and creamy. But they are easy to blend with the makeup brushes and provides you the buildable coverage. If you are a ‘pro’ in using concealers and correctors then you may also get medium to full coverage. It does not look cakey as well. Its unique formula makes it long-lasting in staying power. It can stay on your face for 8 hours! For me, it is pretty good. Lastly, all the shades available in the palette are highly pigmented. So, to summarise, I would say that MAC Studio Conceal and Correct palette has lots of PROS in it and one can think of buying this product if the price tag is not a matter of concern.
Mild, soothing aroma
Not effective on severe dandruff
This hair conditioner retails for Rs 1350 for 200ml. The packaging is just like any other ayurvedic or herbal shampoo – a transparent plastic body with a pin-to-open nozzle. Like every hair conditioner, this conditioner also comes in white color, however, the consistency is not completely runny, rather it is pretty much thicker and seems to be like a body lotion. The best part of this hair conditioner I would say that to rinse it off is quite easily in comparison to any other of its competitors. You need not have to use gallons of water to rinse it off. Although, it not completely chemical-free, yes, it is free from the harmful chemicals like SLES/SLS. Hairs feel soft and manageable with an improved texture. So, overall, it is worth of trying however, it gives better results when it is used after its sister shampoo. Apart from being costly, I do not see any other Con attached to it. Hence, I would surely recommend this to all my friends.
Soft, glittery texture
Less Staying power
The USP of Blue Heaven Products is that they are affordable and comes in a budget-friendly range. Moreover, they are widely available, both offline and online. The packaging of this blush comes in a round-shaped plastic case with a transparent lid cover. The packaging also includes a sponge applicator too. In short, the packaging is pretty simple and can be considered as travel-friendly. The range of shades offered in these blushes are very beautiful and looks good on every Indian skin tone. It has a very mild fragrance which is not at all bothering. The texture is like a soft cream which gets blends very easily and smoothly. However, it is not much long-lasting; it hardly stays for 3 hours on my skin. Now if we see its pigmentation, then it is decently pigmented. However, while applying it on your face you have to swirl that applicator twice or thrice to get the color. So, overall, it is a nice, and budget-friendly blush with less staying power and decent pigmentation.
Retractable pencil packaging
Available in bright shades
Suitable for daily use
Before buying this 3 in brow pencil, I was skeptical about its results because I hardly do any makeup on my eyebrows. But as my eyebrows are pretty thin and light, most of my friends suggested trying a good brow pencil. After a lot of research, I zeroed down to this 3 in 1 brow pencil. This 3 in 1 brow pencil comes along with a retractable eyebrow pencil, powder stick, and brow mascara. The packaging is super convenient and easy to use. This is travel-friendly too. The best part – packaging has shown the image representation of the tutorial as well. It is easy to apply as well, especially step 1, and step 2. Step 1 is to outline your eyebrows using the brow pencil. Step 2 is the application of the brow powder. It fills the sparse areas of your brows. Step 3 was quite difficult for me and was not so satisfactory as well which is the use of brow mascara. It is used with an intention to hold the brow hairs at one place. This step 3 made me disappointed as the results were horrible. The brow mascara made my eyebrows very clumpy and unnatural. Hence, I feel that until step 2, it is all good. But yes, please remember, while applying brow pencil you have to be very gentle as it is highly pigmented. A little bit of pressure can make you look weird. Therefore, be cautious. The shade was a point lighter than the exact shade, however, it was brown in color. Moreover, the quantity offered in this 3 in 1 pencil is also very less, as in a single packaging one is getting three different products with their respective applicators. Lastly, to conclude I would say that this 3 in 1 pencil is good but not a ‘wow’ product. You can have a better choice available if you are in need of any brow makeup.
Mac Studio Fix Perfect Powder is a soft and creamy setting powder. Brand-wise, it is of 'pro-quality', however, I did not find it so. It is good, helps my makeup look better and fuller, yet it does not provide anything special like any loose powder. Not being in a powdery texture, I apply it using my foundation brush, which makes it easy to apply as well as settle. This perfect powder makes my makeup oil-free and long lasting, but I believe this quality is also present in my loose powder of another brand. In fact, I also spent a few more bucks for this powder. Therefore, I would say that although this perfecting powder is good, the results it gives can be achieved by any inexpensive perfecting powder. Once I complete this pack, I will not buy it again, and I am sure that other products with similar quality and characteristics are also widely available in the market.
Can cause a burning sensation
The brand has come up with this Clarifying Lotion 1.0 as an improvement to their Mild Clarifying Lotion. However, this new version of clarifying lotion is not so good in terms of exfoliating purpose. This lotion comes in a plastic bottle of sea green color which opaque in terms of visibility. This lotion has to be applied on all over the face using with a cotton pad or with just fingers. It has to apply like any toner. Although it is lightweight and easy to apply, still, it doesn’t provide the desired results. It is meant for the dry skin. But it irritates a lot because of the presence of some alcohol and some kind of acids. Moreover, the pH level is too high than the recommended one for the exfoliation purpose. Yes, it is fragrance-free. It may moisturize as well as softens your skin if it gets suited to your dry skin. Otherwise, on the contrary, it may dry your skin further. Therefore, I would never recommend this to anyone.
I am a fragrance lover, and I keep in trying various perfumes and deodorant. I prefer EDT because they are long-lasting and quite moderate in their sillage. Therefore, I was in perception that this Guess 1981 EDT is going to deliver the same expectations. However, I am not so happy with this EDT. Firstly, it is soft in its sillage, wherein the fragrance sits in the body without leaving the trail. Secondly, the base notes are not very appealing to me. Although, its top notes – violet and ambrette are very intense and even its middle notes (Jasmine, Pear, and Sandalwood) too. But the base notes – Amber, Cedar, and Musk, are on their neutral side. Being a fragrance lover (as I said earlier), I paid approximately 2200 INR for this 100 ml of EDT, I am not so convinced with my purchase. I use it for my office going purpose, however, I am trying to finish it soon so that I can look for any better EDTs.
Easy to use
Crease-proof and smudge-proof
Does not fade easily
Not fine-textured shimmers
This eyeshadow palette comes in a square-shaped packaging with no mirror. It has a tiny sponge applicator only. The pigmentation is decent but not perfect, however, it is buildable. It does not crease, neither smudge. It comes in an affordable price tag too, but in India, it is not widely available offline. But one can check with Revlon store offline. The shades are beautiful and can work on a daily makeup routine. The two shades of each quad are shimmery and the other two are matte. But the consistency is quite powdery, when using the brush on the palette one has to be quite careful because of its powdery consistency. Overall, it is good to try, but the con which I felt about is the absence of an attached mirror, as this only makes it NOT a travel-friendly. Secondly, the shades are not perfectly pigmented. Although they are buildable, still you have to make efforts to get a good color pay off.
Value for money
Easy to apply and remove
Suitable for all skin types
Average color payoff
This holographic stick is nothing but the glossy highlighters which comes in vivid colours and shades. They are affordable luminous highlighters, which can be added in your makeup routine. Shades are beautiful and if someone love using glossy highlighters then they can be the best choice. Pigmentation varies between the skin tone. On dark sin tone, these highlighters show up beautifully, whereas on dusky or fair complexion skin tone, these highlighters give an icy look or somewhat sheen. According to my opinion, these highlighters are the best ones for the darker skin tone. They are very easy to blend, and creamy in texture. In fact, I agree on the fact that these highlighters are easy to apply as well. You need not have to be pro in applying these highlighters. Just a single swipe on your cheek bone and blend it using your fingertips and you’re done! Hence, according to me, these are worth of trying and I must suggest highlighter lovers that go, and try this new range from NYX professional makeup, you won’t be disappointed.
Doesn’t dry skin
Slightly runny consistency
Lovely grass-like aroma
MAC gel cleanser contains algae and cucumber extracts and is good for the oily skin. It is deep cleanses the pores and makes the skin soft and supple. Skin glows and looks bright after its use. This gel cleanser comes in a pack of 30 ml plastic tube in green color. The consistency of this cleanser is typical like of any gel, however it lathers a lot when applied on a wet face. A gentle rub is sufficient to get the desired results. It is good for the oily skin as well because it does not clog the pores. Skin looks bright and vibrant. So, overall, it is good to face cleanser, however, it is not widely available in India. But you can check the MAC stores for the availability. It is costly too, but worthy enough to use. Hence, I would recommend this MAC Green gel cleanser. A thumbs up from my side, dry skin people, you may skip this recommendation.
Hard to sharpen the pencil
These are awesome. They are the best option for eye makeup lovers. This eyeshadow stick comes at a retail price of Rs 400 for 3.25gm of quantity. This eyeshadow comes in crayon-like pencil with a transparent lid. The packaging also includes the color coding for the better selection of the shade. However, according to me the packaging does not seems to be travel-friendly as the cap is not sturdy enough to remain break-free. It may break after some time. Now, if Talk about its texture then it is creamy and very smooth. It glides so perfectly and neatly. It has buildable pigmentation. However, the built-up pigmentation sometimes looks cakey. The shades are quite shimmery but nude, hence you can try them on any of the formal occasion as well. The staying power is not very satisfactory as it varies between 3 to 4 hours. The best solution for this will be the application of loose powder underneath. So to summarise, I would say that this eyeshadow stick from the brand Rimmel is affordable, widely available, good for everyday use and easy to apply. On the flipper side, sharpening leads to wastage.
This Tea tree pore minimizer comes for Rs 1495 wherein you will get just 30ml of the tube. The packaging is absolutely travel-friendly and safe. The consistency is smooth just like any moisturizer and the color is pale yellow. It blends very easily and the required quantity is also very less. The fragrance is a bit strong, but that does not irritate. This product does not help in minimizing the open pores permanently, rather it gives only a temporary solution. In other words, I can say that it acts as a primer which is usually used to blur out the minor imperfections of the facial skin. But when you remove the primer from your face, your true skin reflects. Therefore, I won’t say that this product is effective to provide a permanent solution to the pores. Hence, paying this big amount for just a ‘primer-like’ product is not so good idea for me. Therefore, I am not so happy and will not recommend this anyone. I Will give 3 stars out of 5.
Makes skin soft and supple
Leakage-proof tube packaging
A little goes a long way
Good for oily skin
Removes dirt and impurities
Not for dry skin
This facewash comes in a tube of 80g which retails for INR 105.00. The packaging is convenient, safe and travel-friendly. The consistency is pretty thick and it lathers a lot. It comes in a leakage-proof pack, which we have to remove it before using for the first time. Although this face wash is meant for oily skin as it helps in controlling excess oil and does not allow in clogging the pores, I did not find it as any distinguished face wash. I felt it as similar to any other facewash. For a few minutes, you will find yourself fresh and clean but later you will get sweat and stickiness on your face as usual. It does not help to minimize the acne or pimple. Neither it removes blemishes. Your skin stays as just the same as before. Therefore, I don’t think that this facewash is worth to try. Instead, you can try any other facewash which may give better results than this facewash.
Suitable for all skin types
Serum/water like consistency
Suitable for all-day wear
Provides instant hydration
UVA/UVB SPF 30 protection
Imparts a natural glow
Stay true color
Blurs pores and wrinkles
No foundation brush
Not travel-friendly packaging
The MAC studio water weight foundation is amazing for the dry skin. However, oil ski people of you love the dewy finish, not that matte finish then you may try it otherwise not. This foundation comes in a glass bottle of 30 ml which comes along with a dropper cap. The consistency is quite a runny because it acts like a serum. It provides sheer to medium coverage. So, if you have minor imperfections on your skin then you can see the good results, otherwise dark circles, acne marks or any other dark mark will not get covered with this water-based foundation. Dry skin people will feel good post application as it hydrates the skin providing the refreshing and natural look, whereas oily skin may not love it much. It is buildable to medium coverage only. It does not stay much on the face, despite with claim of being long-lasting. It gives a dewy and natural look. It is weightless and does not have any fragrance in it. So, overall it is an amazing water-based foundation for dry skin and can be used daily. It bends very easily too with both brush and fingertips. Hence, recommended if you have dry skin, otherwise, you may skip buying it.
Contains mineral oil
I have used Parachute Coconut oil several times and I was quite unhappy with that oil as it was too greasy in its texture. Still, I tried this new avatar of Parachute Advanced hair oil thinking it to be better than the former. But to be frank, I am disappointed again. This hair oil is less sticky and greasy than the parachute coconut oil, but it does not justify its claims at all. Moreover, if you see to its ingredients side, it has 49.6% of mineral oil which is quite huge in amount. Also, I have that post applying this hair oil, the hair fall issue has increased to a great extent. Earlier, my hair did not used to fall so much like the way it is falling now. Furthermore, this oil has a strong fragrance which looks very artificial and chemical-based. So, anyone like me who does not love high notes of fragrance then this oil is no-way for them. The percentage of aloe vera extract is too less. So, I believe that this oil is not of any herbal range neither it gives the desired results. So, therefore, despite it is pocket friendly I will not suggest it to anyone because I feel that if anyone is looking for aloe vera gel to be applied then he/she can apply the natural aloe vera gel from the plant itself, or one can buy 99.9% original aloe vera gel from the market and add it to the oil and apply it. Why anyone would be interested in applying mineral oils and chemicals on the scalp. It is always harmful, therefore, Parachute Advanced aloe vera enriched coconut hair oil is no way recommended from my side. I am disappointed again with this old and renowned brand. I will give only 1 star out of 5.
Good for oily T-zone
Draws out impurities
Can dry out normal skin
Let me start with its price which is Rs2300/- for 100 ml of product. It goes for approximately 1 year. The packaging comes in a plastic container of beautiful sea blue color. Its fragrance is very beautiful and refreshing. The texture is very smooth and it is very easy to apply on the face and it gets washed off easily too. Otherwise, many other masks need several efforts to get removed and washed off from the face. It is good if you keep it on your face for 15-20 minutes. You can apply it at any time of the day, there is no such routine specified for this product. As this product is best for oily skin and combination skin, dry skin people will not get any good results out from it. It helps to control the sebum which leads to an excess oil formation in the skin. When I had applied it for the first time, my skin got soft and supple. Moreover, the blackheads, as well as the whiteheads, has been reduced to a greater extent. I am using this clay mask for the last 3 to 4 weeks and I can see the notable changes in my skin texture. Furthermore, no breakouts or new acne is noticed as of now. Since oily skin is prone to acne, I am always very selective in trying any new products, but this clay mask has been like a holy grail for my skin. Hence, to summarise, I would suggest this clay mask for oily skin and combination skin type people. Please do not apply it on your dry areas if you are of combination skin, as it will dry up that area more. Yes, the price is a bit high, but it is all worthy if it is giving the desired results.
Deep nourishing conditioner
Fresh, soothing fragrance
Hydrates dull hair
Doesn’t dry hair
The packaging of this conditioner is quite typical in my point of view as whenever any brand claims to be ‘natural’, then they usually prefer earthy colors and relatable color tones for their product’s packaging. And so, it goes with this conditioner too. The Henna green color with golden cap symbolizes ‘natural ingredient’. Brand mentions that this conditioner has vitamin E and virgin Olive oil which will nourish dry and rough hair. Hence after going with so many claims by the brand, I thought to give a try as I was struggling with my dry and dull hairs. So, let me start with its price first. It retails for Rs 170 for 175 ml, which is quite okay for me. After applying shampoo on my hair, I applied this conditioner as per to the instructions given on the backside of the packaging. The fragrance is mild but it is pleasant and good. The consistency is neither too runny nor too thick; it is on the medium side. It spreads easily on the wet hair and comes off easily too when washed. After using it for a month, I noticed that my hairs are now more manageable, less frizzy and look good in comparison to those previous days. I did not feel my scalp itchy as well. As the texture of my hair is improved now so I guess the hair fall issue has also reduced to some extent. I shampoo my hair twice in a week followed by the application of this conditioner. So, until now, it is all well and I am loving this conditioner. And hence I would suggest this conditioner to all with dry and rough hair. But yes, I am going to use it along with its shampoo. I believe it will give better results.

Dove has always been a trusted brand. Their products are running in the market for ages. Therefore, if I talk about their body lotion then definitely there will be a positive expectation. First of all, this body lotion is specially formulated for normal to dry skin people. So, if any oily skin person tries it, then she may not love this body lotion. This body lotion retails for Rs 180 for 250 ml, which is quite pocket-friendly. The consistency is pretty thick and the moisturization formula is quite high. It is greasy hence good for only dry skin because it will show them the required results. It is long-lasting which the best part (according to me) as I feel none of the other body lotions are quite efficient enough to stay longer on the skin. My sister, who has dry skin, keep this body lotion for the winters and she loves this product. She tells that she need not have to reapply this lotion again as the skin stays moisturized for good long hours, which is needed indeed. So, if I summarise my review then I would mention that this body lotion is budget-friendly, long-lasting, effective in keeping dry skin moisturized, not at all for oily skin, gets easily absorbed by the skin. The only con is the presence of parabens in it. Secondly, the fragrance is a bit of a higher note. But that is only my opinion. It may not bother you. Hence, if you are looking for a good body lotion for softening your dry skin, then this Dove Essential Nourishment body lotion will be the right for you. Totally recommended as it serves the purpose of use and will give 4 stars out 5. Deducting 1 star for parabens and a bit of strong smell. Loved it.
Not suitable for sensitive skin
Does not prevent pimples
This soap itself says that it is No. 1 :D However, I did feel the same. This soap contains sandal as its major ingredient which is not suitable to every skin type. I have oily and acne-prone skin. Once I have applied this soap unknowingly the fact that it can lead to further acne and breakout. My skin started irritating because I had some open acnes too. But that too they were less. I immediately washed off my face and did not apply it again. Moreover, my mum, who has clear skin, also says that she also feels irritation on her facial skin, however, she felt that it is normal. Hence, I do not recommend this soap to anyone because it does not serve the purpose at all. Just with the good packaging none of the product can say that it is good. The price is okay in terms of the customer point of view. But did not like the product at all. It has chemical ingredients as well.
Makes skin rough
Causes mild breakouts
Doesn’t lather well
Not for dry skin
Patanjali brand claims to provide the best and cheaper alternative product which are made of ayurvedic ingredients over any other commercialized products. Hence, you will find its majority of products in very simple packaging. And that goes with this body cleanser aka body soap too. The packaging cover is too simple in a green and white cover wrap with neem image imprinted. The actual soap comes in dark grey color. The fragrance of this soap is quite similar to that of Medimix soap, typical herbal type. However, despite claiming to be 100% herbal and safe for the skin, I did not feel it be genuine. Even after using it for a month, I did not find a single positive change in my skin texture. I had the same old facial scar marks, sweaty skin, etc. I feel that Patanjali just misuse the Indian psychology and respect which we show towards the ayurvedic ingredients. Otherwise, this brand is absolutely waste. Highly Dissatisfied.
Nourishes and softens skin
Suitable for all skin types
Travel-friendly tube packaging
Removes skin tan
This is nothing but a face mask for exfoliating purpose. It costs around 3750INR for just 70ml of the tube. The tube is simple, white-colored and black screw-capped. It is travel-friendly as it does not allow any accidental spill, rather you have to squeeze it to get the product out. The texture is superfine, unlike any other scrubber which is usually rough and feels hard on the skin. Despite superfine in texture, it is effective in cleaning out the dead cells resulting in giving healthier and glowing skin. Yes, you have to massage your skin properly in a circular motion. It is good for the oily skin as well, as its ingredients are capable enough to absorb extra oil from the skin and giving the proper nourishment. Still, being effective in giving the desired results, I did not feel myself to repurchase it as there is nothing so distinguished in this boost mask, moreover, the price is too high. Rather, I can go for any other option which will good too and pocket-friendly too.
Value for money
Beautiful color payoff
Long staying power
Tough to remove
Not safe to use on waterline
Needs frequent sharpening
This eye pencil has smooth formulation and gives your eyes a rich look in just one stroke of application. It costs Rs 325 and it is widely available in different shades, which includes blue, Choco brown, grey, green, purple, and silver and black. The texture is soft and creamy. It can survive the splash of water and it is somewhere smudge-proof, but it takes a bit extra time to dry. It is long-lasting too. The packaging is good and travel-friendly. The end side of the pencil is colored with the corresponding shade. The shades are pigmented enough to show the best color pay-off in one single swipe. The shades are intense. Besides, this eyeliner pencil does not bleed as well. Now if I share the cons of this eye pencil, then at first, I would mention that being the formulation very soft and creamy, this eye pencil tends to get blunt very fast. You may have to sharpen again and again. Moreover, the tip breaks very often too.
Long staying power
Wide range of shades
It is a high-end lip color. It is clearly depictable from the packaging itself. Very sleek and metallic-like finished packaging. This lipstick costs Rs 2250 and the net quantity available is 3.6g. The texture of this lip color is very soft and velvety like smooth. It glides very smoothly on the lips without much pressure. The formula is also very hydrating as it does not let your lips feel dry or scaly. The pigmentation is absolutely awesome and you can see the perfect shade on our lips in just single swipe. As its name implies, it gives a creamy look rather than a completely matte look. It feels like soft moisturizing matte finish when applied on the lips. This lipstick is very comfortable and lightweight when applied and it is transfer-proof as well. It does not bleed nor smudge. The lasting power of this lipstick is pretty good which is 5 hours. It can survive light meals but if you eat any oily then you may need to touch up. Overall, this lipstick is good to try, hence I would recommend this lipstick to all lipstick lovers.
Easy to use
Does not last for 10 days as it claims
I love trying nail polishes and I love those nail paints which are long-lasting, quick-drying and does not chip off weirdly. So, if I talk about this nail polish then I must say that this is a quick-drying one. You need not have to wait 10 minutes to let your nail paint dry. It dries quickly and it is very pigmented too. Although two coats of nail polish give excellent color pay off, this nail polish gives a beautiful shade in just one coat. Its formula is very good and easy to work with. If you’re in a hurry and does not want your nail polish look streaky, then this nail polish is the right choice. Now, its flipper side. It is not long-lasting at all. It starts chipping off in huge in just 2 days. Therefore, it is suggested to apply this nail paint on the day of the occasion, not before that, otherwise, it will chip off on that occasion day. Price-wise it is okay, not so costly. Widely available online. However, I am not so satisfied with this nail polish.
Gets absorbed quickly
May cling to dry patches
This honey moisturizer from VLCC comes in the MRP of 215/- wherein the net quantity of the product of 100 ml. Its packaging is not similar to that of any moisturizer. Rather it looks like a bottle of body lotion. Else, the packaging is compact, travel-friendly which has flip-cap. The consistency is quite runny in comparison to any other moisturizer, but it blends very nicely on the skin. However, the texture is smooth and light. Its fragrance is also mild. But this moisturizer is best suited for normal and dry skin people only. This product can be used as a night crème. Oily skin people will get some extra sweating after its application because of its major ingredient Honey, and the people with super sensitive skin will get the irritation post applying. Therefore, this moisturizer is not that great product from the brand VLCC and I also felt that the price is on the higher side in comparison to the price paid for it.
Easy to apply and remove
Color intense liner
Bright matte finish
Free of lumps
No shine and shimmer
Not suitable for lower lash line
This eyeliner is the best according to my opinion. However, the price is on the higher side, but it truly justifies its claim. The brand claims that this eyeliner is smudge-proof and water-proof and last long for good hours. And yes, the brand is true. I had applied this eyeliner on my friend’s wedding and believe it lasted long for 12 hours. It did not smudge at all, neither it faded away. I had to apply my makeup remover to remove. Its texture is smooth. The wand is bit small and the bristles are pretty thick, therefore with this eyeliner, you can make the bold liner. You cannot make winger liner though. The MRP is Rs 695 for just 3.5 ml. So, if I do not see its price tag then this eyeliner is my first choice otherwise, I have to forego all my basic needs from an eyeliner. So, recommended and I will surely buy it again.
Enriched with argan oil
Contains SPF 45
Medium to full buildable coverage
Great for dry skin
Poor shade range
Doesn’t blend easily
Not for all skin types
Might feel heavy
Lakme Absolute Argan Oil serum foundation come in a 15ml of plastic bottle which looks very different but attractive. It has its dropper too for dispensing purpose. As this foundation is a serum-based and has argan oil as its one of the major ingredients, its consistency is quite runny. But it blends very easily to the skin giving fresher and the shinier look to the face. For oily skin people, this serum foundation may not be a good option as it creates a lot of oiliness over the skin surface. Especially, during the summers this foundation is big ‘NO’ for all skin types. The lasting power as well is not so great, as it stays only for 3 to 4 hours on the skin and after that, it starts fading giving out a very uneven look. The coverage is also of medium and it does not conceal any dark spots. The price of this Lakme Absolute Argan Oil serum foundation is Rs 750 wherein only 15ml of a bottle is provided. So, I feel this product is not so worthy enough to buy. Hence, not recommended.
Easy to use
NYX Professional makeup glitter primer is something which I do not use more frequently. However, this glitter primer is effective in showing up the desired results. One has to be very much proficient in applying the primer on the eyelids and then glitter on them. It does not let the glitter fall and make them last longer for a longer duration. It is a lightweight primer and does not feel oily or heavy on the skin. Concerning its price, it is quite costly if we look out to our Indian market, but this product is worthy of anyone loves glittering the eyelids. The packaging is travel-friendly as it comes in a plastic tube with a screw cap. And the quantity of this primer goes for a long time as one needs just a drop of it to make a base on the eyelids. Overall, a good product and can be tried if it is highly needed.
Imparts a natural glow
Doesn’t appear cakey
Easy to use
Doesn’t last long
This blush comes in a round-shaped compact packaging which is so travel-friendly that can come in a pocket as well. :D It is easy to carry as well as its transparent cover lid makes it easier to choose its shade. However, the packaging is quite flimsy. The pigmentation of these blushes is sufficient enough to give desired shine and glow to your cheeks. They can be easily blended and buildable. The shades are good for the Indian Skin tones. This compact comes with a price tag of Rs 299, however, lots of discount runs over the online shopping portal. This blush does not come along with any blush applicator, due to its compact and pocket-sized packaging. So, overall, I am happy with this Maybelline color show blush because it is not only good for self-use but it can also be a good choice for gifting purpose. So, recommended for daily use.
Ultra-care hydrating formula
Great shade range
Highly pigmented color
Doesn’t last long
Unevenly pigmented shades
I am crazy for these lipsticks as they are matte and velvety in texture. Their dark shades, as well as their nude ones, are beautiful to try out. These lipsticks are cost-effective because they retail for INR 325 wherein you will get 3.9 gm of lip color. Two or three of their nude shades are not that highly pigmented however if you don’t have pigmented lips or dry lips then you need not have to worry about it as well. The dark shades of this range are gorgeous. Personally, my favorite is its Red Crimson, which is somewhere like a dark shade of brick. It is highly pigmented. The nude shades of these lipsticks last for 3 to 4 hours which is pretty in terms of its price, whereas the darker shades go some extra hours and leave a stain on your lips when fade. Therefore, for the daily purpose use, these lipsticks are a perfect choice. I simply love this lipstick range of Maybelline New York.
Easy to use
Smooth and silky texture
Works well as a setting powder
Poor shade range
Not suitable for all skin types
Cannot replace foundation
Settles in dry patches
I purchased this primer cum matte foundation thinking it to be an easy one instead of buying two separate products. But I think this time I made the wrong choice. Although I am loyal to this brand, this foundation did not meet my expectations at al. This foundation does not suit my oily skin at all. It does not contain any control formula. I sweat a lot whenever I apply this matte foundation on my face. Moreover, a lot of new acne and breakouts can be seen on my face on the next day after its application. Now, if I talk about its coverage then it gives a sheer coverage only. I don’t feel that it gives a medium coverage too. Next, to blend this powder compact use only it's sponge applicator which is been provided with its pack only. Because if you try applying it with the help of a brush, then you will fail. The only good about this powder foundation cum primer is its rose gold packaging which is quite similar to any other Lakme 9 to 5 cosmetic range. Hence, to sum up, I would not recommend this one to any oily skin person, however, dry skin people may like it. Secondly, if you’re not so keen in full and perfect coverage, you can this product.
Availability in revolutionary shades
Easy to apply and remove
They come in a transparent cover lid with a silver-colored retractable bullet. The flaw which I felt with respect to its packaging, is the design of its bullet. It is not that typical shaped, instead, it is a bit of slanting one, which becomes quite difficult to apply swiftly on the lips. Secondly when you twist it down it does not go back smoothly resulting in some wastage in its cover. Now, its formula is very creamy, moisturizing and hydrating. It will keep your lips dry. However, the pigmentation varies from shades to shade. The darker shades have better pigmentation than the lighter ones. Hence, if your lips are pigmented then you may not like its lighter shade. So, there is not much difference with respect to the “HD” name. Although it looks beautiful on your lips but will not last long. The lighter shades stay for maximum 3hours whereas the darker shades go up to 5 to 6 hours. Hence, there is nothing special in these lipsticks to get recommended. Hence, I will not recommend.
Contains Omega 3 and Vitamin E
Enriched with Argan Oil
Rich color pay-off
Hydrating and nourishing
8 hours of hydration
Great shade range
Doesn't last long
These lipsticks come in a wide range of 37 colours. And most of them are amazingly beautiful and my favorites. They are highly pigmented and just a single swipe gives out an exact color pay-off. The packaging is quite luxurious, I must say. It comes in a black colored retractable tube. Its cover looks like leather, but actually, it is not. Its formula is really soft and smooth and keeps your lips hydrated. Despite these pros, there are few cons too. Firstly, it is not transfer-proof; it smudges too. And if we talk about its lasting power then it does not survive heavy meals. Therefore, this makes these lipsticks a bit of ‘nay’ otherwise, its formula is very good. It retails for Rs 750 which I feel a bit costlier, as its lasting power comes into question. So, make your decision, do you want the formula or its lasting power.
Delivers a naturally flushed look
This is a high-end blush but this is something which everyone may love to own. Its shade ‘Nectar’ is very beautiful and lovely. It is some kind of peachy pink. It is when applied looks very natural on your cheeks however, it looks bright in its pack. It gives a softer feel. Its formula is soft and silky and glides very smoothly. It is long-lasting wear and also offers a matte finish. It comes in a square-shaped packaging with the net quantity of 0.13 ounce which is nearly 8 gm. The packaging is sleek and comes with a flip-top lid. This shade is suitable for every Indian skin tone and can be applied during the summers as well. The shade is appropriately pigmented and can be easily blended with the help of the makeup brush. So overall, I would recommend this product to everyone, but yes it is too much costly.
Brand new finish
Plush and vibrant
Creamy and moisturizing
Great color pay-off
These suede metallic lipsticks are one of my favorites. There are few in them which really gives you the ‘rocking’ look. My personal favorite is its Mauve Mist shade. It is a bit of brown undertone shade with metallic effect. It is transfer-proof and it is quite long-lasting too. It does not fade away with just a glass of water. However, a proper main course meal can make you re-apply this lippie. I believe all shades of this suede matte metallic lipstick are nicely pigmented. A single swipe gives a good color pay-off. Its wand applicator is flexible enough to apply the lip color swiftly and nicely. The fragrance of this lip color is too mild. In fact, I have never felt that any scent is coming out of its bottle. The suede metallic mattes are absolutely lightweight and comfortable, and I really enjoy applying them, but yes, somewhere after few ours you may feel dryness on your lips. So, this affordable metallic matte lipstick is totally recommended.
Goodness of Shea Butter
Moisturizer + Primer
Enriched with Vitamins B, C, and E
Oil-free and non-greasy
Fragrances of Geranium and Grape Fruit
Smoothens and softens skin
For oily to normal skin
Works great for dry skin
Revives dull skin
So to start with I would definitely like to mention that this is a skincare primer, not just any other smoothening primers, which conceals the imperfections. Therefore, even after the makeup removal you will feel the softness and glow in your skin. And in fact, regular use of this skincare primer will make your skin blemishes free. It has Shea Butter as one of its major ingredients. The consistency of this primer is pretty thick in comparison to any other regular face primer. But the texture is so smooth and good. The fragrance feels to be like any citrus fruit which is really amazing. The packaging comes in a glass jar with its wide black screw cap. However, I feel a spatula could have been provided with this pack to maintain its hygiene level. Otherwise, this product is really good and worth to try. It can be easily available at any good online shopping portal.
72 shades available
Plumps up lips
Prevents feathering of lip color
Helps lipsticks stay put
Easy to use
I have its dark burgundy wine shade which is named as Copenhagen. I paid Rs 450 for a 1gm lip liner. This lip liner applies very smoothly and it did not feather at all and was fairly long-lasting. This shade is very beautiful and the pigmentation is up to fairly good. It is lightweight and its formula is also amazing. This lip liner can also be used as a lipstick however, one has to apply two to three times to get a perfect look. Although for me, it is quite expensive, this lip liner justifies its claims and is fully effective in meeting my expectation level. Hence, I would definitely recommend this lip liner to all but at the same time do buy from their authorized store to prevent duplicity which is quite common with online shopping portals. So girls, go for it and flaunt your lips! You all will love it.
Treats existing acne
Prevents acne from recurring
Oil-free and oil control
Hydrating and soothing
Cleaner and clearer skin
For all skin types
This anti-blemish solution comes in a bottle of 30 ml which retails for Rs 2700. It is a gel-based liquid and suitable for all skin types. The consistency is somewhere around runny which gets easily absorbed by the skin. The fragrance is like any chemical solution but that too fades away in a few minutes. You may feel some sort of irritation on the areas where the acnes are open but that is only for a few minutes. This anti-blemish solution is effective in giving the desired results in just 3-4 days of daily use. You will see some positive and notable changes in your skin without getting any side effects. And in addition to all of the above, this solution can be used until 24 months after opening the bottle. So, you may further use it as well if you feel the purpose. The bottle is sturdy and travel-friendly. The price is quite high, in my point of view, however, the results which it gives after just 3-4 days use is really commendable.
Lathers and rinses well
Cleanses scalp and hair
If in one sentence, I review this shampoo then I would say that – “this is a holy grail for the treatment of dandruff.” This is a really good shampoo from this brand. As it is known to everyone that the majority of shampoos offered by this brand are highly-priced, so this shampoo too. For a 400ml of a bottle, you have to pay INR 945. However, this shampoo lasts for only 1 month only, if it is been used on alternative day usage. Still, keeping its price tag aside, this shampoo is worth using. It helps to get rid of dandruff effectively. One can use this shampoo on every alternate day for the dandruff treatment. This shampoo is effective in flake-clearing and scalp smoothening. It is very mild and you will feel refreshed on your hair after its use. It is gel-based shampoo whose consistency is neither too thick nor too runny. As it has ginger extracts, therefore, the fragrance is like of any herbal shampoo, but that too mild.
Sleek and compact packaging
Easy to apply
Light to medium coverage
This foundation comes in a creamy texture, which turns out to give you a smooth finish like any other powder foundation. Although it is good and can be applied on a daily basis, you have to be very correct while choosing the shade for you. As most of its shades look something different on the pack and when applied, they turn out to be a shade lighter. It is good for the oily skin as well. It gives light coverage, but it is not that buildable to give full coverage. The packaging is really awesome and luxurious. It comes in a compact box along with a sponge applicator and an in-built mirror. Lastly, I would say that this is a good creamy foundation and having said that, it has to be applied in a pat way, instead of wiping with the sponge applicator, otherwise, it will become patchy and dry.
Can also work well as lip liner
This 15cm eyeliner brush retails at INR 1950, which is a discounted price and that too at Nykaa. Although, this eyeliner is good for making almost every kind of eye look, still, I feel spending this much amount for just an eyeliner brush is not so satisfactory. Due to its tip, initially, I find it difficult in creating fine eyeliner, and honestly speaking, I still have not mastered yet to work with this extreme tip. It makes the eyeliner very prominent, therefore, I don’t like working with this eyeliner brush. But sometimes I use this brush for the lip lining purpose, and it does pretty well. So overall, my experience with this brush as an eyeliner brush is not so good, but yes, the bristles are soft and gentle. They are firm too. And yes, its price could have been a bit less, so that it could have been a budget-friendly brush. 😊
Less quantity offered
Price is high in comparison to the quantity
This is a pen-like liquid eyeliner. It has a very fine tip which is very nice and easy to apply. It is waterproof and does not smudge at all. It is available only in the darkest black shade which It lasts long the whole day. With this liquid eyeliner, the making of ‘winged-shape’ liner becomes easy, as it is so easy to hold and glide. I believe this liquid eyeliner is absolutely the best option for the beginners because as I mentioned it does not take many efforts to draw a beautiful liner shape. Overall, my experience with this eyeliner was definitely the best and I would surely recommend this product to all. Yes, to mention, I would say that the quantity offered in this pen-like liquid eyeliner is too less. It is just a 1ml and the price is too high in comparison to its price tag. Otherwise, it is all good.
Easy to apply
Does not smudge
Low range of shades available
This is a creamy eyeshadow in a pencil avatar. The packaging is like a thick jumbo crayon with a silver cap. The body is plastic with the color corresponding to its shade. It is quite easy to hold and apply directly to an eyelid. This eyeshadow stick comes in a different shade. Mine is a dark brown bronze-like shade. However, those who love smoky eye look, then they can also get black neutral shade too. One can see that the shade has a shimmery effect but when it is applied it does not look too glittery. According to me, it has a perfect amount of shimmer effect. The texture is not completely soft and smooth, but not that rough too. When I blend it using my eyeshadow brush, it feels like blending any eyeshadow powder only. However, it is creamy when applied. The blending part is easy but does take some extra time. Due to its creamy consistency, there is no question on its fallacy. It is not highly pigmented; as its name implies, it is ‘tinted’. It is long-lasting too.
Provides smooth and even finish
Blends products easily
The MAC shader brush 242 is really good for applying eyeshadow (both creamy and powder), eyeshadow primer, and concealer. It is of lightweight – only 1.2g. I bought it from Amazon.com during some lightning deal, hence got it in a good discount. It helps to give a good crease to the eyeshadows and makes the application very neat and clear. If being held properly, it eases out the purpose of use. Although it is a bit of costly, still it is worth every penny. But at the same time, many other dupes are available too in the market with the same purpose of use. The quality is good and sturdy. You won’t see any fall out of bristles. It is firm and feels soft when applied. Even after the wash, the bristles are soft and good. So, overall, it is good and recommended. Moreover, it does not take much amount of product as well to waste.
Light to medium coverage
May cause acne
Very Light Coverage
I usually do not use powder foundation as I feel that they are not buildable, but in order to give a try, I bought Milani Even touch powder foundation from Nykaa at INR 1063. I have had high hopes because I read some lot of positive reviews online, but unfortunately, it did not meet my expectation. This powder foundation does not provide even light coverage. I was expecting it to be of a medium coverage provider, but no it did not. For me, it only acts as setting powder which I can use it over any liquid foundation to give perfect coverage. Apart from that, it is not of any use. The packaging looks very beautiful and luxurious with an inbuilt mirror and a sponge applicator. So, overall, my experience with Milani Even touch powder foundation was not so happy and convincing. Hence, I am not going to repurchase it for sure, neither I am going to recommend this to anyone.
Brightens under eye dark circles
Continuous dipping needed to apply on larger area
Fades off quickly
My sister has tried this concealer sometimes back, as she had dark circles, hollows and tired lines underneath her eye area. She purchased this product in somewhere around INR 3000 and I remember the product quantity was too less. Thinking it to be highly pigmented concealer, she had a high hope. But she was totally disappointed with this concealer after use. Firstly, it creases a lot just after the few hours of application. In addition, the consistency is pretty thick despite smooth texture. Though the brand claims that this concealer is long-lasting, this concealer starts fading off in just 4 hours. This product takes time to get totally blended. The beauty sponge blender is helpful in getting the desired results. Its dip applicator is also not that effective in bringing sufficient product out. It takes a very minimal quantity and hence each and every time you have to dip repeatedly to apply. So, overall, it was the total waste of money and my sister was totally unhappy with this purchase.
Contains vitamin E
Reduces feathering of lipstick
Average moisturizing effect
I got this product from one of my friends who lives in the States. I was actually excited to use this lip primer because almost every MAC product is good enough to try. But this product was something which I did not like very much. In fact, I will not say that this is a kind of ‘must-have’ product in a lady’s vanity. Let me start with its Pros first. The fragrance of this lip primer is like any chocolate, so I loved it. Secondly, when you apply it on your lips, it glides on very smoothly and easily without giving many efforts. Thirdly, it does not any color, although, it looks white in its tube when you apply, it becomes transparent. Lastly, it is a travel-friendly product, It is sleek and compact. Now if I talk about its cons then I would definitely mention that whenever I apply this lip primer, it feels like a lip balm and my lipstick does not stay much longer. Moreover, it rips out the moisture and makes my lips very chapped. Therefore, I don’t think that this product is any good of use.
Available in different colors
Feels like a balm
Multiple swipes are needed to apply some shades
Possibility of feathering
Some shades have shimmering effects
The texture of these lipsticks is really very comfortable and smooth and it feels like any Lip balm. These lipsticks are lightweight too. They have a non-patchy formula and they are highly pigmented. Very easy to apply and delivers a good pay-off. My favorite shade- Corset is so beautiful pink color with a brown undertone. I just love this nude shade lipstick. These lipsticks are not of matte range, instead, they are very super creamy and hydrating. Yes, it smells great and the price is also very much economical. It is long-lasting and leaves a stain behind when it is totally fade off. It is not transfer-proof, you may see the marks of your lips on your coffee or teacups, still, I will recommend this product. As I find this lipstick to be effective and best in this range. I will surely buy them again. 😊 I guess some another beautiful shade of it.
Erases fine lines
Suitable for dry skin
Suitable for daily use
Like any other under eye repair cream claim, this eye cream also claims to be effective in reducing the wrinkles and puffiness under your eye area, provides hydration and makes your skin firm. This eye cream retails for INR 2360 for 15ml of a white-colored plastic tube. The packaging is quite travel-friendly and handy. The consistency of the product seems to be like any serum. The overall experience of using this cream was been nice. I had some dark circles and puffiness under my eye due to the stress and workload. But after using this cream for good six months, I can say that now I don’t have any dark circles nor any sort of puffiness. This cream does not lead to any irritation or skin inflammation. However, this cream does create some amount of sweat but if you have dry skin, then you will love this cream, for sure.
Suitable for all skin types
Superb base for concealer or foundation
Works well with concealer
Packed in breakable glass jar
The extra eye repair cream is way too expensive to buy and try. Still, it is effective in giving the desired results. It helps to soothe out the puffiness under the eye area. It also minimizes wrinkles and dark circles. The packaging looks very exclusive and luxurious. It comes in a 15ml of a glass jar with a black screw cap. The consistency of the cream is a bit of thick but the texture is smooth. You need a very minimal quantity of the cream and gently massage under your eye area. Leave it overnight and the next morning you will see the freshness and smooth skin under your eye area. Bobbi Brown is a brand which is often termed as ‘high end’, however, its majority of products are good and effective enough in delivering you the desired result. The eye repair cream retails in £46, which is actually too heavy for a pocket. But if you’re really looking for such kind of product for your eyes, then this is the best.
The MAC products are usually good 9to buy, however, this mascara was absolutely a waste one, for me. Maybe, for others, it can be the best, but for me, it did not work at all. No doubt, its applicator has some super tiny wands, which seems to be effective in the application process. But once you apply, you may see that it flakes a lot. In addition to the flaking, it smudges a lot as well. According to me, it does not volumizes my eyelashes. I was really disappointed a lot. For me, it is a super flop product from the brand MAC. The packaging is all good but spending 18$ for this product to buy from Amazon was a big bad decision of mine. Lastly, I would not recommend this mascara to anyone who is looking forward to buying this upward lash mascara from the brand MAC. ☹
Sleek and mirrored compact
Ideal for strobing
Perfect look in a single stroke
Not very shiny
These highlighters are the Best ones, I believe. Its all three shades are beautiful and give out a very natural glow without being so much sparkling. I have its shade – Sunset glow and trust me, it is really beautiful and amazing. The shade is very much unique and different. It does not give you any artificial highlights. A just single swipe brings out the natural glow from your skin. The shades are highly pigmented. The packaging is better than its shimmer brick collection. Its cover is a bit of bulky which actually protects the product from inside. It retails for $46. Thankfully, I got it as a gift from one of my cousins. So, overall, if you’re ready to pay its high price then this highlighting powder is the best one to choose from. I would definitely recommend this product, keeping its high price aside. It has a superfine texture, which I love the most.
Available in attractive shades
Versatile makeup product
Shimmer brick cracks easily
Bobbi Brown Shimmer brick compact is a high-end product. I still remember when I purchased this shimmer brick, I did not let anyone in my family know about it, only because of its too high price. Later on, I regretted as I saw Sivana shimmer is almost 10 times cheaper in its cost and delivers the same result. Anyways, this shimmer brick took me almost Rs4000! It comes in a sleek and glossy plastic packaging with a mirror and a brush applicator. It has a net quantity of the only 10.3g. The shades are really beautiful and as the name suggests they are shimmery in their look. The best feature of this shimmer brick is multipurpose use. This shimmer brick can be used for highlighting purpose, as a bronzer, blusher and as an eyeshadow as well. The pigmented is just up to the mark. Overall, if I keep its price tag aside, I am happy with this shimmer brick. The only con with this shimmer brick is it's being fragile. It is too fragile if you are carrying it in our bag, therefore, be cautious while traveling.
Suitable for all skin types
Restores youthful appearance of skin
Works well on dry skin
Smooths out laugh lines
As the name implies, this cream is used for repairing the skin issues. It helps to restore, firm and uplift the skin texture. It is a very nice cream. It smells nice and has a nice feel and touch to it. It is quite a rich cream, but once you apply it your face, it gets soaked very nicely and does not feel greasy or oily. This cream can be used twice a day and it does not contain a sunscreen. This cream is a good moisturizer and felt nice on my skin. It provided good hydration and felt comfortable on my skin. The firming and toning benefits though were quite minimal, I would say this is a great moisturizer. I probably will not purchase this cream again as it is expensive and I don't think that I "need" it yet. However, I would use this when I have more mature skin.
Not moisture proof
This mascara retails for 19$ and not easily available in India. Somehow, I managed to get it delivered to my place. I was quite excited to try this mascara after reading some good and positive reviews online. But unfortunately, I am quite disappointed with this mascara. The brand claims that it volumizes your eyelashes and gives a beautiful curl to your eyelashes. Hence, I applied this mascara on my eyelashes after curling them using my eyelash curler. This mascara did not hold the curls of my eyelashes and it makes them stiff too after some time. This is not a very long-lasting too. Moreover, it smudges like crazy. If you rub your eyes unknowingly, then you will look like a panda afterward. So, in short, personally, I would not recommend this mascara to any of my friends or family. Instead, one can try any other good mascara which is widely and easily available in India.
Suitable for daily use
Easy to blend
Imparts a natural look
Silky smooth texture
No side effects
Crumbles before shelf life
This powder blush from the brand Revlon comes in a net quantity of 5g and its price is quite pocket-friendly too. You may feel that the texture is not that powdery like any other powder blush, but it is smooth and soft, and it not too thick as well. It is well pigmented and the minimal quantity of this powder blush is sufficient enough to give you the desired look. Always apply with a light hand and you are good to go. I did not observe any fading, it is long-lasting which go for a good 8 hours. Hence according to me, it is good to show its impressive performance. For beginners too, this powder blush is easy to apply. The only con with this blush is the brush applicator which comes along with this product. It is not at all effective, and too small to apply blush on your cheeks. Overall, it is highly recommended. Girls, just go for it.
Suitable for all skin types
This under eye cream retails for Rs 225 for 15g. glass jar packaging, which is quite sturdy enough and good to carry while traveling. It goes well for nearly 6-7 months if being used on a regular basis. The USP of this product is its fragrance and its effectiveness. The fragrance is so beautiful and relaxing. The effectiveness is also good. You can see good notable changes in just 2 days of application. It works for all eye problems like puffiness, itching, wrinkles, dark circles. According to me, it is one of the best under eye cream. Remember to use it at night before going to bed, as this cream will get sufficient time to work effectively. It is not irritable and gets easily absorbed by the skin. So, lastly, I would say that this is a product which is a total of worth to try. And I am sure that you won’t regret it.
Gives flawless makeup results
Perfect base for makeup
Availability in a single shade
It retails for INR 900 for just a 15ml of the tiny glass jar. Hence, do lookout for some good discount before buying this on MRP. However, the packaging is quite cute and comes in a transparent glass jar with a black colored plastic cap. Although I thought there should be some applicator along with, as I have to dip my index finger always to take the product out. The texture of this base magique is extremely thick. In fact, if you turn the bottle upside down, still, the product will not spill. Despite this thick texture, this primer blends very easily on the skin without giving any cakey look or an artificial wax look. It absorbs very well without any efforts. I believe it is suitable for every skin type because it is of the semi-matte base, which smoothens your skin without drying your skin completely. Overall, my experience was good and I am happy with this primer. 😊
Smooth and even application
Excellent color payoff
This eyeshadow palette is good for your daily use especially if you are an office goer. This palette has majorly 6 warm shades including 2 transition shades. These shades are not highly pigmented, but yes they are easy to blend. This eyeshadow palette is pocket-friendly too. This palette is easy to carry in your handbag, and its application gives a very smooth and even look. A lightweight and glitter-free which is best suited for your casual purpose. Although the shades are not in variety but still very subtle. If anyone loves smoky eye makeup look then this is gonna be the best choice for her. The color pay-off is excellent and you won't see any fallout or smudginess. It has a matte finish not that shiny and glossy look. So overall, this is a must-have eyeshadow palette for those who want to have something on their daily occasion. This is obviously not suitable for any wedding or festive season look.
Doesn’t cause irritation and allergy
Provides smooth and natural-looking coverage
Light on skin
The best part of this foundation is its being oil-free. Although it adds moisture and subtracts the oiliness, still, it is sweat-proof and non-acnegenic. Its packaging is quite sturdy which comes with a thick glass bottle and steel cap. For me. It becomes inconvenient to use as this foundation does not come along with any pump dispenser. And being the consistency a bit of runny, I have to use my fingers to take the product out. There are wide varieties of shades available to choose the best shade according to the skin tone. This foundation is 100% fragrance-free. The texture is lightweight and smooth. Moreover, it blends easily on the skin and does not leave any white cast. I majorly use my fingers to blend it and it works well. I like this foundation very much because it is suitable for normal to oily skin, and my being oily skin I stay sweat-free. But yes, people with dry skin may not love this foundation very much. The coverage is sheer to medium, but one can build up to give a more perfect look.
Medium buildable coverage
Doesn’t get chalky/ashy
This concealer provides medium buildable coverage and it gives out the satin finish. Its packaging is just so like any matte lipstick with a twist-up style. I liked it very much because it provides ease to an application. I feel so convenient to use it with my fingers. Moreover, its pack is so travel-friendly. The texture is a bit of thick yet creamy. And the best part of this concealer is its creamy texture which does not look cakey at all. But having oily skin this concealer makes me sweat more. Hence, I want to apply loose powder to stay sweat-free. On my oily skin, it stays for pretty good 4-5 hours when applied with loose powder. My overall experience was good as it does not make any crease on your face, but the only con I feel about this concealer is its high price. Otherwise, I would have thought to make a repurchase of this concealer.
Contours the area around the eyes
Safe for contact lens users
Doesn’t cause irritation and allergy
Suitable for all skin types
Need to be used consistently
This product from the brand Clinique is quite effective in treating all major aging signs which are often visible at the under-eye area. It is oil-free and also free from other harmful chemicals like paraben, sulfates, etc. It has fragrance as well, which is the most appealing feature of this product. It helps to give your eyes a younger look, and also brightens and contours them. To get more effective results, one has to use twice in a day. It suits well to the oily skin also. This product comes in a bottle pack of 14ml. It has spray pump dispenser which is covered with a transparent lid. Quite effective, but way too expensive. I bought it from shopper’s stop a year back and then it was for Rs 4100. But yes, I spent this huge amount because then I was desperately looking for such kind of product. So, this product may be recommended if anyone is looking for advanced treatment for eye area concerns.
Enriched with neem and tea tree oil
Not good for oily skin
I have oily skin which is always prone to acne and breakouts. I purchased this face wash during the summers thinking it to be good for skin as it has ‘real neem’ and ‘tea tree extracts’ as one of the main ingredients. Moreover, it was pocket-friendly too. Its MRP is INR 55 for 50g. But I didn’t find it to be effective as I felt more sweat after using it. In fact, I did not feel the freshness after its use. In addition, it was not at all helpful in removing makeup as well. However, its gel-based formula lathers decently and the consistency is a bit of runny. So, lastly, I would conclude that this face wash is good for normal to dry skin, but the people with oily skin may not find it suitable or good. Hence, I would rate it 2 out of 5 stars.
Huge variety of colors
Brilliant color payoff
Lakme nail polishes are one of my favorites. They have always been my preferred choices over any other nail paints. They are economical and good. According to me, they are indeed a long-lasting one, and chip resistant. The best feature they are quick drying. I have tried its almost every shade, but my favorite is shade number 27 which is Turquoise blue. It looks really beautiful on well-trimmed and shaped nails. Apart from this shade, one can also try its shade number 03, which is a sort of pastel blue. The MRP of INR 150 is full justifiable for its 9ml of nail paint. Every shade is trendy, vibrant and beautiful. Moreover, you will not see yellowness on your nail after removing this nail paint as well, which is quite common in every nail paint. Overall, I will definitely recommend Lakme True wear color crush nail paints to everyone who wants value with an economical price.
Great shade range
Hard to blend
Concealer and powder don’t go well together
No doubt this creamy concealer kit is way too expensive, but it justifies its name. It does not crease at all and does not let you feel like cakey or uncomfortable. It gives out a very natural finish. The packaging is cute and compact, and it looks like a box of contact lens. It comes along with a mirror. It gives a full under eye coverage, and its powder fixes the leftover (if any). However, this creamy concealer kit is best suited for dry skin because it hydrates the undereye area. The texture is bit thick, which makes sometimes difficult to use with a concealer brush. Regarding its packaging, I feel that it is too compact and with more or less no space in between the concealer and the powder, due to which concealer gets the layer of powder on it. Overall, it is really a nice product to use, however, it is too much expensive, which makes it a luxurious product.
Great shade range
Retractable liner pen
Smudges and fades
I love using Eyeliners and Kajal. Hence, I keep on looking for anything new to try. So, I found this retractable eyeliner from the brand NYX at one of the high shopping malls in Mumbai. I purchased it MPE18 Gypsy Blue shade, as this was the one which looked appealing to me. So, f I talk about its pigmentation, then it is great. It is creamy and easy to apply on the lower waterline. But the quantity provided is too little, just 0.34g ☹ It got ended up in just a month! Yes, I used to apply it on a daily basis, but that too in a very minimal quantity (not that dark or bold style). Secondly, it smudges a lot. And if you sweat a lot, then it will make you look like a ‘Panda’. Therefore, I don’t think that this product justifies its price tag.
Great shade range
Fall out issues
My friend bought this NYX professional Makeup go-to palette from the US and it cost her around $10. Hence, it was not too expensive there. She uses this palette often, in fact on a daily basis as an office wear makeup. This palette consists of six vibrant shades of eyeshadows and an illuminator, blusher, and bronzer. The packaging is also very neat and easy to use. Hence, according to me, this palette is totally a travel-friendly one. No need to carry separate palettes of highlighter, blusher, and eyeshadows. It is all-in-one. 😊 The formula is slightly creamy, but very well pigmented. It is easy to blend and apply. But yes, my friend says that there are some shades which falls out too much. But over the primer, they work better. So, overall a nice palette to use, especially for the people like me, who loves makeup but does not want to carry many palettes in her bag.
Medium buildable coverage
All skin types
Works well on the foundation
No value for money
This touch-up stick is best for covering blemishes, redness, or any other imperfection. This is creamy in texture and gives full coverage. I generally use it on cheeks, foreheads, and nose. But do not use this on the under-eye area. I have oily skin and suits my skin as well. I had used it even during the summers, and I was all okay even after its application. This face touchup stick is breathable, applies quickly giving an even finish. Use it over the foundation. One can easily glide this stick directly onto the blemishes, or spots. It is easy to blend and does not look cakey. For better results, one can also use loose powder. Its packaging is simple and looks like a slim lipstick case. It has a twist-up stick. It gives some kind of semi-matte look. The cons which I felt with this touch-up stick are being too expensive and not so widely available in India.

Satiny and shimmery shades
Six shades in one palette
Comes with a sponge applicator
It is relatively small and compact sized eyeshadow palette. This palette has six shades and like any other Lakme eyeshadow palette, this too has got double-sided sponge applicator. This applicator is not very effective though, as the sponge comes out just after 3-4 uses. This palette comes along with an in-built mirror, which is according to me is really good. In addition, the overall product weight is light. All these features make this palette travel-friendly. Every shade is well pigmented and gives a good color pay-off. Like every other Lakme eyeshadow, the texture of this palette too is soft and smooth and there is less fallout. The blending is easy with these shades. If you are using primer, there will not any complain of creasy or fading. The staying power is pretty good. It stays for approximately 4-5 hours. The only thing which I feel as its con is its price tag, which is a bit higher.
Easy to apply
Sets brows perfectly
I have pretty thin and light eyebrows. Hence, whenever it comes to makeup, I always skip doing anything for my eyebrows. But my friend, who is a freelance makeup artist suggested me to use MAC Pro long wear waterproof brow set to give a better look and finish to my makeup. I selected its ‘bold Brunette’ shade to match and compliment my eyebrow color. No doubt, it helped me to groom and define my brows into shape, it cost me like a bomb. It cost me around $17 for just 5g as I ordered through Amazon.com. It is non-greasy and waterproof. It sets the hair softly and provides sheen to it. The applicator is quite effective and the brush is simply amazing. The consistency can be termed as ‘perfect because it is neither too thick not too runny. The application is quite simple – one just has to brush lightly on the direction of the eyebrows and leave it for a few seconds. And it’s done.
Wide range of shades
Easy to remove
I guess these are the most pocket-friendly nail polishes available in the market and the good thing they are absolutely the best choice for everyday use. They come in Rs 50 which is for the bottle of 5 ml. The packaging is very cute and it is in the round bottle with a black-colored lid. The bottles are sturdy and travel-friendly. The shades of this nail polish have a glossy look and when applied on nails it dries up pretty quick. The consistency is perfect. Depending upon the shade, the coating is needed. In general, two coats are good to give a perfect look to the nails. There are huge varieties of shades available to choose and they are suitable for every skin tone. They stay on the nails for approximately 4 days, depending upon the nature of your work. If you are an office going girl who spends less time in the kitchen, then it may even go longer. Overall, I really love applying Elle 18 Nail Pops nail polish.
The pigment is nothing but a loose powder which is highly concentrated and it looks like a sparkle powder. It does not crease and gives a subtle look to your makeup. This MAC pigment comes in very beautiful yet sturdy packaging. A small transparent bottle with a black cap is good to be taken along in travel as its cap is strong enough to prevent accidental spilling. The MAC pigment looks like finely milled glitter but in actual it is coarse; however, the texture is really smooth. It is lightweight and can be applied with the help of any medium which is generally available in good cosmetic stores. On the other hand, if this pigment is being applied directly on the eyelid it gives out a sparkle look to eye makeup. So, the choice is up to you. It has good longevity and does not irritate your eyes. But yes, fallouts appear while applying to direct to the eyes. This is easily blendable and suitable for every skin tone. A tiny amount is good enough to give out a sparkling look.
I heard a lot about the goodness of the tea tree oil but never got the chance to pick any product which has this major ingredient. But someone suggested me to apply this body shop tea tree oil on my acne prone facial skin. Although this was so expensive for me, but for the sake of my facial skin, I thought to give it a try. For a mini bottle, I had to pat 445 INR! Hence, I was expecting a lot from this tea tree oil. But my all expectations along with the money I had spent gone wasted. This product is nothing just claptrap. It does nothing on the skin rather it irritates on some part of the facial area. Its irritation feels like a stinging of a lemon on a fresh wound. Although, if you apply this product on your emerging pimple, then it will not let that pimple grow it does not remove it completely, rather. When pimple goes off, it will leave a black scar. Moreover, this product from the body shop also does not do any kind of good thing for the skin. It is not effective on the blackheads as well, neither it controls extra oil for the skin. In short, I am totally disappointed and will never buy this product again and will never recommend it too.
This eyeliner from Blue Heaven comes in a quantity of the only 1ml and for this minimal quantity, you have to pay Rs 205/-. I felt it is too expensive. Its packaging looks like a sketch pen and even its tip applicator looks like a sketch pen nib. Although, yes, as the brand claims, it is smudge-proof and a perfect choice for long time wear. It glides very easily and smoothly. But it is not waterproof, however, you may find the term ‘waterproof’ in its outer packaging. So, overall, it is a nice eyeliner in the body of a sketch pen, but according to me, it is way too expensive in comparison to the quantity provided.
Although I haven’t tried yet Mac Frost lipsticks, my has its shade A79 Fresh Moroccan. It is a beautiful cinnamon shade with a little bit of red undertone. My friend purchased it through an online lightning deal for 990 INR but now it costs nearly around 1200INR. This shade has a lot of shimmers in it. However, I feel this Frost lipstick range is best suited during any festive or special occasion. This particular shade is a little bit of warm in looks hence it will suit to almost every Indian skin tone. The pigmentation is pretty good, but it is not transfer-proof. Moreover, it can not survive heavy meals, but if you haven’t anything, it can stay for almost 6 hours. It does not dry out your lips, rather it gives a very comfortable feel and a smooth texture.
My mother-in-law uses this cream very fondly. She knows that this cream does nothing to her skin, still, she uses this cream only because it is quite affordable. This cream is available at Rs 79 wherein you will get 18g of its tube. According to the claims of the brand, this cream provides an instant fair look, covers all dark spots and blemishes, evens your skin tone along with SPF 15 protection and it is matte and oil-free. However, if I talk about her experience, due to the availability of only single shade, this cream makes my MIL’s skin look yellowish which looks very odd. Secondly, this cream is not easy to blend, it becomes very patchy and gives out an unnatural look. It feels like rubbing a rubber on the skin. Moreover, the fragrance is too high to tolerate. For some, it may lead to a headache.
Okay, now let me stay honest with you. Why do we apply make-up on a face? I believe to hide all major and minor flaws of your skin which includes, dark circles, blemishes, acne, acne spots, etc. And for that purpose, we take usually the help of compact or foundation. So, this wet & dry compact is for the same purpose. But this provides a PERFECT makeup only to a Flawless skin. Yes, you read it rightly. If you have a naturally radiant and flawless skin then you should use this compact, to look more than perfect. For those with minor or major flaws, you should search for another worthy product. Because this compact is no way going to help you. It provides you with sheer coverage, and if you over apply this compact, then this will make your face ghostly white in flash photography. Secondly, it does not stay even for 4 hours on the skin. It disappears soon on its own. In addition, this compact is expensive to purchase. It costs near around Rs 600 (I am unsure about its current price) for just 9g of quantity. Hence, buy at your own risk.
Nivea nourishing body milk is that body lotion which is suitable for dry skin. It provides moisturization for good long hours. The price is also quite affordable which is Rs 198 for 250ml of the bottle. The bottle of this lotion is sturdy and pretty good for traveling purpose. Like any other body lotion, the texture of this body milk is also creamy and smooth. It is not at all runny. It gives a cooling sensation when applied just after the bath. The fragrance is also pleasant, just like any other Nivea product. On dry skin, it works best, but on the other hand, oily skin tends to become oilier due to is creamy texture. Dry skin may feel soft and smooth and prevents flakiness, which happens especially during winters. Its light texture gets easily absorbed by a dry skin which keeps it moisturized for good hours, but not for 24 hrs, one must reapply this body lotion as and when it is needed.
This is quite an expensive perfume. It comes in a beautiful packaging which can be termed as ‘unique’. Its packaging looks like a green-colored purse with a heavy chain as a handle and tassels on it. Frankly speaking, its packaging is bulky and not travel-friendly. Its price is Rs 9950 for a 100ml of the bottle. Its fragrance is also beautiful. It has a warm floral type of scent. Its notes resemble plum, rose, jasmine, and amber. This perfume is suitable to wear at night because some of its notes are a bit dark. Initially, you will feel that it is a light note perfume, but as the day will pass its scent becomes deeper and darker. It stays for good 7-8 hours on your body, which is quite good for me. The fragrance can be worn all the year round, however, not as an everyday perfume.
The packaging of this liquid illuminator comes in a bronze colored tube. The consistency of this product is pretty thick but it bends easily on your face and feels lightweight also. It does not make you look cakey or patchy. It is fragrance-free but it is made up of varieties of chemicals. It has got pretty good staying power, I guess approximately 6-7 hours. As its name implies, it actually illuminates your skin very beautifully which seems to be like a natural shine. It also acts as a good primer and a small quantity is sufficient for the purpose. I have seen many highlighters are not good in front of flash photography, but this highlighter is good for the same and does not make your pictures white. So, overall I would suggest everyone for this product and it is versatile in its use, indeed.
Apart from being a lipstick lover, I am a big lover of blushes too. I love using those blushes which are neutral in shade and shimmery in texture. According to me, it gives a natural look without giving an artificial makeup look. So, one day I came across to this powder blush from the brand MAC. I found its Melba shade suitable according to my skin tone because it was absolutely perfect for the daily use purpose. It looks like a peachy pink type of shade which gives a natural look to my cheeks. Although I prefer shimmer-based blushes, for an everyday purpose this matte finished blush was a perfect choice. It is easy to apply and have a very smooth texture like any other powder blush. However, it is a costly product which is available for 1450 INR for just a 6g of the pan. But yes, for a relief its refill pan is also available which comes at 1250 INR. So, if I make my mind to re-purchase this powder blush then definitely, I am going to buy this refill pan instead of a whole new pack. In fact, its packaging is also nothing like ‘wow’. A simple black round pot with a transparent lid to ease out the selection of shade. This powder blush is pigmented and blends out very easily. And it does not lead to breakouts even which is one of the major concerns for oily skin people. To conclude, I would say that this is a perfect blush for everyday use. It looks natural on the face.
As its name implies, this shampoo is best suited for dry and damaged hair which needs some extra nourishment and care. It also prevents hair breakage and manages frizzy hair. According to the brand, this shampoo provides moisture balance to the dull and lifeless hair and it is a professional hair treatment. It is used just like any other hair shampoo. This is purely chemical based and in India it is available in 220INR for 200ml of a bottle. The packaging comes in a very sleek plastic bottle with a flip cap. It has a nice fragrance and its consistency is not too thick nor too runny. It is in between them. The minimal quantity of this shampoo is sufficient to create a lather on the scalp. It makes the dry hair soft and shinier. On the other hand, it is not that great for oily scalp, as it can make them oilier.
I love using the perfume. Be it a deodorant, roll-on, EDT or EDP, I love trying them all if they are really good. I believe a good perfume or body spray can make your day beautiful and lighter. Therefore, I always carry a mini bottle of body spray or perfume to make myself good. So, one day I came across this 5th Avenue Elizabeth Arden Perfume at one of the online stores. The price was fine with me hence I ordered it quickly after reading its positive reviews. This EDP costed me around Rs1200 for its 30 ml of a bottle. Hence, this is my review after using this EDP for nearly 15 days. I find that this Eau De Parfum stays for approximately 3-4 hours and then it fades away. Although the fragrance notes are a bit loud in terms of its daily usage, therefore this perfume is good to be used in the evening/night. It has fragrance notes like Lilac, rose and amber. Although this perfume is good, still, not the best like Dior. I would rate this EDP 3.5 stars out of 5 because I feel that this is not for everyday use.
This eye cream is especially meant for normal to dry skin. This under eye cream has beautiful and gorgeous packaging. Packed in an orange tube, it looks very cute yet different. You will find a ball-shaped pop-up opener which makes the product easy to use. The tube is lightweight and good to carry along in a handbag. It is a fragrance-free eye cream which is white in color. The texture is smooth and easy absorbs under the eye. It hydrates the under eye area. For dry skin, this cream is good to use. It does not affect the makeup. One can easily apply concealer or foundation on top of this eye cream. Its formula does not let your eyes feel any sort if irritation of itching. This under eye cream transforms the dull under eye area into a soft and plumpy part, but if you are expecting this to be a treatment for the dark circles, then you may feel disappointed. Hence, not the best product, but one can give a try. Please note: this is expensive as well.
Lifebuoy hand sanitizer is marketed by Hindustan Unilever Limited, which does not require any introduction. I use this hand sanitizer as and when it is needed, so I keep this hand sanitizer with me especially when I am out of my house. Although, I am not too sure about its claim that it kills 99.9% of germs, still after applying this product on my hands, I feel fresh and hygiene. Yes, this product contains alcohol and perfumed gel which is not considered as a healthy ingredient. Hence, I would suggest to use your own discretion while buying and using sanitizers for your hand. Otherwise, the product is widely available in every nearby drug store and it comes in a pocket-friendly budget too.
This scrub is too expensive and it does not suit my oily skin. It costs around 1850 INR for just a 100 ml tube! This product claims that it is capable of deep cleansing and leaves your skin refreshed. But to be honest this is nothing new. Almost every scrub makes skin soft and smooth for the time being. And so this scrub too. It does not clear blackheads at all which are more annoying than whiteheads. And if you have oily skin, then instead of feeling refreshed, it will make your skin oilier. This is the worst part of this cream. According to me, this product is a clear waste of money. One can have a better option rather than having this expensive and waste exfoliating scrub.
The fragrance of this body lotion is quite similar to the vaseline’s cocoa butter body lotion. The packaging is standard with any other Himalaya product. It is quite affordable too. It comes with a price tag of Rs 250 for 400ml of the bottle, however, one can buy its small packs as well and the price changes according to the size of the bottle. The texture is a bit runny rather than being thick like a cream and it is best suited for dry or super dry skin.it makes dry skin soft and smooth and gives a good moisturization. It is not at all recommended for oily or normal skin. If it is applied on oily skin, one may get mad wiping off its body sweat. It happens just because of its formula\ and ingredients. The ingredient lists indicate that it is not 100% ayurvedic or organic. It has some chemicals too.
This hair brush which is specially designed for hair straightening purpose is so good. It serves the purpose of straightening of hair without any damage. In general, the normal hair straighteners take time around 30 minutes to straighten the curly and wavy hairs, but this har brush can do the work in just 5-7 minutes! It all happens because it covers a larger area in one go. Moreover, according to the brand you need not have to apply any heat protectant on your hair because heat is distributed evenly along the shaft of the hair, reducing the risk of damage to the hair cuticles. Overall, it works really well, but the only drawback is its high price. In India, it is available in 12,999 INR, which is too expensive to buy a hair straightening brush.
This lip balm is always my first choice while buying or even while referring to someone. As its name implies, this lip balm is really good in taking care of your lips. During winters, we usually experience flaky and chapped lips, but after its usage lips stay moisturized and smooth for a longer duration. My experience has always been good with Nivea lip balm. In fact, it stays for good long hours on my lips. I do not have to re-apply it after having some meals. The quantity is well sufficient and the packaging is way too good to carry it in the handbag. The fragrance is also very mild, in fact, it is like nothing. Usually, we feel a high fragrance in lip balms of the other competitive brands. So, definitely, this lip balm deserves a recommendation from my side and I would rate it 4.5 stars out of 5. (I have deducted 0.5 stars because I feel there is always a place to improvise)
As per to the brand, this is a primer which reduces the shine of your makeup and gives you the mattifying effect. However, this does not justify its claim. Although it is a good primer, your skin may feel a bit oilier at some point. This primer is not so good in humid weather. Moreover, it is too expensive and the quantity offered is also too less. You have to pay Rs 1425 for just 20 ml of the quantity. Therefore, it neither justifies its claims nor it has something ‘wow’ in it. It simply acts as a good primer which can let your makeup stay for good hours. Otherwise, one can have much better options available while selecting a good primer.
Okay, so to be honest with you all, I picked up this palette only because it had 30 beautiful shades which include shimmers, glitter, sheen, and matte. And that too even in a pocket-friendly budget. We usually find many other good eyeshadow palettes which do not have many shades but are quite expensive to buy. Hence, for this point, I was totally amazed. Not let me discuss its quality. The shades are beautiful which are good to use on an everyday basis. It is not that wedding type of palette as it does not have any pinks or reds or even neon. I loved its mirror, which is a full size and becomes easy to use. The applicator provided is also good to use, but you may find a better option in your vanity bag. The packaging is gorgeous and it is not too big nor too small that you can’t travel taking it along. The names of the shades are mentioned, which is a good thing, I guess. The pigmentation is also nice, but some shade do fall out while applying, and for that, it is good to apply primer as a base. Overall, my experience with this eyeshadow palette is nice, till this date. And yes, I will recommend this to everyone.
To be frank, I just simply loved its packaging. It looks very cute and the information printed on the pack is also in a different style. The product description mentions that this is an exclusive blend of coconut milk, egg white proteins and weightless coconut oils to give the natural strength to your hair. The price is a bit higher side, viz, 625 INR for 385ml. The texture of this conditioner is smooth and creamy. The fragrance is just amazing, for me it is yummy. 🤤 Now despite having its lovely packaging and yummy fragrance, it does not provide much hydration to my dull hairs. In fact, it does not detangles my hairs even. Moreover, I do not feel that it controls and manages the frizzy hairs as well, because it does not provide any nourishment to the hairs too. So, overall, I was not so happy with this conditioner and it was too expensive as well.
It is one of the oldest cold creams which is still running successfully in the market. This cold cream works like a wonder for dry skin, but for oily skin, this is a big NO. My oily skin becomes oilier and looks very greasy and sticky. If I apply this during winters, my skin looks darker and greasy. Hence, to be honest, I do not apply this to my skin. Moreover, this cold cream attracts more dust and dirt as it is too much creamy. It does not stay for a longer duration also. And if anyone gives a splash of water on the face, this cream will go off completely. On the other hand, on dry skin, it keeps the moisturization level intact. Apart from the above-mentioned, it is affordable, easily available, and easy to carry, and it is also available in mini packs which is a perfect choice while travelling. In short, I would suggest this cold cream only to dry skin, not for oily skin.
Activated charcoal is a really good thing for the deep cleansing of the facial skin. I heard about this peel-off mask with activated charcoal though one of my friends. I bought it immediately because due to oily skin I get more blackheads on my T-zone, which looks very odd sometimes. I got this activated charcoal peel-off mask at the retail price of Rs 350 for 50g of a tube. If I start from its packaging then it has got a general plastic tube packaging with a screw cap. It is travel-friendly and does not allow any accidental spilling. Now for its application, one has to use a bit of extra quantity because it becomes easy to make a thick layer of the mask otherwise thin layer is of no use. But despite keeping this mask on the face for good sufficient time, I don’t see much difference on my face. Like any facial scrub, it makes a facial skin soft and smooth but for just a few hours. You may see few whiteheads on the peeled off mask, but blackheads will still be on your face. So, overall my experience with this peeled off mask was not as good as it did not serve my purpose of purchase. Therefore, I don’t think that this product is worth of any recommendation.
The brand claims that Gulabari premium rose water is ideal for cleansing sensitive skin. It serves as a moisturising agent. However, according to my opinion, this rose water does not anything on the skin. It just gives a cooling effect for an initial few seconds but after that, it is just like normal water. It also contradicts its name, which is premium rose water. If we look into its ingredients, we can find a huge list of chemicals which includes Parabens as well. Paraben, as we all know, is a very harsh chemical which is associated with lots of side-effects. This rose water neither moisturize nor hydrates any skin. Dull skin remains dull, and oily skin remains oily throughout the day. In fact, if we start using this rose water on a daily basis, then we will be harming our skin more rather than providing the nourishment. Therefore, I am not going to recommend this product to anyone, in any case.
These lipsticks are available in 10 different shades. Each shade is beautiful and perfect for every Indian skin tone. Among these shades, my favorites are ‘plum feather’, ‘Burgundy Lush’ and ‘coffee lite’. These shades are highly pigmented and give a very beautiful velvety finish. The texture is creamy and smooth and it glides on very neatly without leaving any patches or developing any fine lines. It gets quickly dry and reflects out its matte look. It stays for a pretty good number of hours, says for 6-7 hours. It does not make your lips dry. So, one can definitely try out these lipsticks. Moreover, they are quite pocket-friendly too. They come at 575 INR wherein the net quantity of these lipsticks is 9g. So, pretty nice quantity. The only con which I felt, that too in their packaging, is it becomes difficult to identify the shade of the lipstick as every tube has the same neutral pink body and rose gold color. Virtually, no shade identification way is given. Rest is all good with these lipsticks and I would surely recommend this to everyone. It is good for everyday use as well.
This kajal comes in a compact shape. Its packaging seems to be quite similar like any other kajal - the twist and turn pop-up style packaging. This kajal is far better than any other kajal brand. Although it is not 100% smudge free, it is but yes, at least this kajal does not make you look like ‘raccoon monkey’. It is not too dark nor too light. I do not feel any sort of irritation, or itching in my eyes. It stays for good hours. Overall, I am liking it over any other brand. The price is also very pocket-friendly to make a re-purchase.
Makes hair soft and smooth
Makes hair shinier
No spatula is provided to take the product out.
This cream for hair is indeed a good product from the brand Himalaya. As the name implies, it actually works on the hair. I started using this product after watching a video about its goodness. Initially, I was skeptical to use this but later on, I thought to give it a try. And Voila, it did its job! My hair became soft and shinier. This product comes in a very travel-friendly packaging box. But the only con which I feel that it does not comes with any sort of applicator or spatula through which the product can be taken out. Although the box opening is big and wide enough, using hands to take out the product somewhere gives me the feel of unhygienic. Nevertheless, you just simply have to apply this hair cream on your wet hair and leave it for some time. Rinse it off with fresh water. You will feel the softness and smoothness in your hair. It is good to be used twice in a week.
Creamy and smooth texture
Not suitable for pigmented lips
Not all shades are available in India
This product is simply fantastic. It smells very beautiful and it tastes good too. I would say that the entire collection of this NYX butter gloss has some really beautiful shades. Having said that, not all shades are suitable for Indian skin tones. They have mostly nudes, peaches, and pinks. I have its ‘éclair’ shade. It is a pink shade. The pigmentation varies between the light shades and the darker ones. Here, darker shades are just one or two tones darker than the lighter tones. :D Moreover, not every shade is available in India. As it is a gloss, the texture is creamy and it does not stay much on my lips and fades away just after having a glass of water. But it keeps the lips moisturized for good long hours. Hence, this gloss is good for dry and chapped lips. The packaging is sweet, cute and travel-friendly. This lip gloss cost me Rs 750.
Gives instant shine and glow
Packaging has a detailed ingredients list
Too much expensive
This green colored clay mask is good for normal to oily skin. The outer packaging is a quite good and detailed list of ingredients is mentioned. It looks very big from its packaging but you get only 48gm for Rs 850!! So, for me, it was too much for my budget. Moreover, its packaging is bulky as well. If I talk about my experience after using this mask on my oily skin, then my skin gave out matte finished look after its use. It gives an instant glow and you will find yourself very refreshed. It keeps oily skin free from oil and stickiness. Moreover, this matte finished look stayed on my face for 4-5 hours! The major drawback of this clay mask is the presence of paraben in it. Hence, I do not think that I am going to re-purchase it.
This perfume has not only a pretty pink bottle but also its beautiful notes. The notes are very soothing, not in their extremities. This perfume can be worn as an everyday perfume. Its pleasant and soothing fragrance is definitely going to be loved by everyone. It does not let you think that you are wearing some musk or any other chemical on your body. This perfume can be considered for a gifting purpose. Your body will easily absorb its fragrance and each note is very pleasing to smell. The only drawback is its less staying power. Each note dries out pretty quick. Although, if you spray it on your clothes, it will last long; on your body, it will not stay for a longer duration. Having said that, it is my personal experience which may differ with others. Overall, it is a pretty good perfume, but not that recommendable. One can have other better choices available similar to this with long-lasting power.
It is a dual-ended stick for highlighting and contouring purpose. The best part of this wonder stick is it can be carried along in your clutch or handbag very easily. Moreover, it is easier to use especially for the beginners. The packaging is quite simple and minimalistic, which I actually loved. The NYX wonder Stick comes at a good price of approximately 1100 INR and the total quantity is 8g. The finish can get a more precise look because this product makes it easy to hold and apply. So overall, it is a nice product from the brand NYX and with the beginners, it works really best. The only con which I felt while using this product that due to its thin consistency a lot more contouring side has to be applied to give a more perfect look.
Quantity is a bit less for long hairs
I used this brand’s caramel chocolate shade. This is a nice shade of brown. My experience with this shade was nice. I did not experience any itching on my scalp neither my eyes start burning while developing it. The conditioner sachet which comes along with this pack has also got a nice and mild fragrance. But please remember to get results, always apply hair color on washed and dry hairs, not on oily textured hairs otherwise the color will not come. Secondly, keep the color on your hair for at least 60 to 70 minutes rather for just 30 minutes as mentioned on its leaflet. 30 minutes application is just for their advertisement purpose only. Do not shampoo your hair after its usage, just use its conditioner. So, overall, this is a nice product to use as crème hair color. Good results.
Volumize your eyelashes
This mascara comes for Rs340 wherein one will get a tube of 12ml. Nevertheless, this lash effect mascara is somewhere around good to use. It does not make my lashes clumpy or stick. It does volumize my thin and light eyelashes. It is water resistant as well. The applicator brush is also good. Does not take out any extra liquid from the tube. The bristles are soft and give a good effect on my eyelashes. This mascara works for a good 5 hours and does not smudge as well. Yes, if you wash your face deeply then definitely this mascara will fade off. So, overall my experience with this product was good.
This makeup revolution liquid highlighter comes in a very pretty packaging which looks really beautiful in its mini gold glass bottle of size 18ml. This liquid highlighter is quite costlier in terms of INR as it is not widely available in India. It comes in a dropper cap which makes easy to apply this liquid highlighter. In its liquid, one can find finely milled shimmer particles which gives illuminating shine to the face. Although every shade of this liquid highlighter is perfectly suitable to Indian skin tones, the darker shades can be mixed with the foundation to get a perfect look and finish. This product is highly pigmented and a minimal quantity is sufficing. It has a smooth consistency and thin texture and gets easily blended even with the fingertips too. Moreover, it is a lightweight cosmetic so it does not feel cakey on the face. Its effect is long lasting, nearly to 6-7 hours. Overall, it is a good highlighter.
Although this cream is too expensive; but it is good to try. This cream comes at a retail price of Rs 3150 wherein you would be getting only 15 ml, but the amount of this cream which is needed to apply is absolutely minimal. So this product goes for approximately two months. This cream is the best if it is used as a night cream because it gets many hours to work upon, however, if anyone wants then it can also be used as an eye cream before makeup. This cream is gel-based hence easily gets absorbed under the eyes. Moreover, it is fragrance-free and it is good for every skin type. It gives positive results if it is used on a daily basis. Moreover, it reduces the puffiness of the eyes too. Therefore, if anyone wants to try out for its eyes, then this cream is worth using.
Although being costly in comparison to its competitive products, this gel eyeliner is the best. It comes in a small package of 5.5g plastic tub container which will cost around Rs 1100. The packaging is quite sturdy and travel-friendly. It is available in different shades but I had its shade 77 which is a super black color. The consistency is smooth and the texture is creamy, but it is matte and highly pigmented. It dries up quickly, hence, one has to be super quick and perfect in applying eyeliner as well because it is absolutely smudge-free and water-proof too. Therefore, if the hand moves here and there or shivers while applying then you may not get an easy way to remove this eyeliner and put it back correctly. The only drawback which I realized that this gel eyeliner may get wasted in large quantity if its usage is not very frequent. Therefore, I would recommend this product only if the usage of eyeliner is high. Otherwise, an occasional user may feel its money got wasted.
This skin brightening product made up from natural products like red sandalwood, Manjishtha, Liquorice (mulethi), Indian Lotus, etc. Although it is suitable for every skin type, but, according to my opinion it works best on dry skin. It removes blemishes, pigmentation, increases the natural glow, and it also prevents acne spots. Due to the presence of natural ingredients, this product is absolutely safe to use than any other chemical based cream. Kumkumadi oil may not be so effective for oily skin, because it makes skin oilier. This oil is a bit costly but if you use it on a daily basis you may see notable changes on your skin. Overall, it is the best product to treat scars, blemishes, pigmentation, and uneven skin tone. In addition, this oil can also be used as a Sunscreen because it has natural saffron too as one of its ingredients.
suitable for oily skin
does not lead to any breakouts
Get dries quickly
Not good for evening wear
Does not come along with any pump dispenser
It is one of the most expensive foundations. It costs Rs 3300 for just a 30 ml matte finished bottle. The major drawback is the absence of any pump dispenser. It leads to the wastage of product because most of the time excess product comes out of the bottle. Secondly, this foundation is good to use during the daytime only as during night your face will look really white after its application. You can not click your selfie using a flash camera. It gives out a very weird look. Thirdly, it oxidizes as well. This foundation is good for normal to oily skin and it does not lead to any breakouts. Apart from the above, the coverage is not so perfect. One has to apply this foundation twice to get perfect coverage and finish. It dries out very quickly. So, if you’re applying this foundation giving dots then you have to be quiet quick in blending both the sides of your face, otherwise, it may become very patchy soon. Hence, I do not feel that this foundation is of any worth. Despite being so expensive, it does not give any desired result.
transfers a lot
not long lasting
Rs 500 for just 1.25g. a little bit expensive. But the formula is really amazing. It has got creamy and buttery texture but it tends to use more. The packaging is quite complicated. This lip color transfers a lot. Moreover, this lip color bleeds as well, if you do not apply it correctly towards to your lip line. The covering lid is so tight that if your hands are with any lotion or cream, you may find it difficult to open it. It has got a sponge tip at its another end which can be used to give an ombre effect. However, this sponge tip gets dirty after its usage and one may find it unhygienic to reuse it again unless it been washed properly and carefully. The shades which are available in India are of total 8 in numbers and each one of them is beautiful to apply. The name of each shade is different like any other lipsticks. This time Maybelline has been named their lip crayons like – red 1, pink 1, mauve 1, etc. Overall, these lip crayons are good but I feel one can have much better options under this price range.
Settle down nicely
Looks very natural
Each pan can be refilled instead of buying a whole palette again
This contour Pro palette comes in a plastic case which is quite a sturdy one. It has got 8 shades, and each can be taken out and can be refilled again instead of buying a whole palette again. In this contour palette, there are 4 highlighting shades and other 4 are for contouring purpose. The outer package comes along with a tutorial image as well which is extremely helpful for the beginners like me, where you can understand which areas of your face require highlighting and contouring. The only drawback which I felt is the absence of the name of the shades. Otherwise, each shade settles very nicely. It does not look cakey. It gives out your natural look and goes perfectly well even at your daytime look. Overall, a must try contouring palette.
This lipstick is really good and justifies its name. As the name suggests, it does not leave any crease or patches on your lips. Its creamy formula keeps your lips moisturized for good long hours. I have its two shades and I bought them in around Rs 225 each nearly 2 years back. Now, the price may have got changed. The lipstick is very lightweight and you may not feel that you have applied something on your lips. Although, this range is not transfer-proof and survives only light meals they are good to be worn at your office hours, your casual outings, etc. The shades are bright and beautiful. You may not love this lipstick for its short staying power, still, I love these lipsticks because they do not give back any negative impact on my lips. Hence, I will recommend this lipstick.
Sally Hansen is an American’s Nail brand and not widely available in India. But one can search online for its availability. It is a bit expensive and comes in a bottle of 29.5ml. It states that the nail cuticles can be dissolved in just 15 seconds. However, the soft cuticles can be removed with this gel-based cuticle remover, but one may find difficulty in removing the hard one. For that one has to use a cuticle remover tool. So, my take on this point – if one has to use a tool to remove cuticle, then why one would buy this expensive product. Moreover, this product has to be used in proper caution. This cuticle remover should be removed in a maximum of 1 minute and that too with using warm and soapy water. Hence, I would not recommend this instant cuticle remover. For me, it will not be a wise decision to spend so much on this cuticle remover.
This compact is one of the oldest compacts which is still running successfully in the market. The best thing about this compact- it is suitable for almost every skin type. Although packaging has been changed from time to time, the formula is still the same. It is oil-free and gives out a natural glow after its proper application. Its applicator is also effective enough to give an even look and a perfect finish to your make up. I have never experienced any drawback of this compact, although I am using it for several years. This is my on-the-go makeup companion upon whom I trust blindly. This is also inexpensive and easily available in every next-door cosmetic store. Highly recommended and I will continue using it until it is there in the market.
I am writing this review after using this product for 1 month. I bought its 15g of tube worth Rs 115 from a nearby cosmetic store. To be honest, its packaging looks very elegant and classy. Packed in a white plastic tube with a silver screw cap gives it’s a very high-end look. The product carton mentions that this product is inspired by trends at Lakme fashion week; I was more hopeful. The color of the cream is like baby pink and the texture is very silky. The fragrance is floral based like any other Lakme product. It blends very easily on the skin and gets quickly absorbed. Though it gives an instant glow to my skin, due to the absence of SPF, this crème is just like any other day cream. It does not make much difference. Moreover, on oily skin, it is not effective at all. Hence, will not buy this again. Not recommended.
These matte lipsticks from Maybelline are so good to apply. They are not absolutely in matte texture, but they are creamy based. They keep the lips properly moisturized, therefore no dryness is felt. It stays for nearly 5-6 hours and when it fades, it leaves a beautiful satin which somewhere looks like an ombre effect. It is lightweight and does not lead to any dryness or roughness. There are beautiful shades available for every Indian skin tone. The pigmentation is good and the color pay off is nice. It gives out a nice look even in just single glide, though it depends upon the shade. The light shade needs more glide, I guess. The price is also affordable and it comes in a good quantity as well. Definitely, I would love to make a repurchase of another shade and would recommend this to others as well.
Free from chemicals
Treats dry skin problem
Good for dull hair
I bought this virgin coconut oil after being recommended by my friend to treat extremely dry skin of my husband. I bought this coconut oil at Rs 650. It was the discounted price, as its retail price is Rs 725 for 500 ml. So, quite affordable for this much quantity. Anyways, my husband applied this oil on his legs first to check for any unforeseen skin reaction. Fortunately, there was none, despite leaving it overnight on the skin. Next day when he bathes, he could feel a better skin texture. Its already been 6 months, he is using this virgin coconut oil regularly and the results are really surprising. He has much better skin now – moisturized and free from scaly look and roughness. 😊 Even I use this oil for treating my dull and lifeless hairs, and honestly speaking, my hairs are smoother and have shine in them. So, overall, this virgin coconut oil from Organic India is absolutely worth of using. One can see good and notable changes after its continuous use.
This clarifying lotion No. 2 is basically for dry to combination skin type. My sister who has dry skin used this product for a good 3 months. The product is good and as the name implies it cleans the skin deeply even after washing face. Yes, even after the face wash if you gently rub this clarifying lotion through a dabbed cotton ball, you will find some dirt on the cotton ball. With its continuous use, my sister’s dry facial skin has started looking more even with no visible tan. This product is a bit expensive, but it gives the desired result in terms of clarifying. However, this product is not effective at all for clogged pores or for treating acne. Overall, this product is good but expensive.
This satin lipstick from Mac is very dry for lips. The color of the lipstick is fine, but it does not last longer on the lips, and besides, due to dryness, it also leaves some types of patches. The texture is smooth, but does not give the right look in only one glide. The price of this lipstick is also on the higher side however, I bought this lipstick after some positive reviews. But my overall experience is not so good. Therefore, I will not buy it again nor will I recommend it to anyone. There may be other good lipsticks in this price range. I'm totally disappointed.
Large quantity of product
Not suitable for every skin type
Milani Rose powder blush is good for oily skin because the skin feels quite dry after applying it. The textures are completely matte and are not very pigmented. If your skin is dry or normal, you can experience dryness and patchiness on your skin after using this blush. That's why it is better that you do not use this product. On the other hand, these blushes come in very beautiful packaging with transparent lid and golden tub. The product is beautifully engraved with rose, which is quite unique and different. Its volume is much higher than any other blush in the market. It is approximately 17g in weight for just 799 rupees. I have used its Tea rose shade, and it is a bit neutral in its tone, therefore, it is in accordance with my skin tone.
This product is quite expensive. It comes in a plastic tube of just 30 ml, which costs Rs 1,200 but as the name suggests, it fixes your oily skin without any effort. Packaged with rose gold screw cap in a white plastic tube. It claims to be free of oil, so it is full 'no-no' for dry skin. The texture of this cream is a bit thick, like a mousse foundation. It blends easily and the fragrance is also very good. It is good to keep makeup for a long time. It gives a matte finish look to your oily face. Any oily skin with slight imperfection will look amazing after its application. Therefore, this product is good for oily skin, otherwise, do not buy it.
These pencils are not available in India, but I got these jumbo eye pencils as a gift from one of my cousins who stays in New York. Usually, I do not experiment much with my eye makeup because I’m not that perfect in that section, but after having these eye pencils in my vanity I tried these pencils in a number of ways. And Voila! They worked so well. These eye pencils are creamy in their texture and have a broad tip. They are available in varieties of shades, but I got only 2 – cobalt, and yogurt. The names are actually very unusual. Nevertheless, they are good to use as a base of an eye shadow, as my eyelid is super oily so this eye pencil as an eyeliner does not look good. These jumbo eye pencils are of 5g. This eye pencil does not tug nor smudge, but on my oily eyelids, it does not stay for much time. Still, it lasts for 4-5 hours.
I had never tried any mousse foundation, but after using Lakme mousse foundation I started preferring them over any other liquid foundation. And amongst all, matte is my favorite as it looks good on my oily skin. I purchased this liquid mousse foundation on its retail price viz., Rs 450. I was hopeful for its claims which were feather light and oil-free formula without giving any feeling of heavy or greasy. So, if I start with its packaging then it comes in a plastic tube wherein in its bottom, the shade of its foundation is shown with its name. This becomes easy to choose shade according to the skin complexion. However, this plastic tube is actually hard to press in order to squeeze out the liquid from its nozzle. At the same time, the quantity of this mousse liquid foundation is very less in comparison to the price. Now let us come to its texture and my experience after using this foundation. The texture and its consistency are smooth and creamy, and since it has an oil-free formula, one with dry skin may not love this foundation. However, this foundation blends quite easily in the skin. Although it has an oil-free formula, during hot and humid weather, you may feel oiliness and sweat too. For this, you can apply any loose powder to settle it. Overall, it brightens up the skin and gives a fresher and smoother look. It does not stay for many hours and oxidizes as well, hence better to choose a shade lighter than actual. In short, it is an okay product, not so great.
One of my cousins uses this product to keep her makeup long lasting instead of giving touch-ups. According to her, this settling spray is meant for the oily skin. And to maintain a matte effect on the makeup this spray is good. It does not smudge the makeup. But according to my cousin’s opinion, this spray is not helpful in keeping the makeup long-lasting. Like a usual, the makeup stays for 4-5 hours, after which it starts fading. Hence, it does not make a difference. One of the major drawbacks of this product, it has alcohol as its one of the ingredients. Hence it makes the skin drier. And secondly, the odor is really very strong and inconvenient.
Strong herbal smell
Does not spread easily
First of all, none of the creams, or lotions are capable enough to transform the skin complexion from darker to lighter. And so, this cream too. I really cannot understand why almost every cosmetic producing company focuses so much on the word ‘fairness’? Anyways, this cream is not at all of single worth. This cream is too expensive and delivers only 15 grams of the product! The carton box is much bigger than its actual container. It is too misleading. If you are using this so-called ‘fairness cream’ on a regular basis, then within 20 to 25 days this cream will get over. My friend bought this product, thinking it to be the best cream from the trusted brand, Patanjali. She was so excited to use this product as she was in the perception that it will enhance her color complexion just due to the presence of 24kt gold and other vital herbal ingredients in this cream. She used this product religiously until this cream got over and as per to the mentioned directions to use, but the results were zero. Although, this cream is good to give a temporary glow to the face. This cream cost her Rs 399, and it was not worthy at all. My friend is totally dissatisfied with this cream. This cream has a strong smell which seems to be of completely ayurvedic. The consistency of this cream is a bit thick and does not blend easily. The color of this cream is in dual tone and leaves a sheen of gold on your face. So, sometimes it looks very artificial. This cream does not even help out in treating blemishes or dark circles. Hence according to my friend’s opinion, I am not going to recommend this product to anyone under any circumstances.
Soft on the skin
Exfoliates the skin
Revitalizes the skin
Makes your skin radiant
Not ideal for dry skin type
I have started using this face wash two months back. Then I was desperately searching out for the solution of oil control and sweating and I can say that this is an awesome product from the Pond’s Institute. As its name implies, this face wash is good enough to deep clean your face from dirt and other pollutants. It makes the skin fresh and glowing due to its deep cleaning formula. Its major ingredient is activated charcoal which is really good for deep cleansing. This face wash is a way to simple to apply if I compare it with any charcoal face-mask. You just simply need to wet your face, create lather and gently massage onto your face and neck, and then rinse it off with fresh water. I have oily skin, but I feel fresh and oil-free after using this face wash. It helps to treat breakouts which usually happens due to the pollution and dirt. My skin feels smooth and does not get any rashes or irritation. I would say that this is the best face wash for oily skin. The packaging of this face wash is quite simple with a white and black colored plastic tube. Like all other face wash, this too has a flip cap opening which is leak-proof. The content is grey in color implying the presence of activated charcoal. The fragrance is very mild and soothing. I bought this face wash at Rs 180 for 100g. After using this face wash, there is nothing needed to apply on face. However, during winters this face wash may not be suitable as it can lead to dryness. I will surely recommend this all my friends who have oily skin and searching for a good facewash which can help in oil-control. I am totally happy and satisfied with my purchase. It’s thumbs-up.
Controls pimples and prevents them from coming back
Dries out tiny pimples and prevents them from getting bigger
Contains salicylic acid that helps unclogs pores
Does not work on blackheads
Not suitable for dry skin
I usually love using Pond’s face washes because they deliver me the good results and most of them are effective in treating skin-related minor problems. And among them, it is Ponds Pimple Clear Face Wash, which is available for purchase at Rs 69/- for 50gm. It is totally affordable, and the packaging is quite impressive, sturdy as well as sleek which makes it travel-friendly. Moreover, its leak-proof flip cap keeps your product safe and hygienic. You can easily carry this face wash in your handbag. The consistency of this pimple clear face was is thick which seems to be like a cream, but actually, it is not. It lathers a lot helping you to massage your face and neck gently. The color of this face wash is pure white. This face wash targets the 10 problems of oily skin and pimple problems. Its main ingredient Active thymo T-essence helps to treat pimples by targeting pimple-causing bacteria. While applying this face wash on your face you many feel its velvet-like foam, which gives instant brightness and glow to your skin due to its deep cleaning formula. It acts as a deep cleanser, and best suited for oily skin. The fragrance is absolutely refreshing and soothing. I have not seen any side-effects post using this face wash. It cleans extra oil and dirt, and it keeps you sweat-free. It is a perfect option for pimple prone skin; however, if you are having major pimple problem, then a dermatologist is the best person to contact, not this face wash. Hence, according to my opinion, it is a good face wash and I definitely recommend it to others who have oily skin or pimple prone skin. I had mild pimples on my oily skin due to the dirt and other pollutants, but now they are almost gone.
Cleanses pores from deep within
Infused with vitamins
Let me start with its price which is Rs 140 for 50gms of quantity. The packaging of this face wash is very effective, minimalistic and comes with a screw cap opener. The texture is smooth and soft like any other face wash and the consistency is a bit creamy. Its fragrance is very soothing and refreshing, one cannot dislike it for sure. However, the ingredients are pure chemicals and it does not have a single natural ingredient. In fact, its preservatives are harsher. Therefore, I would like to request to the brand they if possible, then please use some less harsh chemicals and preservatives. The foaming of this face wash is creamy and lathers well. It is effective and gets easily applied to the skin. It gives mild cleansing despite having so many harsh chemicals. So according to me, mild cleansing is a plus point. Moreover, it will not dry out your skin. And yes, regarding its claim for skin lightening, I would not like to comment on it as I always say that none of the cream, lotion or face wah can change your skin color. If you have oily skin with blackheads, then this face wash may not be super-effective as it removes blackheads to some extent only. Whereas, it is the best for treating whiteheads. You will see the notable changes in your whiteheads after using this face wash for 15 to 20 days. So what is my verdict – This is not for people with dry skin, acne-prone skin or pimples with our formation as it can irritate those skin very badly. But on the other hand, it is a strong cleanser for oily skin, normal to combination skin as it deep cleans the skin. Important tip: if you this use this facewash, then follow it with any ph balancer like Aloe Vera gel, rose water, etc on your skin as this facewash is a bit alkaline in its nature.
Available in different sizes
Does not straighten the hair
Does not smoothens your hair
Makes hair dull and lifeless.
I heard a lot about the goodness of the keratin treatment, and according to my beautician, Keratin is a protein which keeps your hair healthier. But at almost every salon getting keratin treatment for your hairs is quite expensive and time taking. So, I thought instead of spending too much for this keratin treatment at any beauty salon, I should buy this shampoo which claims to contain Keratin and Argan oil, which help to nourish your hair and control frizz for up to 3 days. The smell of this shampoo is like any fruit and it is very pleasant. The packaging is just like any other shampoo bottle. I have a bottle of 580ml for which I had spent Rs 410! The price is also somewhat affordable because I got a big bottle of this product. As I have read several positive reviews about this product, I was expecting a lot of good things for my hair. But, but, but it was not at all good for my hair. My scalp is a bit of oily with straight, dry and frizzy hair. Therefore, I was expecting that after using this shampoo my hair will become soft and smooth which will be more manageable and frizz-free. However, in the true sense, my hair started falling, they became duller and there is a no-sign of smoothness. I feel like being cheated by this brand. My hairs were better than today’s condition. Although, I have stopped using this shampoo anymore, still, it will take time to get back into its previous condition. I feel that it could have been a better option to spend at any salon services, rather than wasting it here. Totally disappointed. I am nowhere going to recommend this product to anyone because it did not serve the purpose of use, instead, it has damaged my hairs. ☹
Suitable for all skin types
A little goes a long way
Makes skin radiant
Contains fruit antioxidants
Lakme blush and glow face wash range are worth of using. These face washes are in the gel format, which has fruit extracts to make the exfoliation possible. Therefore, in their peach gel face wash you may find some small beads in the content which are nothing but the peach extracts. The consistency of this face wash is not at all runny as it is gel-based, and the texture is also a bit like mild scrub face wash, although, it is not a scrub. The packaging is really impressive and informative too. The tube comes in a transparent plastic tube of various quantities with different prices. This transparent tube gives out a matte finish to the product packaging and also helpful in knowing about the content of the product and the quantity of the same. This range of Lakme face wash is quite affordable in price and widely available all over the places. When I tried this product for the first time, I felt the difference in my skin. It was cleaner and looked fresher. I did not get any extra sweating neither any acne or breakouts after its use. It is a gentle yet effective face wash. It helps in oil-control which is a big issue with every oily skin people. I was actually happy to feel that even during the summers I am not sweating much just after washing my face. This Lakme blush & glow peach gel face wash is free from parabens, hence it is safer to use. It cleans your face very effectively and gives you the fresh look after a whole tiring day. Here, by the term, blush and glow indicate the above only, not any shiny effect on your skin. At last, I would say that this gel face wash is worth using, and I guess every skin type people can use it. It does not dry out your skin. In fact, it keeps your facial skin soft and supple. Hence, this product is totally recommendable.
Blocks 97% of UVB Rays
Blends easily onto skin
Brightens skin tone
Contains a lot of chemicals
Leaves white cast behind if not blended well
Lakme sun expert is an awesome sunscreen lotion for any normal to dry skin, but it does not suit to oily skin at all. The moment I apply this sunscreen lotion I start sweating more, as such I have given a splash of water on my face. Moreover, I start getting itching and irritation on my skin. Even after washing my face, it takes some time to normalize my skin from itching and irritation. On the other hand, when my sister who has dry skin, applied this sunscreen she felt nothing as such. According to her opinion, this sunscreen works really best in comparison to any other sunscreen lotions or cream. It stays for nearly 2 hours, and after that one has to re-apply this sunscreen after washing her face. This sunscreen is not water-proof. Due to the presence of SPF50 and PA+++, it protects from maximum harmful UVB rays. The packaging is good and travel-friendly. Its flip-cap prevents leakage or any wastage. The consistency of this sunscreen lotion just like any other lotions, which is smooth and a bit of runny so that this lotion can get easily absorbed by the skin. It is a lightweight product and dermatologist tested too. Although, this sunscreen costs Rs 250 for a 50ml pack if anyone is looking out for some discounts then go for online purchase. As it did not suit my oily skin, hence I handed this product to my sister and she is using it on a daily basis. According to her experience, her skin is now no more tanned, despite being out during the peak humid hours of the day. She is really happy and satisfied with this product and on the basis of her opinion, I will recommend it to all, excluding oily skin and sensitive skin people.
Fresh, long-lasting fragrance
Deep cleanses hair
I still remember the time when Garnier had launched its first product with the name of Ultra Doux shampoo. It was a big hit in the market. And now if I talk about this new shampoo Garnier Ultra, it is good. I had dull and lifeless hair with some kind of frizziness too. But after using this shampoo I realized that it has improved my hair texture a bit, for sure. They seem to be better now. The frizziness does not come on Day 1 on my shampooed hair. This shampoo acts as a good cleanser, not as a specific hair problem healer. My hair gives a good luster and I feel very light and smooth when I touch my hairs. The fragrance of this shampoo is very citrusy, but it fades away after a few minutes and gives a fresh feel to my scalp and as well to me. If I apply conditioner after this shampoo, then it just like a cherry on the cake, The packaging of this product is quite beautiful with a light green bottle and golden cap. The bottle is quite sturdy enough and its cap prevents any accidental spill. The fragrance is purely herbal-based when smelled directly from the bottle. The consistency of this shampoo is not too thick neither nor too runny. And the best part of this shampoo, it is Paraben-free. Hence, it is safe to use on a daily basis. However, an oil massage to your scalp before shampoo is always suggested to make your hair healthy and strong. At last, to conclude, I will recommend this product to everyone. Please note that this shampoo is good as a basic and gentle cleanser of your scalp, it does not treat any sort of hair problems, like hair fall, dandruff, split-ends, rough-ends, etc. I am happy and I will give thumbs up.
Contains natural ingredients
Moisturizes the hair
Needs to be followed up with a conditioner
Can be drying for dry scalp
I was eager to use this khadi product because I love wearing khadi manufactured clothes and using their quilts. This shampoo comes in Rs 145/- for 210ml of product. This product is available in the selected outlets only but widely available online. The packaging comes in a simple plastic transparent bottle with a flip cap which is too tight to open. It prevents any accidental spill. The packaging though looks sturdy, but I did not like it much as each and every time I try to open its flip cap, I hurt my finger. ☹ The ingredients are quite herbal in nature. Although it is not mentioned whether it is parabens free or not, I assume it is free from such harmful chemicals. The consistency is thick and the color of this shampoo is jet black like any other shikakai shampoo. The fragrance is also like any shikakai product. My experience with this shampoo after oil massage- it took an extra effort to deep clean the oil from my scalp. After using it, I did not experience any dry texture of my hair. But when I used this shampoo without any oil, this shampoo was quite effective and easily cleaned my scalp and controlled the frizziness of the hair. However, this totally depends on the texture of your natural hair. Hence it is better to use a conditioner after this shampoo. It gives temporary hair shine but the next day it will turn out to be normal. It does not promote any hair growth. This shampoo is best suited for normal hair, but if you have a dry scalp then you can skip using this product. Otherwise, follow the hair conditioning. Overall, this product is basic hair and scalp cleanser which freshen up your scalp and gives a good shine to your hair. Again, it is not that perfect option for a dry scalp but if followed with good hair conditioner, then it is good too. Hence, I will rate this shampoo 3.5 stars out of 5.
Makes hair smooth and soft
Contains SLS and other chemicals
This shampoo from the brand is quite old and previously it used to come with the name of ‘Sunsilk smooth and nourishing shampoo’, however, its packaging is a little bit changed now. In its new packaging, we can see its new and modified name. However, the goodness of this shampoo remains unchanged. According to the brand Sunsilk, this shampoo is enriched with 5 natural oils which nourish your hair making them soft and smooth. So, if I compare my experience with these claims of the brand, I feel it is not 100% true. There are some terms and conditions attached to these claims. If you have an oily scalp and you do not use any sort of hair conditioners, you won’t find much difference in your hairs even after using this shampoo. Whereas, the dry scalp may observe a better look; that too a temporary one. Just from the second day of your hair wash, you will feel some sort of stickiness or a kind of oiliness in your hair texture. So, you have to shampoo your hair every 3 days to keep your hair smooth and soft. The fragrance of the shampoo is really nice but does not stay much on your hair. It fades off by the day end. Day 1 of your shampooed hair will make your hair texture very smooth, but it does not control frizziness of the hair. But from the next, it is all normal. Therefore, I would say that this shampoo has nothing ‘wow factor’ in it and can be considered as a general cleaning purpose shampoo. And yes, even after the presence of 5 natural oils, this shampoo doesn’t make a bigger difference. Hence, I may not recommend it as these category shampoos are widely available everywhere. I would rate this shampoo 3 out of 5 stars.
Imparts shine to hair
Forms a good lather
Makes hair silky and soft
Might not work for oily hair
First of all, this shampoo is not widely available. I purchased its bottle through one of the online lightning deals, otherwise, it’s MRP is Rs 975 for just 250 ml of a bottle. So, if I start from its packaging, it is just like any other shampoo bottle. But yes, it is very minimalistic and clear. So according to me, the packaging of this bottle is impressive. It comes with a press top cap which is easy to use while being in the shower too. It can be used with one hand without giving many efforts. The product is sturdy enough to carry it in your bag to travel. This shampoo is transparent in color and the consistency is normal – neither too runny nor too thick. A little quantity of this shampoo is sufficient enough to clean my shoulder length hair. So, this shampoo goes on for a longer time, as you did not need too much of its quantity. The fragrance of this shampoo is somewhat like a melon which is refreshing and soothing too. If I talk about its effectiveness then this shampoo makes my dry hair very soft and smooth for food 2-3 days, which usually other shampoos does not. Moreover, I get a very silky type of feel whenever I touch my hairs. My dry hair looks good and manageable. If anyone uses this shampoo with any hair mask, then definitely it will work perfectly. This wella professional element renewing shampoo is free from parabens and sulfates therefore, it is safe to use on an alternate basis. However, I would suggest that give a gap of at least 2 days in between your shampoo days. Overall, it is a nice shampoo which actually works on dry hair, but at the same time, it will not deliver a good result on oily scalp. The only con which I feel about this product is it's being an expensive product.
Reduces split ends
Contains natural ingredients
Prevents fungal diseases
Contains natural Ayurvedic ingredients
Reduces hair fall
Flip lid isn’t very sturdy
Himalaya herbals Anti hair fall hair oil is a much better option in comparison to any other hair oil. It claims that this product is good to use for moisturizing the scalp, and it promotes hair growth by minimizing hair fall. After being suggested by my husband, I tried this hair oil, as my husband is a big loyalist of this hair oil. Anyways, I tried this hair oil on my hair for some days, and I found that this oil really works. I observed that my hair fall problem is minimized. Although, this good change came after the few weeks of application. I use this hair oil twice in the week before going to bed at night. I keep it overnight and wash it off with shampoo the next day. My hair looks very shiny and manageable. The best part of this hair oil – this is non-sticky. I felt quite relieved to notice that I do not sweat after using this hair oil. Its ingredients are also purely of herbs, hence there are no chemicals present in this hair oil. The consistency of this hair oil is runny like any other hair oil but it is very lightweight. Hence, a nominal quantity of this har oil works perfectly. I have a shoulder-length straight hair which gets frizzy due to the dryness and dullness. But after using this hair oil, my hairs are more manageable now and does not get frizzy after hair wash. Regarding the hair growth, I will not be able to comment much, as I do not know whether my hair has gone thick or not, but surely hair fall is reduced to much extent. Overall, I am totally happy and satisfied with the usage of this hair oil. And I will definitely recommend this to everyone who is tired of hair fall problem. Best hair oil.
Not good for oily skin
Does not serve the purpose
Not Paraben free
Usually, I love using FabIndia skincare products, but this one did not meet the level of my expectations. I bought this cream for my mother as she was experiencing the light pigmentation on her facial skin. But did not get any positive results. The box of this cream comes in the quantity of 100 ml and it cost me Rs 475. I believe it was an expensive purchase, and it was not worth too. This product is not organic neither of herbals range. Moreover, it is not free from Parabens. And in fact, this is not suitable for oily skin because it is very sticky and greasy on the skin. Although in the pack you will find mentioned that this de-pigmentation cream is for Normal to dry skin. My mother applies this cream at night only and that too in winters. So, it was good, she did not experience any unwanted sweating nor any acne, but she did not see any relief in her light pigmentations also. This cream, although, makes the skin soft, if you apply at night keeping it overnight. The consistency is quite thick in comparison to any other face cream. The texture is smooth and soft and this cream gets easily absorbed by the skin. Dry skin people can use this cream on a daily basis; it works like any cold cream for oily skin. Hence, in short, I will suggest not to go for this de-pigmentation cream as it does not serve the purpose also. Therefore, not recommended. It is a simple face cream, and it is way too expensive. I guess any DIY or any other home remedy will do much better in treating pigmentation rather than this cream. So, this time I am unhappy and dissatisfied with FabIndia products. I will give 2 stars out of 5.
Do not serve a single purpose of use
My mother uses this face wash religiously and that too twice in a day. I am seeing her using this face wash for the last 6 months, but honestly speaking, I did not notice a single good change on her facial skin. Her oily skin still gets seasonal acne and she has some whiteheads too on her T-zone. Therefore, according to me, this face wash is just a namesake product. It does not carry a single benefit. Though it claims that it is 100% natural and made up of herbal ingredients, I do not accept this fact. Even I have tried using this face wash for 3-4 days because my preferred face wash was out of stock at my nearby medical store. I realized that this face wash does not even give a look of fresh and cleaned face! Although this product is quite pocket-friendly, being pocket-friendly is not everything for me. At least this product should deliver some benefits too. If we talk about the packaging of this product, then it is too simple and generic. Its white plastic tube is completely opaque and one can do not even guess how much product is left over or what is the color of the face wash. The texture is not completely smooth, bit rough you can say. And the consistency is a bit hard, in comparison to any other face wash. The price is just Rs 40 for a 60g tube. The fragrance is a bit on a higher note, but not soothing. Lastly, to conclude, I would say that I am not so happy with this product, as this product does not deliver its purpose. It is just for the namesake. I will give only 2 stars out of 5, as I did not notices a single benefit after its use.
A little goes a long way
Removes makeup and dirt
Available in different sizes
Not suitable for dry skin
This was the first face wash which I had used during my teenaged phase. And I still use it in case I don’t get my preferred face wash. I often buy its small pack of 50 ml which costs me around Rs60 which is absolutely affordable to me. This face wash comes from its parent company Johnson & Johnson and it is quite a good product. As its name implies, this face wash does clean and clear the dirt and extra oil from the skin. It gives a fresh look. Having said that, it works on the oily skin without any second thought. It comes in a plastic bottle sized packaging, which is quite sturdy enough. It has a transparent bottle with a flip cap which is leak-proof due to its nozzle dispenser. These features make it a travel-friendly product. The shelf life of this foaming face wash is more than enough, which is 3 years! The color of this face wash is transparent with a tinge of orange color. It is gel based face wash and bit runny in consistency. The major con of this facewash is the absence of ingredient list on the package; at least, some of them could have been mentioned so that the users can know what they using for their skin. Hence, I guess this may have more chemical ingredients. For oily skin people, this is the best option. As it cleans the excess oil and dirt from the face. It works like a Pro. If your oily skin has some acne also, then this product may help you, but too much acne will not get any help. Overall my experience says that this clean and clear foaming face wash is good for the teenage girls or to them who are looking for gentle and mild facewash for their oily skin. Dry skin people may avoid this facewash.
Removes flakes and itchiness
Strong unpleasant smell
Not travel-friendly product
Having an oily scalp is really irritating. It catches dandruff soon during the winters and so with me. It feels so bad to scratch your scalp in front of everyone. ☹ Previously, I used to think that only anti-dandruff shampoos are effective for dandruff problem, however, after using this anti-dandruff hair oil, my thought process is totally changed now. Oil stays for more duration on our scalp to work against dandruff, whereas shampoo gets hardly 2-3 minutes to work upon. Moreover, shampoo only reduces the upper layer of the scalp, but hair oil works at the root cause. Anyways, I use this hair oil twice in a week keeping it overnight, especially during the winters because this dandruff usually occurs in winters. Next day, I wash it off with lukewarm water. With its repeated use for 2-3 weeks, I felt that the itching from dandruff has got minimized, and my oily scalp too does not have much dandruff on it. The consistency of this hair oil is runny and it is lightweight too. It is not sticky too. Hence, I can carry it on the daytime too, if I do not get time to wash my hair with shampoo. The fragrance is a bit on a higher note; however, it goes away with a single hair wash. This anti-dandruff hair oil is quite economical to purchase as well because you will get 100 ml of this hair oil by paying only Rs 85. So, quite affordable, if this hair oil suits you. This bottle of hair oil is not travel-friendly, as it leaks when it gets jerk. Overall, my experience with this anti-dandruff hair oil was good and hence, I will recommend this product to all as I have noticed good results from this anti-dandruff hair oil. From my side 3.5 stars out of 5. I have deducted 1.5 stars for not being a travel-friendly product.
Reduces dark spots and marks
Evens out skin tone
Reduces dark circles
Can aggravate acne
Can give itching to your face
Those creams which give instant fairness and glow to the skin have some kind of bleaching agents in them I do not feel that this product is good to use on a regular basis. But yes, whatever this product claims, it justifies. It gives instant fairness and glows to your skin. Despite its being non-oily, it does not suit my oily skin. I feel itching and next day few acne, and rashes on my facial skin. Hence, I don’t like this face cream for myself. Moreover, it is too expensive to buy as well. For 199 INR you will get only 50gms! And if you are going to buy its small pack which is of only 20gms, then you need to pay 99 INR. ☹ So this is absolutely no way a pocket-friendly product. However, the packaging is quite innovative. It comes in tube packaging covered in a carton box. It has a pump-style dispenser to take out the correct quantity of the product. So this helps to prevent the overuse of the product. The texture is good and creamy like other normal face creams. The fragrance is mild and quite similar to Ponds cream. It can be blended seamlessly and is absorbed quickly by the facial skin. This cream (if suits you) can be used as both day cream and night cream, but I feel it is best to use it as a day cream. It is somewhere good for dry skin too, but if your skin is super dry then apply it on top of moisturizer. My experience with this cream was not that good and satisfactory as it leads to itching and acne. Moreover, I do not prefer bleach-based products. Hence, I will rate this product 3 out of 5 stars. Not fully satisfied with this cream.
Can make your skin greasy
Skin starts itching right after the use
Oily skin may get acne and breakouts
Okay, so let me share with you my honest opinion about this brand. As we all know that this brand is associated with our famous Yoga guru, and all the products under this brand are absolutely natural and ayurvedic based. So, when this brand was launched, I tried to use its several products like Aloe Vera gel, its toothpaste – Dant Kanti, its soap, and many other ones. But truly speaking, none of them worked positively on my body. The Aloe Vera gel gave me too much of itching and red rashes, and that too instantly, making me look like ‘a red-faced monkey’, Dant Kanti gave me tooth sensitivity to which I am still struggling, its soap gave me itching too. Still, by keeping my heart strong and after a lot of insisting from my mother, I tried its beauty cream. But like all other Patanjali products, this one too reacted on my skin. ☹ My facial skin got several breakouts and acne right after the three days of use. I used it as a night cream because I thought that my oily skin will start sweating more if I apply this cream during the daylight time. However, the price of this product is not at all costly, just Rs75 for 50gms of a tube but this brand and its products are not worthy to try even. The packaging box includes the list of its ingredients which are natural and free from parabens and other chemicals Hence, I am just unable to understand that how can an ayurvedic product cause negative implications on a skin – whereas I have read as well heard that ayurvedic products never cause side-effects even if it doesn’t suit you. Nonetheless, I will rate this product 1 out of 5 stars, and will never ever recommend any of the Patanjali. Totally dissatisfied. ☹
Contains natural ingredients
Not suitable for usage in winter
Does not prevent acne and pimples
Vicco Turmeric Skin Cream – that cream which is still running n this market since last two decades. This cream states that this cream is good for removing the pimples, acne, dark circles and blemishes; gives fairness and glow to the skin as well. Moreover, one can find several good reviews of this product online. But frankly speaking, due to its ingredients, this cream is not at all suitable for every skin type. This cream is no way good for dry skin and sensitive skin type. It makes skin drier and if being a sensitive one, then acne and pimple will multiply further, rather than getting stopped or removed. It is just due to the presence of sandalwood oil, not powder. Sandalwood oil does not treat acne or pimples, neither makes you fairer and glowing. In addition to this, this cream does not treat blemishes or any dark circles. It is just a claim from the brand, but being an active user of this product, I can say that the brand’s claim is absolutely wrong. As we all know that this skin cream’s major ingredient is Turmeric, so I would like to inform you all that turmeric is not suitable to all skin, hence it is recommended to do a patch test before using this skin for the first time. Yes, this cream is good for treating cuts and wounds due to the presence of turmeric in it. Otherwise, no other benefits I have gained after using this cream for 3 complete months. I have only observed that this cream will help to stop the aggravation of the acne or pimple if it suits you, otherwise no benefits. This cream keeps your skin moisturized for the time being, but later on, you will feel only dryness in your skin. This cream costs Rs. 58 for 50gms. The fragrance of this skin cream is aromatic and appealing.
Not suitable for acne-prone skin
It has to be applied with full caution and care
First of all, I never use any crème bleach, neither I recommend this to anyone to use it often. These bleach-based products are usually harsh on our skin and may cause side-effects, therefore, it is better to do a patch test before applying it for the first time on your skin. Moreover, bleaching should not be done if your skin is acne prone or have any open wounds because it can severely burn that area. So, I tried this product for the first time at my wedding after getting suggested by my beautician. As my skin is oily and sensitive too, so I was quite nervous to apply this. But fortunately, none of the side-effects appeared. My facial skin had a good glow and it was all good on that d-day 😊 Basically, this fem fairness naturals crème bleach is suggested to those persons who have many unwanted facial hairs making them look darker. When this crème is applied to the facial skin it makes those unwanted facial hair light and similar to the skin tone. Otherwise, there is no such benefit can be sought from this crème bleach. This crème bleach should not be used regularly and under-18 girls should not use this product as until this age skin is quite sensitive in nature and keeps on changing its texture. The fragrance is mild and good, and this product can be purchased at Rs 30 for an 8gm pack. This is a good product until it is been used with proper care and caution. ‘ Yes, I will recommend this product. Just make sure your skin is not acne prone, nor sensitive neither you have any open wounds or cuts. I am totally happy and satisfied with this product. I will give 4 out of 5 stars.
Evens out skin tone
Provides UV protection
Provides basic coverage
Conceals dark spots and blemishes
This was the first time I have applied any CC cream. I had completely no idea what this CC cram do to the skin. The Lakme brand claims that this product acts as an instant skin stylist and lets you get the perfect look of makeup and skincare for any occasion. And if I talk about my experience with this cc cream, then definitely it is thumbs up. 😊 I was so surprised to see that instant glow to my skin which was simply flawless. I have minor imperfections which got completely covered through this Lakme 9 to 5 cc cream. So, every claim is justified. The packaging looks impressive and it comes in a dark pink colored carton box. And the tube inside it is lightweight and quite easy to travel along. The product comes in a rose gold tube of 30 grams which will cost you around 315 INR; although you can expect some discounts while purchasing this product online. I have oily skin, but this cream is so good to use. It does not lead to any sticky or sweaty look of mine, instead, my skin looks fresh and shiny. Before using this cream, I was worrying that this Lakme 9 to 5 cc cream may give itching or rashes on my face, but to my surprise, it did not. The texture of this cream is smooth and the consistency is like any other face cream which gets blend easily. The fragrance is quite similar to all other Lakme products. This cream should be applied in a dotted manner with the help of your fingertips. You can blend this cream with the help of damped sponge applicator or with a makeup brush. It does not dry your skin, rather it moisturizes your skin very properly. It gives a perfect finish like foundation. This cream stays for long 5 hours, and after that, it starts fading. Alright, to conclude, I would say ‘yes’ to this cream and will give full 5 out of 5 stars.
Unsuitable for daytime use
Strong turmeric smell
Not suitable for dry skin
This Vicco turmeric WSO skin cream is better than its normal skin cream, Here, WSO stands for without sandalwood oil, which is good for the acne prone skin people. However, this cream takes nearly 15-20 days of time for treating this acne and pimple but notable changes can be expected. This cream still not okay for dry skin, as it dries out the skin even more. On oily skin, I still sweat when I apply this during the day, hence I prefer this cream to apply as a night cream. Although, if you apply this cream on any cuts or wounds, then definitely this cream is beneficial, as turmeric is antiseptic. This cream may not suit everybody because of its major ingredient, ‘turmeric’. And turmeric does not suit everyone. It is better to have a patch done, before applying it for the first time. The consistency is thin and somewhere around runny. The texture is as usual smooth which gets easily absorbed in the skin when blended. But as this brand claims that this cream makes your skin fairer and glowing, then I would say that please do not go with this claim. None of the creams can bring changes in your skin color permanently; temporary solutions are available but if you are looking to try this cream for getting fair and beautiful, then you may feel disheartened. This Vicco turmeric WSO cream skin cream comes in a 30grams yellow colored tube for which you have to pay RS 65 and it is widely available in all nearby stores. Overall, this cream is not so very impressive but somewhere better than its usual skin cream. Still, I would say a lot of improvement can be done with this cream. I am still unsure that whether I will recommend this cream to others or not, but yes as an antiseptic product this cream is the best. So, one has its own choice.
Makes hair soft
Makes hair manageable and easy to comb
Works as a heat protectant
I still remember when I was the kid, this serum was launched and my maternal aunt used to apply this serum. And now I do. 😊 this product is an old one in the market. This serum is really good. I have straight but dry and dull hair with an oily scalp. This makes my hair frizzy and unmanageable. Whenever I try to do some good styling with my hair, they never look even satisfactory. Hence, I started using Livon hair serum. And thankfully, it worked on my hair making them shiny and manageable. I use it on my wet hair make this serum effective because I felt that once your hair gets dry this serum won’t work efficiently, hence making your hair oilier. This livon hair serum is widely and easily available throughout the country. It is quite affordable too. I purchased its small bottle for a trial purpose a year back for Rs 60. Now it is almost going to over. But I am surely going to repurchase it. The bottle is of plastic material, transparent and comes with a flip cap. And it is easy to carry along as well because it is leak-proof. The consistency is runny and this serum is pure transparent in its color. This serum shows the best results in small quantity even. It gives a good lustre to your unmanageable and dry hair. I do not use it often, but whenever I am planning to go out, I just pour out its small quantity and apply it on my shoulder length hair. It stays for good hours, but not for 24 hours! Lastly to conclude I would say that one can use this livon hair serum for sure and this product justifies its claim. But use it after hair wash. I will recommend this product. 😊
Cleans the intimate area thoroughly
Prevents irritation, itching, pain, and bad odor
Prevents white discharge and infections in the vaginal area
Balances the vaginal pH value
Can be used during periods and pregnancy
Consistency seems to vary when bought online
The lid on the bottle opens easily, making it not travel-friendly
My sister started using this intimate wash when she had suffered from repetitive urine infection. Her doctor had suggested her to use this product and since then she had been a continued user of this product. She really feels this product to be a worthy and effective product. This product gives instant relief to the irritation and itching problem. It has no side-effects even. According to my sister’s opinion, this product can be used 3 to 4 days a week, daily use is not required here. We just need to simply need to take a few drops of this Vwash plus and lather it with the help of little quantity of fresh water and simply clean the private parts. Make sure it has to be done externally, this product should not be penetrated inside. Once done, rinse the area with freshwater properly. One can feel the cooling effects of this Vwash plus after use. This product can be used even during the menstrual cycle days without having any second thoughts. This keeps the private parts cleaner and more hygienic. Even more, this product can also be used by our teenaged girls as well to prevent any itching, bad odor or any sort discharge. The best part of this product is it is free from any harmful chemicals like parabens or any SLES. And one bottle of this product can be used for two years. So, this makes this product more worthy. The packaging of the product is very good and provides complete information about the product, including the directions to use. It prevents every possible doubt which usually every woman has before using any intimate hygiene product. Overall, according to my sister’s opinion, I would definitely recommend this product and even I am going to use it as well 😊 full 5 stars to this product for making intimate hygiene so easy and comfortable.
High color payoff
Wide range of 20 shades
Compact and easy to carry
Not 100% transfer-proof
Elle 18 lipsticks have always been one of my favorites. It was the first lipstick which I had applied for the first time. This lipstick is my mother’s favorite too. According to her, instead of spending s much on any other brand, it is good to use this lipstick because it is affordable and does not create any white spots on the sides of the lips. The color pops range has added matte range in Elle 18’s lip care section. These are smooth in texture and glides very swiftly in a single application. The color pay-off is also good. The color shades available in the matte range of Elle 18 are also bright and appealing. The packaging looks good and cute as well with the print of a girl’s face on the black bullet-shaped tube. The lipstick pops out with the twisting of the tube. This 4.3 grams of lipstick comes for Rs100 only. You all may remember that is its previous range had a white colored moisturizing core in its lip shade, but now it is only a single color lipstick. The texture is not completely matte, but it is creamy-matte, so the finish will not look exactly like a matte lipstick. It keeps your lips moisturized and prevents them against drying and chapped. Although I am happy with this lipstick, the only con which I feel for this lipstick is it is not smudge-proof, neither transfer-proof. It cannot survive even a light meal. It starts getting fade. Hence reapplication is needed as and when you eat or drink something. But I think I cannot expect everything with this price. Hence, I am happy with this lipstick. I love its bright shades and have already purchased its two colors – Berry Dance and Code Red. Overall, it is absolutely a worthy lipstick and one should try this.
Over 30 shades
Lasts all day long
Can be used wet or dry
Does not come with a brush
Too much expensive
This eyeshadow is one of my favorites from Mac. About 30 beautiful shades are available for choice. Among them, there is a beautiful shadow in it called 'woodwinked' which is my favorite and I often use it. This shade is like Brown-Bronze color which can also be used on the upper eyelid. I have also tried this shade as a transition shade, otherwise, it is also good for itself. It feels great when applied neatly on upper eyelids. I never skip using a primer for its base, as it helps to make eye makeup more defined. Although these eyeshadows come in the texture of pearl, matte, shimmer, frost, and velvet, I use its pearl texture. It is highly pigmented and can be blend easily. There is no doubt that this eyeshadow is super expensive from Mac, but one can try once. The staying power is good and does not smudge even. It does not cause any kind of irritation or itching. The packaging is good with its classic Mac Pot and it is easy to select the shed of its choice because it's cover lid is transparent. Apart from this, it is also friendly to travel, but you have to keep your makeup brush separately as this eyeshadow does not come with an applicator. Only the con which, I think. The quality, no doubt is excellent, hence I do not have any major complaints. But I wish if this brand reduces its price for this product. I could have repurchased this product. I will recommend this product to all makeup lovers if they are able to grab this amazing eyeshadow at a good discount. In short, this MAC eyeshadow is simply amazing, highly pigmented shadow which is also a long lasting one. One can trust this brand to get a high and professional quality product.
I am a big perfume addict, and after using this perfume, I can say this is one of the best perfumes for a woman. I sweat a lot even during the summers, and the worst part – my sweat starts emitting the worst body odour if I have not used any deodorants or body perfume. This body perfume has got everything for which it should be loved. Right from its elegant and beautiful purple bottle to its lovely fragrance. This perfume was once been gifted to me by my brother who stays in San Francisco. In India, I didn’t even hear the name of this perfume. Anyways, I use perfumes and deodorants on a daily basis. I do prefer the perfumes during my evening outings, or during some special events. Therefore, I always choose those perfumes which have good staying power and the smell is not too loud. It has to be very soothing and comfortable. For me, the fragrance of this perfume is very much alluring and magnetic. Its fragrance changes every time according to its notes. Initially, it will be like a floral-fruity type and then it will shift to vanilla and at last, it will settle down amber. Every note is soothing and stays for a longer duration. You may find that the fragrance is still there in your body even the next day. The fragrance never gives me any headache. In fact, many strangers ask me about this alluring fragrance. 😊 In the end, I would definitely say that this perfume for women is no doubt too expensive, but it worth every single penny. Just simply spray the required quantity to the pulse points and rest be assured that your bad body odour (if any) is not going to irritate anyone. I will give 5 out of 5 stars, and recommend this to all perfume lovers. 😊
Limited shade range
Not for dry skin
Accentuates dry patches, pores, and fine lines
Mine is oily skin which sweats a lot during summers. So, after knowing that this product’s formula controls oil from the skin, so I thought to give it a try. Its price is also a bit affordable, Rs 595 for 30ml. So let me start my review with its packaging, This foundation comes in a pink tube, the colour which Lakme 9 to 5 CC cream has. This dark pink tube with nozzle dispenser is good to carry along in a handbag. Hence, this feature makes it travel-friendly product. However, I have noticed that once you apply this foundation the staying power is not at all 12 hours (as the brand claims). This hardly stays on my skin for nearly 5-6 hours!! ☹ Although the texture is smooth and soft, it has to be blend as soon you apply it on your face. As it gets to dry very soon leaving behind a cakey and a patchy look. As of now, I do not have many imperfections on my skin, so I believe that it gives good coverage and hides my minor skin imperfections. At the same time, it is capable to hide under eye dark circles evenly. One can skip using concealer if using this bright matte foundation. It has a medium creamy texture and gives a perfect matte look when applied and blended nicely. I prefer sponge over any brush or fingertips. It is a lightweight foundation. It also does not gives any dry feeling. However, this foundation is not so good for dry skin as it tends to dry more due to its ‘oil-control’ formula. My skin looks natural and comfortable after its usage. Hence, I can say that this foundation goes well with oily skin even during the summers; try not to apply this on winters as it dries your skin.
Dabur Amla hair oil is among that hair oil, which does not require any sort of introduction or a detailed review. But still, I will share my personal opinion here. Although for many users this hair oil is the best option, for me it is. I am using this hair oil for a long time but did not observe any good change in my hair. Neither in terms of shine nor in growth. However, I apply this hair oil twice in a week at night before going to bed. Except for that stickiness on my scalp, I get nothing. My hair fall problem also did not resolve. Although in my family, application of hair oil twice or sometimes thrice in a week is compulsory, when I apply this hair oil, I feel why I am applying, it is of no worth. I have a big bottle of 180ml of this hair oil and I have consumed almost half of the bottle, but now I am really looking for some other hair oil which does not give any stickiness and should justify its name. I feel that now this product is more of commercialized one, nor is that famous old amla oil. Therefore, I won’t suggest anyone use this hair oil because in no way this hair oil has shown the good results. Moreover, it is not lightweight. I start sweating after its application. Now I am actively searching for a good hair oil which can solve my hair fall problem. Moreover, it should not be weighty on my scalp. Otherwise, price-wise this hair oil is okay. And can be used just only for mental satisfaction. Otherwise, no hair shine, no hair growth, nor any increase in the thickness of my hair. Totally unhappy and dissatisfied. Hence, only 2 out of 5 stars.
Light to medium coverage
Looks cakey and dull
Difficult to blend
My friend uses this liquid foundation. The packaging is quite a usual one – a glass bottle package with a pump dispenser. This pump dispenser gives out a perfect amount of this liquid foundation. However, my friend did not love this foundation, as despite doing a lot of research for the exact match, her foundation of this shade makes her look a shade darker. In addition to this, she has got acne and marks after its application. If we talk about its staying power, it stays for nearly 4-5 hours on her skin, whereas the brand claims that this liquid foundation is good for 15 hours. Although it gives a comfortable feel to the skin and also a lightweight foundation. The consistency is quite smooth and soft. It is super expensive, moreover, it does not justify its claims. This liquid foundation looks more orangish, hence it tends to make the skin darker. And it does not give a full coverage nor a perfect finish. It fails to hide dark circles, acne, and marks. In India, it is hardly available. However, there are certain tips which can help to some extent. To make this foundation long lasting one can apply primer. For blending purpose, it is better to use the brush as with fingertips, it will not give a perfect finish with the perfect blend. To hide dark circles and blemishes, apply concealer or corrector. Makeup can be set with the help of compact to get a matte finish. At last, I would say that my friend was not at all happy with her purchase as according to her it was a complete wastage of her money. So, on the basis of her opinion, I would rate this Smashbox Studio skin 15-hour wear hydrating foundation 2 out of 5 stars. One can skip this product.
Easy to apply
Glides on easily
Conceals dark circles effectively
Does not get cakey
Provides full coverage
The first thing I loved about this product is its name – simple and self-explanatory. 😊 One need not have to do brainstorming about the role of the product. Anyways, if we talk about its performance, then it is quite good at meeting the customer’s expectations. This dark circle concealer comes in a round jar of 2.9g and available in four different shades – fair, light, medium and deep. I have its light shade. The texture of this concealer is smooth and creamy, which makes it easy to glide on the skin. I prefer to use my fingertips to apply as I do not use it with the help of any brush or sponge. It does not have runny consistency, rather it has semi-thick consistency. It does an excellent job in hiding under eye dark circles and does not show up any crease or fine lines at an applied area. It gives good results. TIP: one can use any translucent powder to get ma ore finished look. The coverage is relatively medium to full range. Its staying power is also good, nearly 6 hours. However, on my skin this staying power gets reduced when I apply this during summers, as I sweat a lot. To remove this NYX Professional Makeup Dark Circle, you need a good make-up remover. In every sort, it is a good product to use, and everyone should try this at least once. Overall, its packaging is good and sturdy and good to carry along while travelling. It covers the dark circles satisfactorily. It does not look heavy under my eye, instead, it is lightweight makeup. I would definitely recommend this all beautiful ladies if they are looking for a good and effective concealer for hiding their dark circles. It is worthy to use, and widely available online at some discount.
Suitable for all skin types
This foundation had created a lot of buzz within my friend circle as they were too happy to spend Rs 1900 for this nearly 30 ml of foundation. The buzz was about its being free from parabens, phthalates and fragrance. This product is basically based upon the oil-free formula and developed by dermatologist hence I believe it must be safe for the sensitive skin also. There are nearly 20 shades available for this foundation which makes it easy for everyone to choose the best-matched shade for self. I loved this foundation because it does not to any acne on your skin. Whereas most of the other brands need makeup remover to stay acne-free. The texture of this foundation is smooth and blends easily with the skin without giving many efforts. You need not need any moisturisation before applying this foundation. It gives light to medium coverage, and if you want a perfect finish, you can definitely apply some more and still, it will look cakey or sticky. Its natural finish gives a very smooth and lightweight makeup. The staying power on my facial skin is nearly 3 hours. However, my friends those who have tried this product, state that this foundation stays for long hours. Although my skin doesn’t have any age spots, it has some minor imperfections which get hidden after applying this Clinique Even Better Foundation. Its packaging is really compact, which looks beautiful too. It comes in a plastic bottle of 30 ml which is somewhere like rose gold in colour with a golden screw cap. It is travel-friendly too. Because of its smooth consistency, you do not need any sponge or something for blending purpose. I do it with the help of my fingertip. And it goes absolutely well. In total, I would rate this product 3.5 stars as the price is too high for me.
Wide range of shades
Medium to full coverage
Feels heavy on the face
Can get a little greasy
Difficult to blend
Not good for oily skin
Gives Creasy lines
This 8ml black squeezy tube provides the full coverage which can hide dark circles. It is also good in hiding spots and uneven skin tone. But it is not good for oily skin. This brand specifies that it contains coconut oil, and that’s why it is super creamy in its texture. On my skin, it feels so heavy and sticky; moreover, during the summers I cannot afford it to apply due to the excess sweat. Even if I apply a very small quantity, it looks very odd. However, if any dry skin gets in touch with this NYX Professional Makeup Gotcha Covered Concealer, then I am quite sure that it will good a very nice and perfect look and finish. To apply this Gotcha covered concealer, one can use its fingers, or a sponge to give a smooth finish. On dry skin, it gives a glossy and soft finish. The best part of this concealer is it does not take much quantity to give you the desired results. A tiny amount of this concealer is sufficient enough. The packaging is quite nice. Its dispenser is good enough to give the required quantity. I got this product in Rs 550, quite affordable, but cannot use much as it does not suit my oily skin. However, I feel that I can use it during the winters, as it does what it claims. An important tip, do not apply on your eyelid, otherwise, it creases and shows up fine lines. It stays on the skin for good hours, but if you have oily skin, better to carry blotting papers with you so that you can blot the extra oil. At last, I would suggest that if you have oily skin, then better to skip this. Otherwise, it is a good product. 😊
Hard to blend
Applicator is small
Not good for oily skin
This concealer kit from Maybelline New York is a small-sized concealer palette; the quantity is only 5.5g. Moreover, the size of each available shade is so small that if anyone uses a medium sized brush to apply then the shades may get overrun. The MRP is also high, viz., Rs 900!! It did not give me a satisfactory feeling after its use. The brand claims that this concealer kit helps to neutralize skin tone issues, conceal imperfections, and brighten the facial features, however, I don’t feel that this is true. I bought this product to cover under eye dark circles as I have to wake up till late at night because of my work. Hence, I selected a light shade of the palette, so that I do not complain about wrong shades. But it didn’t work out well. I followed the proper way of its application, but the coverage was not up to the mark. I can’t say anything about the pigmentation as it has all other things disappointing for me. Moreover, the applicator brush is totally waste. The sponge came out of its holder after 3rd use..!! I do not understand why brands give so useless applicators with those products where applicators have the major role to play. In addition to all, this palette is cream-based which does not go well with oily skin. Even if I use loose powder, it looks cakey and gives fine lines. Hence, I would say that this palette may go well with normal skin or dry skin, but with oily skin – never. I feel so uncomfortable. Moreover, one can choose among the other brands if the options are available because, with price, both quantity and the quality does not match. So, no way going to recommend this to my friends or family.
Oil and shine control
As the name implies, this powder plus foundation from MAC studio claims to be the one which gives the dual benefit of talcum as well of foundation. It has Silica and Talc which maintains a matte finish and absorbs extra oil from the skin. I have its shade number NC40, which goes perfectly with my complexion. This shade is a bit on its lighter side. The MRP of this powder plus foundation is Rs 1580 and its quantity is 15g. If you use it on a daily basis the quantity will go long. The packaging of this product is similar to other competitive brands. Black coloured round shaped product which includes a mirror on its opening flap, and a disc sponge too for its application. However, with continuous usage, this sponge gets dirty. This powder plus foundation is a lightweight product which can be easily carried in a handbag. This product from MAC gives you the perfect finish if we compare it to any other liquid foundation. As liquid foundation may not give you an even coverage or a perfect look but this powder plus foundation gives even coverage. Moreover, I feel that I am not so perfect in applying liquid foundation. The texture is soft and smooth and it gives the smell of Multani mitti (fuller’s earth), which seems to be good for those who have strong power to smell. 😊 The longevity is also fine. Being a bearer of oily skin, I prefer to use this product before a primer. Lastly, to say, this MAC Studio Fix Powder plus foundation is all good to be used by them who don’t want to spend much time on getting a perfect finished look by the liquid foundation. I loving this product and would definitely recommend this to others :)
Suitable for all skin types
Wide range of shades
Does not get cakey or patchy
One of my friends has purchased this skin foundation after reading a lot of good reviews online. She thought to give it a try. As she was looking out for a make-up free look with the help of a good foundation. She always prefers those makeup products which looks natural on the skin rather being cakey. However, she was happy with this purchase – Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation SPF 15. According to her, it was really lightweight. This skin foundation amounted to Rs 4300 for just 30ml! personally speaking, for me, it is really expensive for the quantity offered. This foundation is basically a water-based foundation which has an oil-free formula. It gives out a natural glow to the skin. As this product comes in a pump dispenser, my friend takes it on her fingers and gives dots to those areas of the skin where it much needed. It helps to give perfect coverage. In addition, it is good to apply after moisturizing the skin. The bottle of this foundation is not too heavy nor too light, thus this makes it a travel-friendly product. The texture is smooth but the consistency is a little bit of runny. Therefore, one has to be quite cautious while pumping the bottle, otherwise one may get some extra quantity in her hand. It gets easily absorbed in the skin leaving it moisturised and I guess it is good for the daytime use also. This Bobbi Brown skin foundation SPF 15 is available in multiple shades for every possible skin tone, hence it is absolutely perfect for the Indian skin tones too. My friend loves the feel of this foundation when applied on the skin, it neither irritates nor gives any rashes to the skin. It also has SPF 15, which means it is able to protect your skin from 93% of the UVB radiations.

Revlon is one of my favourite brands. I have the majority of Revlon products at my home and I never stay back trying any product or cosmetic range of this brand. So when I heard about this makeup foundation especially for combination or oily skin, I just simply went ahead to buy this product. This makeup foundation cost me huge for a 30ml bottle. I purchased its shade number 110 ‘Ivory’. It matched my skin pretty well. If you are buying this makeup foundation from an online store, then please research well on your skin tone, as a good match is needed in case of foundation. The best part of this foundation is its staying power even during the hot and humid weather. Although I did not check about its staying power for 24 hours, as I never keep my make up during my bedtime. But yes, it does stay for the longer durations. Moreover, it does not lead to any breakouts or any skin irritation which I usually get after the selection of any wrong cosmetic for my oily skin. The coverage is good and it looks natural on my skin. The texture is not completely soft and smooth but it glides very smoothly on my skin. I prefer sponge over any brush for applying this foundation. It blends perfectly. Next, about its packaging. It comes in a glass bottle of 30 ml with a pump dispenser which gives a perfect amount of foundation in your hands/ applicator. The bottle is quite easy to handle and the cap is also leak-proof, so you can carry this foundation easily in your handbag while travelling. Although this product is costly, Revlon is a brand whose products are usually worthy to use (according to me, at least). Overall, I am absolutely happy to spend my money on this worthy product.
Smoothens your skin for the time-being
After hearing a lot of goodness of activated charcoal and its mask for facial skin, I thought to give it a try, as I have some whiteheads on my T-section area. I got this product at an affordable price and its net quantity is 130gms. First of all, I do not love at all the way it smells. It was like a fevicol. It created a lot of buzz about the effectiveness and the benefits of this mask, however, despite using this product since last 2 months and that too twice in a week, I did not see any positive result. I apply this mask after cleaning my face with an oil-control facewash and pat drying my skin. I even follow the tip of peeling this mask from bottom to top, but still no change. The peeling off time is quite painful because it sticks to your skin very deeply, and if you have any unwanted facial hair, then it is going to be more painful. Although my skin feels smooth for some time after peeling off this mask, those whiteheads do not get removed. So, it does not give any sense to me that only for smoothening my facial skin I should use this Charcoal Mask Cream. Instead, I can do scrubbing, which is not painful even. Hence, I will not recommend this product to anyone, because it did not serve my purpose of use. I was expecting it to be a healthy way of removing these whiteheads, but I was incorrect. Maybe, this product can be a good option for dry skin people, but it is not a perfect option for oily skin. Therefore, I would rate this product 2 out of 5 stars, and that too for smoothening my skin for the time being. Totally Unhappy ☹
Contains natural ingredients
If anyone sees my hair then they will find it straight and manageable, however, my hairs are not so good and they are frizzy from inside. This frizziness makes my hair not so perfect if I do some kind of styling or even just a half-clutch. They look very dry. Therefore, I was in search of any hair oil or any serum so that I can apply it to keep my hairs frizz-free. One of the beauty salon owners recommended me this mythic oil. Initially, I was sceptical to buy this oil because of its being too much expensive, and secondly, I was in perception that this person is just simply selling its salon products. But after too much of insists, I thought to give it a try. For this 125 ml of the bottle, I paid Rs. 990. I applied this hair oil on my towel-dried shampooed hair and I am NOT Disappointed at all. The smell of this mythic oil is so fresh and light. My hair gets less frizzy and they look more straight and smoother. The half-clutch style looks far better. I feel my hair get softer after its application. I use this mythic oil twice in a week, and I can see the positive results. The consistency of this hair oil is runny like any other hair oil, but you won’t feel the stickiness in your palm. It is lightweight and gives a good shine to my hairs. The packaging is good and this bottle comes with a pump dispenser, so you need have to worry about the quantity. I have shoulder length hair, and I need only one pump. So, this bottle goes for a longer time as well. Overall, I am very much happy with this purchase and of course, I am thankful to the person who had recommended me to use this mythic oil. This hair oil works best as a detangler leaving hair soft and smooth.
Suitable for all skin types
I always LOVE using those products which gives some combo benefits. Instead of having two separate products to use, I can have the only one which can serve my purpose. And so the one is. CLINIQUE Beyond Perfecting Powder Foundation + Concealer is a combination of both powder foundation and concealer. It gives full coverage without clogging pores. Like every other concealer, it is good in hiding skin imperfections. It is good for oily skin too, as it is oil free and humidity and sweat proof. This makes it suitable for the summers too. It's IVORY shade goes well with my skin tone and this foundation cum concealer is easy to blend as well. This product comes along with a mirror and a disc sponge applicator which gets dirty after some uses. But yes, this sponge applicator has two sides- sponge side, and velvet side, and one can use these sides of the applicator according to the level of coverage needed. The net weight of this product is 14.5g. Being a high-end product, it is a bit costly. The packaging looks very elegant and beautiful. A round shaped plastic compact box with golden colour metal cover. The texture is smooth and can be applied to the skin easily. It does not seem to be powdery when applied. It is safe for the sensitive skin too as it is free from parabens, phthalates. Hence, on sensitive skin, it will not irritate either give rashes to it. Its finish is absolutely perfect. On my skin, it doesn’t seem to be applied as it is lightweight and gives out a natural look. Hence, I will recommend this product to all those people who are actually looking something worthy for their skin. I will give it 4.5 stars. TIP: please do check the best shade for you before buying it online.
Vibrant color combinations
A mix of mattes and shimmers
This NYX Professional Makeup Ultimate palette of eye shadows looks really beautiful as it has 16 vivid shaded that can give you different eye makeup looks. The packaging of this eye shadow palette is quite heavy – it weighs around 13g.However, there is no mirror nor applicator is available with its packaging. Therefore, this is no way travel-friendly product. The shade comes in square shaped cuttings. However, this is a bit overpriced too, but those who love doing eye makeup will not consider this as a 'con' and will love using this product. This palette offers a nice shade range and a good mixture of warm, soft and shimmery eye shadows. The pigmentation of these eye shadows is good, but the light colours don’t really stand out well. The palette also has transition shades and you can build up the colours for more intense looks. The shadows go on well without any primer but look more prominent with a primer. The colours are creamy and easy to blend. The shades come in 3 finishes matte, shimmer and satin, which can be applied very easily. All the colours go on well and last for a very long time, moreover, they are smudge proof. The Warm Neutrals palette has a nice variety of shades and have great pigmentation. All the colours are easy to blend and use. For me, the Warm Neutrals palette is definitely worth to try. I find it better in comparison to its bright shades of palette. For me to use bright coloured palette needs more practice and preparation. I would say that if you don’t wear bright colours often, this warm neutral palette will be the perfect palette for you to purchase. Overall, I am happy and satisfied with this purchase and would recommend this to all make-up lovers.
4 in 1 palette
Balance of light and bright colors
Smooth and silky texture
Sponge Applicator is not effective
This quartet eye shadow palette from Lakme 9 to 5 is running in the market for a long time. Lakme has always been my preferred brand and I trust it blindly. Almost every product of Lakme is good and receives good acclaim from its users. And so, this palette of eye shadow too. It gives a defined look to the eyes. I wear its light shades, i.e., bright golden yellow and copper brown, during the daytime outings, whereas its dark shades viz., amethyst-violet colour and frosty olive green in any of the festive occasions. The MRP of Lakme 9 to 5 Eye Quartet Eye shadow is Rs 650 and it weighs around 7g. It comes along with a sponge applicator through which you can line your eyes in a single sweep. it very easy to do your own eyes and you can mix the shades to create new looks every day! Its radiant colour and shimmer particles give you the perfect look for every occasion. It is useful for all looks where it is a casual outing or any wedding season. It has a long stay power. The pigmentation of every shade is quite similar. The packaging of Lakme 9-to-5 Eye shadow Quartet comes in a small rectangular shaped palette with a transparent lid. This transparent lid enables to look for the shades. It contains 4 eye shadow shades and a small double-sided tip sponge applicator. However, this sponge applicator is not effective enough for the long run. The packaging is quite travel-friendly. The sponge will come out of the stick during the later course of time. Hence, I prefer a brush for myself. There are definitely many good reasons for using this palette as it becomes worth paying the amount. The texture is creamy soft to touch. Definitely, this product is recommendable.
I love the packaging of the Huda Beauty liquid matte lipsticks, especially the outer case. It has lips printed which are holding the lipstick. You need to slide the transparent case to the side to see the lipstick. I think it’s quite cool!. The lipstick is nicely packed in a frosted glass tube with a black cap and a doe tip applicator. The tube is pretty transparent for you to make out which colour you are picking out. The smell that these possess is great, vanilla cake is what I relate it to. it makes me want to eat it each time. However, if you ask me about the quality of this liquid matte lipstick, then I would say that it did not match up to my expectation. I actually heard a lot of good reviews, but after trying it on myself it was disappointing. First of all, it is overpriced, next, it is not easily available in India and furthermore, the consistency is too runny which takes extra time to dry. I have to apply 2-3 times to get an opaque colour. It also gives some sort of stickiness. However, it is waterproof and does not wash off easily. Under the high water pressure as well, the lip colour does not budge or smudge. You will notice some sort of fading from the inside part of the lips after having meals, hence you have retouch with this lip colour as and when it is required. Its doe shaped applicator is good and effective to apply. Overall, I would suggest you all prefer some other better liquid matte lipstick as there are so many better liquid lipstick formulas out there and if I’m paying $27 (I shopped from its official website), I expect a top-notch product. Sadly, it doesn’t live up to its claim so I don’t think I’ll be buying any more.
Easy to blend
This ‘nudes’ collection of Maybelline New York eyeshadow was been gifted to me by my sister. So, somewhere around I have some special attachment to this palette of eyeshadow. The first and foremost thing which I love about this eyeshadow palette is the instructions given at the backside of the box. It really helps the beginners (like me) to apply eyeshadow very neatly. I often use the ‘duos’ and ‘trios’ method of combination. The staying power of the shades is also great. Although I sweat a lot, still it does not smudge and I am free from any racoon monkey look. 😊 😊 Maybelline Nudes palette of eyeshadow cost around Rs 990, however, this can be purchased online for availing some good discounts. This product weighs around 9g, which is bit bulky… I won’t say that this palette of eyeshadow is travel-friendly because it does not come along with a mirror and the applicator is also not that effective. So, taking it along with not be a good option. Now if we talk about the shades then the shades are very beautiful, very subtle and give a perfect look even for the office purpose. It looks perfect on every skin tone, as my sister tried this too, and this was looking great on her skin complexion too. 😊 This palette of eyeshadows is a mix of matte, satin and shimmer shades. However, the texture varies from shade to shade. Some are creamy, whereas some are chalky too. The pigmentation is also good, but it varies from shade to shade. Overall, I will give this product 3.5 stars, and a good palette of eyeshadow which has some really good shades to apply. Hence, I would definitely recommend this product to all my friends who are the beginners in their eye make-up.
Not long-lasting results
This lipstick is pretty good. And the shade which I purchased was Nudes Fresh Brew. The packaging is the same bullet shaped packaging. Quite simple and travel-friendly. In its box, every ingredient is mentioned. Although it is good for Indian skin tones, will be more suitable for fair complexion. If we talk about its pricing, it was way too costly for me. As it has cost me nearly 1300/- and the quantity is 3gm. But somehow, I managed to buy it. Anyways, this particular shade goes well even during the summers too. It can be worn during office hours and even when you are not willing to apply bright make-up on your face. The staying power is not that much great, as it did not survive heavy meals, like dinner or lunch. It has to be re-applied again to give an even look. Moreover, I did not feel that this lipstick gives me some sort of dry feeling on my lips. If you apply this on winters, the moisturization level will suit your lips. It has a creamy texture and the look is a bit glossy. It gives out a very nice fragrance which is similar to vanilla. It gives a good look to my lips, and I love wearing it during the daytime. Pigmentation is not that great at it has got moisturization in it. If I conclude, then I would say that yes you can try it one as it has a good range of shades which is perfect for Indian skin tones, but I did realize anything great about it. It is not transfer-proof, nor smudge-proof. So one can think of some other better option to choose as in this price range, there are lots of options available. Therefore, I will not recommend it to any of my friends.
No-shine matte finish
Wide range of shades
Lips go dry.
I bought this lipstick after reading so many good reviews online. Despite knowing about its high price, I thought to give it a try once. I purchased the Velvet Teddy shade, which costed me like a bomb in my pocket for just a 3g lipstick. Nevertheless, the shade of this lipstick was beautiful which goes with every outfit and occasion. It stays on the lips for 3-4 hours (which is for me is an average) if you are having light meals, but it does not survive the main course. After its application, my lips went dry and looked very flaky.
However, after reading somewhere that we can moisturize our lips before applying matte lipstick to prevent dryness, I started following the same. And great, it worked! It has a creamy texture but gives a decent matte finished look. If I talk about its packaging, it comes in an all-time classic bullet shaped black coloured tube. So there is nothing much to talk about its packaging. The pigmentation in this lipstick is good and it goes well in a single swipe. This lipstick has the fragrance of Vanilla, which is quite lovable. Overall, I did not like this matte lipstick much as compared to the price I paid for it (although I am a big lover of Matte lipsticks) and for me, it did not meet my expectations.
I guess it could have been better as MAC has some really good range of products. The formula of this MAC Matte lipstick is nothing extraordinary. Moreover, it settles into fine lines and looks very dry. The quantity is also not huge because if you start wearing it on a daily, it will be over soon. in addition, it was too much expensive for me. Hence, I don’t recommend this MAC Matte Lipstick to anyone unless and until it is a gift. :P
Does not crease
Does not flake or fade
Easy to apply
Not widely available in India
This was the first product in my vanity kit from the brand 'Bobbi Brown'. I was too sceptical to buy this brand, as I was unaware of it earlier, however, after being insisted by the salesgirl, I bought it. Usually, I do not apply any CC cream or any foundation on my skin on a daily basis, as summers are on full swing. During my outings, I just simply put concealer and lipstick. And this simple way gives me a clear and neat look. However, on one of a family event, I tried this Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Cream Shadow stick to give some different eye look.
To start, the packaging of this item comes in an easy twist-up and twist down pen, covered with a cap. Quite simple to use and apply. Its sleek and compact packaging makes it travel-friendly and a light-weighted product. it is a versatile eye shadow with incredible holding power and it gives subtle to stunning looks to your eyelids. It can also be used to define, smoke up & highlight the eyes. It's unique stay-put formula let this shadow stay up to 7 hours without being smudged. It is waterproof and does not make any crease on eyelids nor it flakes or fades. The shade looks good on fair complexion and gives a perfect smoky look too. This Bobbi Brown Long-wear cream shadow stick is highly pigmented hence, it looks perfect on eyelids when applied neatly.
Its texture is creamy on the eyelid. With the help of this shadow stick, I can apply eye shadow more neatly and correctly. To apply, just swipe across lids and blend with fingertips for effortless application. And to remove your favourite makeup remover will do the needful. Please remember, this shadow stick won’t come off with water and soap alone. Like every product, it has some cons too, but very limited. It is expensive and not widely available in India. Some of the selected beauty stores have given space to this brand. And lastly, one cannot use a pencil or powder liners along with it due to its creamy consistency.
No staining and bleeding
No cracking, fading, feathering, smudging, or drying
Requires an oil-based makeup remover
Maybelline New York Superstay 24 colour 2 step Liquid Lipstick is my most preferred one. It is the one who justifies its name. As the name implies, it stays for the maximum duration despite having meals in between. Its MRP is Rupees 650, and the net quantity is 2.3 ml of liquid lip colour and 1.8g of lip balm. The 2-way lipstick includes a liquid lip colour on one end and a lip balm on the other. For best results apply liquid lipstick to clean, bare lips allow two minutes to dry, then apply the ultra-conditioning balm to seal in moisture. Reapply balm as needed.
You can remove this lip colour with an oil-based makeup remover. I personally use Vaseline petroleum jelly, so no much efforts are needed to remove it completely. This long-lasting lip colour keeps your lips looking fresh and moisturized when applied neatly. It is available in a collection of new high impact shades. There are enough reviews online about this lipstick. People either love or hate it. But I find it some of the best lipsticks for our Indian weather conditions, especially during the hot, humid months. Initially, a little sticky but once it settles down to a matte finish, it is practically budge-proof unless one eats something very greasy. It lasts for a long time without drying out the lips which is a big plus compared to standard liquid lipsticks.
It contains good pigmentation with just one application and like most liquid lipsticks, the shade turns a little deeper after some time. Doesn’t become flaky, fade off or settle down to fine lines. I bought the colour '120 Mauve Always Heather'. The colour is really pretty and will suit the Indian skin tone well. Overall, this is my favourite and I call it the best lipstick ever. Stays for maximum hours, if not removed. No touch ups required even after eating oily food.
Easy to blend
Gives Good Coverage
This is my first ever concealer. I did not use any concealer before. Before buying this product, I was sceptical as I have oily skin and I sweat a lot so I was in doubt whether this product will serve my purpose or not. But somewhere around I was willing to buy this as I wanted to hide my acne marks. However, after doing a bit of research, I bought its Shade 15 Fair for mine. I found this product effective in giving good natural coverage to the acne marks I have. It is easy to use and easy to carry as well.
Thankfully, it is a 'real' oil-free concealer and my skin does not look sweaty. On my oily skin, it goes for 4-5 hours, which is quite good for me. Although the selection of the shade becomes a bit tougher task, a minor up and down is okay with this concealer. You can skip using foundation on top of it, instead, you can apply compact powder. It gives a flawless look. I use my fingertips to blend after giving dots of this concealer where its coverage is needed. I usually apply on my acne marks and I find it good.
The texture is creamy yet lightweight which lets our skin look natural, and the best part - it is fragrance-free. I use it on a daily basis as I am a working woman. Overall, I am happy with this Maybelline New York Fit me concealer as it has solved my purpose of getting a natural and balanced look and I would say that one can try using this if it is on sale or any lightening deal. This product will not disappoint anyone for sure. It is a perfect product which does its job. In short, an amazing product.
Takes time to dry completely
Will not survive a meal
I love using lipsticks and lip colours. On my birthday, my best friend gifted me this lipstick. I was excited to use this and I must say it is really good and worthy to use. I use it on some occasions as it has a very vibrant colour. To start with, I would mention that this lip cream is affordable and the lovers of the lip cream can definitely buy it from any online stores, however, it is available in some selected offline stores too. The ingredients state that it has avocado oil and vitamin E, hence it gives the Semi-matte-finish look.
It does not contain any shine or shimmer however, it takes some time to dry up. The texture of this lipstick is soft and creamy. The staying power is nearly 5-6 hours which is pretty good. Although, this lipstick is not completely waterproof, as after having a meal you will find some fading of it. You will not feel any sort of tightness on your lips, as its formula gives a comfortable feel after the application.
So, you can easily wear it for long hours. The packaging of this lip cream comes in a plastic tube which has the same colour or slightly dark as your lip colour's shade. The quantity is fine. This lip cream is highly pigmented and delivers a perfect shade in a single swipe. If you have some pigmentations on your lips then this lip cream is surely going to serve the purpose. The applicator is long and has a soft sponge on top of it. This soft sponge does not allow me to have a clean line of application as it does not have any point. Overall, it is a nice lip cream to use but it is always good to look for some other alternative, if available.
Wide range of shades

Might feel heavy on the skin
Not good for Oily skin
Truly speaking I did not like this concealer after use, as mine is oily skin and this concealer is best suited for dry skin. I had purchased 'Fair Shade' which was a beige shade with pink undertones thinking to have a good quantity in a jar rather than having small packs. Though the brand claim that NYX Concealer Jar is perfect for large coverage for especially oily and combo skin, I did not feel it. I know that many users love this product, but this product didn't work up with me. It caused me several breakouts. I was getting more sweat after its use.
It could be due to my oily skin, I guess! However, when my sister tried it she was super happy, (she has dry skin). I noticed that it obscure imperfections and blur away the problem areas. This concealer comes in the array of shades. Right from the light shades to the darker ones like orange, deep espresso, lavender, etc. The consistency is moderately creamy and smooth. To apply you need to simply apply onto bare skin or over makeup and blend with fingertips. I am in the early 30s of age, but having oily skin this concealer makes me sweat more and leads to acne.
It doesn't stay for longer durations. After a while, you only see it stays increases. In addition, the packaging is also not so convenient to use. It is difficult to take out the required quantity out of the jar, as it does not have any applicator, or spatula. However, the quantity is well sufficient and will continue longer, if it is being applied in the correct quantity. I am not so happy with the product, although it is my personal opinion. It may work for you if you have dry skin. But for me, it's not a winner.
Easy to use doe-foot applicator
Does not get cakey
Full to Medium Coverage
Dries up quickly
Not All shades are available;e in India.
Under eye area has to be moisturized before its application.
My sister uses this concealer on her daily routine. She has CW04 Beige shade, as her complexion is lighter and her skin is dry. This shade goes absolutely well with her skin tone. She applies this NYX HD Photogenic Concealer Wand to hide her dark circles. And it seems to be quite promising. This product claims that this lightweight concealer cover-up imperfections, discolourations, and under eye dark circles without overlooking cakey. It is one of the brand's best-selling products. This shade of product is best suited for the people with a lighter skin tone.
The texture is creamy yet thick and smooth. It gives a good brightening effect under the eye. This product gives good natural coverage. The rest of the shades available with this concealer are good to try for the Indian skin tone. It has a variety of shades. One can choose the best shade according to the complexion. The packaging is quite travel-friendly. It comes in a transparent plastic tube wrapped in a transparent sheet with the required information like name, weight, quantity, ingredients etc printed on it. It comes along with an applicator which is attached to its black coloured cap. Some may feel dry after its application, hence it will good to apply a good moisturising cream under the eye and other needed area before applying NYX HD Photogenic Concealer wand.
For blending my sister uses her fingertips or sometimes even a beauty sponge to give an even look. However, it dries up quickly; therefore one has to be quick in blending so that it looks natural instead of cakey. To make it last longer, my sister applies a dusting powder, especially during the summers. And it works. A single layer of application gives medium coverage; therefore it is good to give two layers in order to get a perfect look. It is waterproof and stays for good 6-7 hours. Overall, it is worth to use. Nyx HD Photogenic Concealer Wand is a great concealer that comes in many shade options, has great coverage and flawless finish, the price is also very reasonable for such a good product. I highly recommend it to everyone!
Available in a wide range of colors
Creamy, matte finish
Enriched with vitamin E and anti-aging oxidants
After hearing lots of good reviews from my friends and colleagues, I made my mind to buy this matte lipstick from the brand 'Faces'. The shade which I bought was "in vogue 18". The packaging comes in a black colour long tube and the quantity is 2.5g. It costed me Rs. 799 which I felt a bit of costly. However, this matte lipstick is worth to use. It is a kind of deep brown shade. Being fair in complexion it looks good. It gives a matte-finished look after the application. It is long lasting and stays for nearly 6 hours on my lips despite having meals in between.
I wear it in every place - be it my workplace or any my casual outing. As per to the product claim, this lipstick is enriched with vitamin E and anti-ageing oxidants, therefore I have realised that my lips do not get dry after its application and I accept that even after the daily use I don't see any kind of allergy or reactions on my lips. The texture of this lipstick is smooth and as mentioned above, it is waterproof also. The coverage is absolutely perfect in comparison to any other lipsticks. Although I have from my friends that not all shades of this lipstick are pigmented thus need 2-3 swipes to give a perfect look.
Having said that, the shade which I am using is highly pigmented and gives my lips a perfect look in just one swipe. Lastly to say that this matte lipstick from 'faces' is worth buying if it is available in any lightening deal. This will no way disappoint its user. The shade 'in vogue 18' is also beautiful and looks perfect if you apply it neatly. Hence, I can say that I am loving this lipstick and this shade.
I gifted this lipstick of Colorbar to my mother on her birthday. She is fond of bright colours, therefore I chose the shade named 'Creme Cup 1'. The actual MRP of this product is Rs 325 but I got it on a good online discount of 10%. The quantity is 4.2g which I fell absolutely sufficient with this price. This particular shade is of soft brown coral and looks great in summer season too. However, it goes well in your evening look too. As the name implies, this lipstick has soft and smooth velvety touch and texture which glides smoothly on the lips.
In addition, it does not your lips feel chapped and dried. The best part of this lipstick is it does not settle down in fine lines, instead, it gives good coverage. My mother was more happy to feel this best part as her lips have fine lines due to the ageing. The staying power of this velvet matte lipstick is nearly 4 hours. Yes, it can survive the meals too and even after its fade, it gives a light pinkish stain on the lips. My mother has noticed this particular thing first just after day 1 of its use. The lips do not dry after its use although having a matte look. For more better results, it is good to apply lip liner suiting with the lip colour shade.
The packaging comes in as always classy with a silver metallic finish with a transparent cap. It is travel-friendly too. Overall, I am absolutely happy with my purchase and thankfully, my mom is happy too with this velvet matte lipstick. Definitely, I recommend this to every friend of mine who loves wearing bright coloured lipstick shades. I am sure you will love this lipstick as it deserves this sort of appreciation.
Easy to blend
Buttery soft texture
Pigmentation varies across the palette
No names to distinguish the shades
The applicator is not efficient enough.
This is my favourite palette of eyeshadows. I love nude shades of eyeshadow and this palette has got everything in it. I bought this palette someway around 6 months back, and I still love it dazzling colours of shade. It has 12 shades; each and every shade looks awesome when applied correctly and neatly. Not every shade is pigmented, hence falls off soon. Nevertheless, the Nudes Palette gives your eyes a plethora of luxurious shades, all in one palette. It enables you to create a new look every day. This gorgeous Maybelline Eyeshadow palette includes in-between neutral shades of subtle taupe shimmers, smooth beiges, greige tones and an intense black to define your most striking asset – your eyes.
Now, if I talk about the packaging then the packaging is quite the same as the previous eyeshadow palettes. Maybelline The 24K Nudes Eyeshadow Palette comes in a sleek golden coloured plastic case with a transparent lid. The clear plastic lid also lets you see the shades inside which is a good thing. The eyeshadow palette doesn’t come with any in-built mirror, but it does have a double-sided sponge applicator. Also, the packaging looks classy and the lid closes securely, making it sturdy as well. The total weight of this item is 9.07g and its MRP is Rs 900. This palette is good for people who go for simple shades yet it gives an elegant look. One can have light eye makeup as well as dark eye makeup for the wedding seasons too.
Only a few cons which I felt in this palette are few shades are quite similar in looks, and the applicator is not well efficient to give an even look to the shades when applied. In this case, it is good to apply with a separate individual applicator which you can buy individually from the market. Moreover, as the name suggests, it has only gold and smoky shades so if someone is looking for pinkish eye look then this palette of eyeshadow cannot serve the purpose. Therefore, it is good for only golds and smoky shades lovers. The powder texture is perfect and the neutral shades are universally flattering for all skin types. In short, A great product from Maybelline.
