Suitable for dry skin
Oily and heavy on skin
I cannot make up my mind about this product. I’m not sure if I like it or not. The product is exceptional in some cases and in others, it fails terribly.
This NYX Professional Makeup Gotcha Covered Concealer comes in a pretty black tube which is very convenient to use. It disperses the right amount of product every time. The concealer has a liquid consistency but is a bit oily as it is enriched with coconut oil. I have dry skin, so I don’t really mind oil-based products.
For me, a concealer is a must because I have deep dark under eye circles and honestly I have never come across a product that can actually conceal dark circles. I also have a few zits and acne scars across my face. I use this concealer only on the under eye dark circles and nowhere else. I feel because this product is oily, it might end up clogging pores and worsen my acne.
The coverage this product offers is unmatchable. It conceals dark circles like they don’t exist. Its lasting power is also commendable. It stays put for good 7 to 8 hours. But, here comes the downside.
Despite its excellent features, I am not sure of using it often because it’s very, very oily. I need a blotting paper just for this concealer. Also, it transfers. The coverage is great so transferring doesn’t really cause a problem. But because of the oiliness, I am not sure if I can continue using this product. Also during summers, this product should definitely be avoided.
Easy to blend
Good for everyday use
Perfect skin tone match
Honestly, I love this foundation! The water-based foundation is great for everyday use and does not feel heavy on the skin. It absorbs quickly and improves the texture of the skin. The packaging is also good. But, it is acnegenic.
I have acne-prone combination skin. I do thorough research of every cosmetic before I buy it so that I don’t regret my decision. This product, according to what the reviews and the official website have to say, is suitable for normal to oily skin and is non-acnegenic. I wish this were true.
I bought the shade 4, and it is a perfect match. The first time I used this foundation, I put it all over my face and neck using my fingers and blended with the beauty blender. My skin absorbed it pretty soon, and the coverage was good too.
After some time, the texture and appearance improved and it looked even better. My face looked so radiant and flawless and like I had nothing on it- like this was my natural skin. I used it over my moisturizer (without primer), and it lasted for about 5 to 6 hours, after which I could see it disappearing.
The next day, I had breakouts, and not 1 or 2, a total of 5 bumps all over my face. This was not a good sign. I used the foundation once again after a few days, and my acne came back.
There is absolutely nothing I don’t like about this MAC Matchmaster SPF 15 Foundation except for the fact that it is acnegenic and people with acne-prone skin should be very careful.
Perfect base for eye makeup
Doesn’t let powder eyeshadow fall out
Should be set with powder
I have seen people with severe dark circles. I am one of them. But, the difference between them and me is, I have dark circles both over and under my eyes. So, that makes my eyes look darker, and I could never use eyeshadows because the results would just disappoint me. I tried using concealer, but that didn’t help my eyeshadows. And then I came across NYX Professional Makeup Eyeshadow Base and thought to myself when nothing works, why will this work? Even then, I decided to give this a try and bought the shade Skin Tone for my wheatish skin.
For the first time, I took some product on the back of my nail, placed it on my eyelid, and blended with my finger. It looked nice, and then I applied my eyeshadow. For a couple of hours it was good, but then the base started creasing, and I took off the eyeshadow. I was so disappointed with this; I really wanted it to work for me.
Then, I gave it another try, applied the base, set it with a little loose powder, and then used the eyeshadow. And, it worked. The eyeshadow lasted on my eyes, without creasing or caking for about 6 hours, before I deliberately took it off. This base served every purpose. It covered the pigmentation, intensified the pigmentation, improved the lasting time, and suited my skin tone as well.
The packaging is also very cute and sturdy. I carry this around, everywhere I go. It is affordable, and the quantity is pretty good as you only need a little product to do your makeup. I’m pleased with this product and would recommend it to everyone.
Easy to apply
A bit expensive
This is easily one of the most pigmented eyeshadows I’ve ever had. I bought three shades - Charcoal, Camel, and Cocoa. I use Charcoal as an eyebrow filler because I have very naturally dark eyebrows, like the rest of my hair. And I also use Camel and Cocoa as eyeshadows because I have a warm skin tone. These two shades are perfect if you want a subtle but popping finish. I’m so glad that I found these two shades – they are just perfect for my skin tone.
The main thing I love about these Bobbi Brown eye shadows is how rich the pigmentation is. I usually don’t have to apply so much, especially during the daytime. But I do double or sometimes triple coat it when I want a dramatic smoky look. It’s really easy to blend. Sometimes, I just use my fingers instead of blending brushes, and they still turn out great.
These eyeshadows are super silky, which makes them easy to apply and blend. I’ve been using the same shades for a while now, at least for six months. I’m surprised that I haven’t finished up everything already. I get a lot of compliments from my girlfriends since I started using it. And now, I’m looking forward to trying out more shades.
Easy to wash off
Makes hair soft
Nourishes dry ends
Reduces hair fall to some extent
Controls frizziness and flyaways
Not travel-friendly packaging
Not effective on hair regrowth
Not effective in reducing graying
Before I bought Biotique Bio Bhringraj Therapeutic Oil For Falling Hair, I was already familiar with its brand. And there are some products which I have used and really liked. So going for this hair oil for my hair fall, I did not feel like I was taking any risk.
The hair oil comes in a typical Biotique semi-transparent plastic bottle. It can be taken around but you need to be careful because the oily is runny so there is a high chance it will leak. The texture of this oil is light, semi-water consistency which can be easily applied and washed off. And it has a very distinct herbal fragrance which I don’t prefer.
I use this hair oil four times a week. I apply it on dry scalp, massage it for ten minutes, keep it overnight and wash it off the next morning. I have been doing this for over two months now.
Biotique Bio Bhringraj Therapeutic Oil is one of the lightest hair oil I have used this far. It does not make my hair feel heavy or sticky. And the best thing about it is I can wash it off easily. I don’t need to use shampoo 2-3 times or wash my hair 2-3 times.
Every time I use this hair oil, my hair feels very soft, well nourished, and my hair fall is reduced to some extent. It helps me maintain my hair without frizziness and flyaways. I think for a hair oil to do these things is an accomplishment in itself.
However, its claims on hair regrowth and reducing graying is very far fetched. I have not seen any changes in that area. But then, I will continue to use it because I am satisfied with the results it is giving.
Improves hair’s health
No heavy chemicals
Adds shine and softness
Nourishes dry hair
Comes in only one size
I had bleached my hair to make it pink. And that taught me one life lesson – never to bleach my hair ever again. I enjoyed the pink hair just for three weeks, and then it washed off, leaving me with blonde corn hair. I got The Body Shop Grapeseed Glossing Serum, hoping it’ll do something.
I also got a trim because my tips were very dry. Now, along with other hair care products, The Body Shop Grapeseed Glossing Serum is something I use. Ever since I got it, I have been using it consistently, never missing a day.
The serum comes in a plastic bottle with a pump dispenser. The pump dispenser makes it a whole lot more convenient to use and is also travel-friendly. The fragrance of the serum leans towards fruitiness. It is not very strong, though.
After four weeks of use, my hair is in such a good place. I mean, the damage hasn’t vanished entirely, but the rubbery feeling on the strands has sobered down a lot. My hair looks shiny and healthy. But of course, when I touch it, the texture remains damaged. What I’m trying to say is, it gives an illusion of amazing hair. Which works well for me.
If this serum works this good on highly damaged hair, I can only imagine how it will be on natural hair. I am totally buying this serum over and over again.
Blends well with the natural smell of your body
Not overpowering fragrance
I am very particular about how I smell, so I make sure I smell good all the time. Even on days when I’m just at home, I need to smell fresh. I love CK One. It has been my signature smell for more than two years now.
This perfume has top notes of pineapple, green notes, mandarin orange, papaya, bergamot, cardamom, and lemon. Middle notes of nutmeg, violet, orris root, jasmine, lily-of-the-valley, rose, and freesia. And base notes of sandalwood, amber, musk, cedar, oakmoss, green tea, and green accord.
Once I started using it, I never felt like changing how I smell. It is one of the best perfumes I have used, and I’ll probably keep using it. After all, it is my signature fragrance.
I do wish though that the packaging is tweaked a little. The whole glass bottle looks classic, but the screw cap and the separate pump-spray is just a mess. After I place the pump-spray on the bottle, it is left with no cap to protect the pump from accidentally getting press. That’s why I can’t take it around.
If that can be rectified, I see no fault in it. Calvin Klein CK One Eau De Toilette is best for summer and spring.
Rejuvenates dull skin
After reading so many reviews and articles about the benefits of using a night cream, I finally gave in and bought Lotus Herbals Nutranite Skin Renewal Nutritive Night Cream. My skin is dry and even drier during the winter season. I went for this one after hearing good reviews about this night cream.
When I used it the very first day, I really liked the feel of it on my skin. The texture is rich, and it feels like silk on my skin. Blending all over is easy. Thankfully, this night cream does not leave white casts or any sort of residue.
Now it has been over a month, and the benefits I have received from it are amazing. Lotus Herbals Nutranite Skin Renewal Nutritive Night Cream deeply nourishes my skin, replenishing the dull dryness I had on my face. Now my skin is free from dryness, even drying this harsh winter season. I wake up every day looking vibrant (that’s what my husband says!).
This night cream comes in a glass jar, which is quite risky, considering my kids keep running around here and there all the time. Although I like it very much, I wish this night cream came with a tube packaging.
Does not dry out your skin
Effectively and effortlessly removes all makeup and impurities
Does not sting your eyes
The first time I used Bioderma Sensibio H2O Make-Up Removing Micelle Solution, I had a terrible experience. I had breakouts, greasiness, and even rashes. So, I stopped using it and went for different cleansers. But not so long ago, I realized I was not using an authentic one. It’s annoying how some sites fool their customers!
I had a change of heart when my best friend gifted me this micellar water along with other cosmetics in a hamper as a farewell gift. During that time I forgot about how bad of a reaction I had experienced. I was enlightened from the first use itself. I removed my makeup with such ease, as though there was some kind of magical spell on my cotton pad. Then when I looked closely, I recalled this product. It was obvious I was using a fake product before.
Since then this micellar water has won my heart, and now I know where to get it. I use it two times every day - once in the morning and once at night. I use it in the morning because it sets my skin and removes all the dirt from my pores that have the potential to become pimples later on. Then I follow it with a face wash. At night it removes all my makeup and also the impurities. I don’t need to wash my face after that because my skin feels squeaky clean.
I am in love with the effortless gentleness of this cleansing water. It does not strip off my natural moisture even if I use it every day. I also use it to remove my kajal, and it does not sting or irritate my eyes. Anyway, Bioderma Sensibio H2O Make-Up Removing Micelle Solution will be my first choice!
Makes the skin soft
Reduces acne and pimples
A little goes a long way
Does not make skin stretchy
One year back, I was suffering from a very severe acne problem. So much that I had to go to a dermatologist. I got this Avene Cleanance Cleansing Gel through her recommendations only along with several other prescriptions.
The cleanser comes in a transparent bottle which is very convenient and pleasing to look. Though it does not have a dispenser, it has a twisting cap that allows the right amount of usage. And the bottle lasts for so long. I can confidently say, solid four months even after daily use. So, the price is justified.
It has a gel consistency and forms a thin lather. The lather is not much, but it cleanses every ounce of dirt on my skin. And it is very easy to wash off as well.
Like I said earlier, I have been using it for over a month now, and the results have been an absolute delight. My acne is gone, my oiliness is well balanced. I use it twice a day. Thankfully, it does not make my skin stretchy. Instead, I am left with soft and subtle skin.
Of course, this cleanser alone was not the only reason for my skin to be acne-free. But it has helped a lot in clearing up my skin. I highly recommend Avene Cleanance Cleansing Gel.
Gives a dewy effect
Can be used as a primer
Offers sun protection throughout the day
Does not get washed off by sweat
Quantity is less
I have dry skin, so I was pretty sure it won’t work. Most of the sunscreens I have used are all either too greasy or too dry.
This L'Oreal Paris UV Perfect Super Aqua Essence SPF 50 though, is on the top list of my most favorite skin care products. I use it every day 10-15 minutes before heading out. The packaging is very apt. It comes with a long nozzle which makes the dispensing very easy. The size is also convenient if it is for traveling purpose but for everyday use, it comes in very small quantity. I think it will last just for a month or so.
I love to apply it on my face because it blends easily and gets absorbed in a blink. I am sorted for the day. Sometimes, I apply it over my foundation, and it works just as well as it alone. Not so much as a primer, but decently.
It is not waterproof or water resistant, but even when I sweat, I don’t feel like it is washed off. So that’s a good sign. But, when I look at how it is formulated, I see lots of alcohol. I am not an ingredient guru, so I can’t really say how negative it is. I just hope that it will not give me a long-term problem. Otherwise, for four months of use, it hasn’t reacted negatively on my skin.
Value for money
Provides sun protection
Provides deep nourishment
Keeps flakiness at bay
Not for oily skin
Makes oily skin greasy
My face is oily, but my legs and arms are super dry. I initially bought this Himalaya Herbals Protective Sunscreen Lotion for my face thinking it is a safe and soft sun-protecting lotion.
But when I used it for the first time on my face, it was horrific! My face became oilier than it already was. And I went out looking like that. It made me sweaty and my skin was greasy.
Still, I didn’t want to let the lotion lie on a corner of my dressing table, so the next day, I used it on my legs and arms. I tell you, that was how I should have started. It worked so well on my body. My dry skin felts deeply nourished, and the dry flakiness was long gone.
I am almost done with the bottle, and I am going to get another one. Not for my face, though.
Does not clog pores
Attractive and innovative packaging
Does not create a white cast on your skin
Does not stay for 16 hours
I am shamelessly going to say that I bought the Lakme Absolute Mattreal Skin Natural Mousse Foundation mostly because of how it looks. It is very innovative and unlike any other foundation I have ever come across. I already have a foundation that suits me well, so I bought this mousse merely out of amusement.
When I did use it though, it surpassed my expectations, and I had to say goodbye to my previous foundation. Even the texture glides on unlike any other foundation I have ever used. OK, I might sound like a caveman coming out of my cave for the first time. But really, this mousse is AMAZING!
I have oily skin with some pigmentation and acne marks around my cheeks and forehead. Thankfully, my acne days are long gone. Anyways, as I was saying, with my skin condition, this Lakme Absolute Mattreal Skin Natural Mousse Foundation works like it was made for my skin.
Its 16 hours claim is a little exaggerated, but it does stay for a long time. The texture of this mousse is highly pigmented and it really is feather-light. It is so much better than a foundation because it does not feel like there’s anything on your skin. This mousse gives me a natural look. So I wear it daily, everywhere.
My honest verdict of Lakme Absolute Mattreal Skin Natural Mousse Foundation is that it works very well on oily skin. It gives only medium coverage, so people with heavy marks and blemishes will not really like it. Otherwise, it works very well in giving you naturally flawless skin.
Will I repurchase it? Without a doubt! Thankfully, I don’t have many marks and blemishes, so it works very well on me. So yeah, I’ll definitely repurchase it.
Improves hair texture
Makes the hair soft and shiny
Does not lather well
Only one size available
No effect on hair fall
Living in the city is not an easy thing, especially with the pollution and hard water. My major problem is hard water. Over the years, it has caused hair fall, frizziness, split ends, and rough looking hair. I have almost stopped keeping check on my hair loss. Three months back, I went to a salon to get my hair trimmed, and the hairdresser advised me to try L'Oreal Professionnel Expert Density Advanced Shampoo. I purchased it immediately.
For the past three months, I have been using it almost daily. Sometimes I skip a day, and sometimes I use it every day. My hair is shoulder length so usually, I don’t require much shampoo to lather. But with this L’Oreal shampoo, I need to use a very good amount to get the lather I want.
I think the packaging could be a little more flexible with sizes. Though it looks standard, convenience wise, it is not very handy. Especially when I have to travel, the bottle is too bulky to carry it around my bag. The texture is transparent, which is quite pleasing for sore eyes. This shampoo has SLS, but the funny thing is, it does not form a good lather. So I need more quantity than usual to clean my scalp and hair properly.
Other than that, I really like the way it adds volume and density to my hair. Due to hair fall, my hair has become thin, and as I mentioned earlier, I don’t let my hair down. But now, because of the added volume, my hair doesn’t look so bad when I keep it loose. I didn’t see much change in my hair fall though.
Overall, it is a decent shampoo, and any hair type can use it. Just a little advice, don’t expect wonders from this shampoo.

Improves hair’s health
Makes the hair smooth and shiny
Needs to be used with the conditioner and the serum
After one and a half year of smoothening, my hair got very frizzy from the roots. It was difficult to manage, and my hair looked very ugly. To tame it, I had to try out different techniques. Like, oiling my hair every night, applying an ounce of serum, keeping on combing my hair and what not.
When I laid my eyes on this shampoo, I was hopeful. The packaging itself was very impressive. It has a very interesting curvy shape. The bottle is white which is opaque and has an open-flip cap. The consistency is a little runny, which I don’t really like.
After I started using it for three months, I started noticing my hair feeling soft. There wasn’t so much difference in the way it looked, but I liked how my hair felt. I purchased another bottle. After continuous use, the frizziness has visibly disappeared.
Af first, I was not very sure about spending money on the conditioner and the serum because I wasn’t sure if it’d be effective. But by the second month, I didn’t hesitate to purchase it. Now I use the shampoo along with the conditioner and the serum.
The combo of three has had many positive effects on my hair, and I’m loving it. Though it was slow to show results, it does not fail to give positive results eventually. All I had to do is wait.
No harmful chemicals
Deeply hydrates the skin
Requires 2-3 applications for dry skin
Winter was almost around the corner, and my skin already started showing signs of a desperate need to highly moisturize. My dry skin turns into the most unpleasing sight during winter. And not just my face, but even my elbows. For my elbows, I use any moisturizer, but for my face, I always look for those cold creams that don’t make my skin sticky.
The essential oils in Aroma Treasures Aloe Vera Gel are what made me buy it. I was already aware of the goodness of Aloe Vera, and in fact, I use Aloe Vera to treat my skin during summers.
Despite the tub packaging which is unhygienic, I am in love with this gel. I have plans to continue using it throughout summers as well.
I use it as my day cream as well as my night cream. I simply take a coin sized amount and spread it evenly with a little massage over my face and neck. I also use it for my elbows. Initially, it’s a bit sticky, but in about a minute, it quickly gets absorbed. During the day, I apply sunscreen over the gel to protect my skin from UV rays. But during night time, I sleep it off.
It has been almost two months and my skin feels so soft. It has never felt better. This winter, I didn’t have any cracks. I think it will work on cracked heels as well. And also, my elbows that look horrific during winter look good now.
A tip to use it: Wash your hands before application. Since the packaging is not very hygienic, the least you can do is maintain your hygiene and also that way, you might just avoid pimples.
Does not cause breakouts
Gives dewy effect
I used to wear a lot of foundation during my teenage days because I was getting a lot of breakouts. Things changed once I hit 24! I got introduced to tinted moisturizers. Eventually, I ended up with Bobbi Brown Nude Finish Tinted Moisturizer SPF 15 after many other trials with other brands.
I got this tinted moisturizer two months back from the store. I got it because, during the patch test, I saw the sheen it provided. Immediately, I fell in love with this moisturizer. Since then, I use it every day before I head out to work and also for night outs. It works so well both ways. I use my beauty sponge to blend it. I should add, though, a little more than a pea-size is required for my whole face, which is annoying because of its price tag.
Anyway, the results it gives me blinds all negativity. I thought I would need an extra moisturizer for nourishment, but this alone is enough for it. It’s like skin on skin. I mean I don’t seem to appear like I’m wearing any makeup at all. My skin looks so much flawless and healthy. Gone are the days when I used foundation to cover my acne.
I will highly recommend Bobbi Brown Nude Finish Tinted Moisturizer SPF 15 to all who have normal to dry skin. It will do wonders. If I were a person with oily skin type, I wouldn’t go for it because it is highly pigmented.
Gives a dewy effect
Brightens the skin tone
Significant improvement in skin’s health
Works on pigmentation
Needs extra moisturizer for dry skin
Unhygienic tub packaging
Clinique Even Better Skin Tone Correcting Moisturizer is not for dry skin, and I have dry skin, but I have been using it for eight months. Confused?
Well, I usually do not purchase anything which is not for my skin type. But during my purchase of Clinique Smart Night Custom-Repair Moisturizer for Dry to Combination Skin, I got free samples of this moisturizer. I guess the sales girl didn’t pay attention to the type of skin. Neither did I.
The first time I used it, it was drying, but I didn’t want to waste it. So I kept using it with an additional moisturizer. And trust me, I couldn’t un-see how well it was acting on my skin. It works great alone too, but since my skin is super dry, I need that extra moisturization.
I bought the tub packaging because I wasn’t aware of the availability of pump dispenser packaging. Otherwise, I would have gone for it. It smells like sunblock, but once it's on the face for a while, it fades away.
Anyway, after religious use for eight months, my skin looks more even, and the pigmentation I had is fading. I also get a healthy glowing look. I think that’s because I have dry skin.
It is pricey, but you get an enormous amount of product, and I just need a little of it to cover my whole face and neck. I am loving how great it is working on me. It is totally worth the price for me.
Improves skin’s health
Can be used under makeup
Keeps shine at bay
Control oil secretion
My first Body Shop product was Strawberry Lip Butter. I got it when I went to Bangalore for the first time during my teenage days. And since then, my love for TBS has remained constant. I have used several products over the years and Tea Tree Mattifying Lotion is one of them. My love story with this lotion started over two years ago.
I got attracted to The Body Shop Tea Tree Mattifying Lotion in my search for a nice moisturizer that won’t make my skin oily than it already is and also takes care of my few blemishes.
I first started using it during the day before I left for work. That was during winter. On application, it gives a mild cooling sensation which feels fresh. Just a pea-sized amount sorts my day. My shiny nose, forehead, and chin stay matte for a good amount of time. But around mid-afternoon, I need to powder a little bit for touch up, and that’s about it.
I didn’t dare using it during the summer season because of its lack of sun protection. But then, the control of my oil secretion wasn’t any good as it was while I was using TBS Tea Tree mattifier. So I started using it under my CC cream. And guys, it was a brilliant idea! The CC cream has the SPF my skin needs, and a matte finish from The Body Shop Tea Tree Mattifying Lotion.
My way of using this mattifier remains the same. These two years of using it constantly has really improved my skin’s texture and health. I haven’t had any breakouts or any other skin problem yet. This is one of the best, especially for oily skin.
The tube packaging looks cheap.
Over the years, I have tried so many face washes for my oily skin and pimples, but at the end when the bottle or the tube is about to get over, I always feel like changing it. Sometimes I don’t even finish the face wash. I have never come across any face wash I fell in love with.
But one day, as I was looking for another face wash, I happened to stand in front of the Himalaya Herbals products section. I selected Himalaya Herbals Purifying Neem Face Wash. This gel-based face wash is what I was longing for. It controls my oiliness and gives me a fresh look. And after every wash, I feel refreshed and so satisfied.
I use other products for my pimples so I can’t entirely give the improvement credit to just this face wash, but I will say that it is encouraging it. And that is enough. Finally, I, after such a long search have found my soulmate!
Makes your skin glow
Nourishes your skin
Reduces dry patches
Not suitable for oily skin
I have dry skin that tends to get stretchy on the cheeks and form dry patches during the winter season. So much so that when a cold breeze on my face, my cheeks hurt if I don’t moisturize them properly. I was never satisfied with the cold cream I was using so I needed an upgrade. And Lakme Absolute Argan Oil Radiance Oil-In-Creme came as a blessing.
For the whole winter season last year, I was religiously using this cream, and now that winter is here, I have gone back to it. I remember being in love with it. I’ll tell you why.
So like I said, I have super dry skin, and it needs every bit of moisture, especially in this dry season. This year, I have been using this cream for about three weeks, and my statement remains the same - I still love it.
The packaging of this cream screams “standard.” The golden color makes it look luxurious. The cream is beige, and its texture is richly creamy, like vanilla mousse. Even its fragrance is pleasing – it is mild and it fades away a few minutes after application.
My dry skin receives it like air! After every application, my skin feels deeply nourished. During the winter season, even if you don’t see the sun at all, your skin still needs every bit of sun protection. Because the sun is like, “You can’t see me, but I see you, girl.” And apparently winter tanning is the worst.
Thankfully, Lakme Absolute Argan Oil Radiance Oil-In-Creme got this covered for me as well. Nourishment + sun protection = perfection!
I highly recommend this product to people with dry skin. Oily skin ladies, do yourself a favor and skip it.
Refreshing eucalyptus fragrance
Moisturization fades away after few hours
Not effective on dry skin
I almost fell in love with this moisturizing cream. I say this because, when I first applied it, the cream felt great! It sat on my skin so smoothly, and my skin was so soft to touch. But then after two to three hours, the effect went away, and my skin was back to normal.
The whole reapplying thing does not work for me, so I am disappointed with the moisturizing cream. I still use it. Not on my face, but on my hands as a hand cream because I like the smell of eucalyptus.
Makes the skin soft
My skin is oily on the face and super dry on the rest of the body. So, for deep moisturization, I buy the bigger tubs to use it on my body. I don’t use it on my face because it makes it greasy and sticky. But on my body, it is the best thing.
The deep nourishment takes away all the dryness and flakiness. It has a distinct smell, but it is not overwhelming. It makes my skin so soft and keeps it nourished throughout the day.
My relatives came to my house last summer, and my cousin sister used my Patanjali shampoo. She said asked me if it is really an all natural product. So we both sat down and checked the ingredients. That was the first time I read the ingredients of any product. Usually, I believe what they advertise.
So, my cousin sister and I sat there talking about how we get fooled by advertisements. This product from Baba Ramdev is not 100% herbal. And, despite its claim of using only natural ingredients, it is also infused with many chemicals. What it states is untrue. I am very disappointed and somehow feel like a fool for not checking it before I purchased it.
Removes oiliness and greasiness
Does not lather well
Over the years, I colored my hair in various colors, and I enjoyed that phase. I was young, wild and free. But now, my hair has become so sensitive and out of health.
I purchased this bottle of shampoo from Himalaya eight months back. So, this review is going to be a very experienced and genuine one. I have oily hair, and since I am a working woman, I wash my hair every day to look fresh and presentable. Before this shampoo, even after a wash, I had to tie my hair in a high bun because it gets too frizzy. But now, I leave it open whenever I want to.
After the first month of use, I started noticing my hair getting smooth and soft. And since then, the effect started becoming prominent, and now, my hair feels rejuvenated. It is frizz-free, does not tangle much, and my dull hair got back its shine. My hair did not react negatively to this shampoo, and I’m sure it has to do with this shampoo being chemical-free.
I have to use more amount than usual because I have long hair and this shampoo does not lather well like the other shampoos I have used. But that’s probably because it is sulfate-free. So, I don’t mind.
This shampoo is very good for sensitive and damaged hair. I will highly recommend it.
Long shelf life
Does not cause breakouts
Suitable for all skin types
Nourishes the skin
Deeply cleanses the skin
A little goes a long way
I am in love with this line of products from Lakme. It is young and fresh and very appealing. I first got to know about this product through their ad on television. It was very refreshing and fun to watch. Immediately after the ad ended, I was left wanting to use it myself. Within the next few days, I got both the peach and strawberry flavors. I am going to review the peach flavor first because that’s my favorite fruit.
The packaging comes in a transparent tube, but because of the color of the formula, the tube looks orange. The tube has a white flip open cap. I would say the packaging is convenient and hygienic and gives control over the application to avoid wastage.
The gel consistency of the face wash makes it look like syrup. It forms a very good lather, but that’s probably because of the presence of SLS, which is a minus point for me. I prefer less lather over the presence of SLS, any day.
After use, my skin feels rejuvenated and fresh. It does offer pretty decent cleaning. Like it claims, my skin feels free of all dirt and impurities. I especially like the mild cooling sensation on my face after application. And the fragrance is very alluring. I think that’s the cherry on top for this line of products.
If I were asked whether I'd recommend this face wash to others, I would definitely say yes. It is a simple face wash that cleanses the skin thoroughly and controls oil. And coming at a very reasonable price, it is a face wash all girls should use at least once.
Makes hair silky and soft
Cleanses the scalp very well
Detangles the hair
Controls the frizz
Fragrance lingers even after washing
Tresemme Keratin Smooth Infusing Shampoo comes in an attractive red bottle. The packaging is very convenient and fuss-free. The texture is the same with any other shampoo. The smell of the shampoo is appealing, and it lingers even after I rinse my hair. After a day as well, the scent stays, which is a plus point for me.
My scalp is very dry, which makes my hair rough and kinky. I always tie it back and leave my hair open only when I’m about to go to bed. It is quite depressing if I think about it for long.
But after I started using this shampoo, my hair and my scalp feel squeaky clean, and it feels nourished. I have seen visible changes after I started using this shampoo. And I know even if I use it excessively, I’m still in safe hands because of the trusted brand Tresemme is.
The thing that drew me to this shampoo is the presence of Keratin and Argan oil. I am glad that this shampoo didn’t disappoint me. Now after three months of use, I claim that I’m still going to use it again because my hair never felt better.
The shampoo itself does a very decent job but after the first month I started using it with Tresemme Keratin Smooth Infusing Conditioner, and my hair never felt so pampered. It is at its best, and finally, I can leave my hair open.
I also oil my hair two times every week.
If you have a very dry scalp and frizzy hair, I would suggest you try my regimen of oiling, shampoo, and conditioner. STAY AWAY FROM BLOW DRYING!
Moisturizes your skin
Can make your skin oily
Takes to blend in and get absorbed
I only trust natural products when it comes to my skin care regime. So when I got to know about Patanjali Beauty Cream, I was thrilled. Not just because it is Baba Ramdev’s product but also when I looked into the ingredients, all I saw were herbs I was familiar with as a child and had been used by my grandma and my mom. So I knew I had to try it.
After applying it for a while, I would say my expectations were too high. But it starts with the texture and ends there. The very first time I applied it, the texture was too creamy and thick. I had to rub it for a while to even it out. It’s almost like boroline. But then I won’t deny how good my skin feels as I have been consistent in applying it both as my day cream and night cream. I don't see dark spots anymore, and the fine lines near my eyes are gone. Thankfully I can still say that natural products are the best.
Gets easily absorbed
Has SPF 24
Lightens the skin tone
Makes the skin soft
Hydrates the skin
Removes fine fines
I would like to believe that I have the driest skin! My legs are an extreme case, but since I’m here to talk about my face skin, I shall leave that discussion for a later time. My skin needs a regular moisturizer even during summer. Otherwise, it gets flaky and unnecessarily baked.
To cope with this issue, I was looking for a solution that could give me hydration as well as glow.
I grabbed Olay Natural White Glowing Fairness Cream with SPF 24 a year back and ever since, I have been using this day cream only. Over the year, I have benefitted more than this product is worth. To start with, this day cream is the perfect moisturizer for dry skin as it hydrates the skin and offers sun protection.
It comes in a sophisticated white container with a pearly screw lid. The texture is light, cold, and creamy. It blends well and is easily absorbed into the skin. The cream is off-white, and with just a small amount, it covers the whole face. The formula is chilled, so on an application, it feels fresh.
After application, my skin feels light and fully nourished. It does not make my skin oily but gives the right glow I want. Oily skin types can also use this cream and benefit from it as it does not make the skin oily.
After a year of use, my skin feels healthy, and the texture of my skin is soft and youthful. The fine lines I had have disappeared, and my skin tone has lightened. It does not brighten the complexion, but it improves the natural complexion.
The best thing I like about this cream is that it has SPF 24, which is not harsh on the skin, and the extra work of applying another sunscreen is discarded.
Now for the things I don’t like about this product. The packaging can be improved with a more hygienic container and also the quantity. The price is towards the expensive side, so not many can afford it. But other than that, I have no problem with this fairness cream.
