Suitable for all skin types
Easy to use and blend
Does not hide under-eye dark circles
Most foundations don’t claim what they do. And these days, every product claims a ton of things, leaving us expecting more and more from a simple product. One such product with a great many claims is the Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation SPF 15. I had to give it a try, just to find out if it actually does what it says.
I instantly fell in love with this formulation. I am not saying that it does everything it says, but, it is simply amazing. For my oily skin, this water-based, lightweight, non-greasy formula is like a holy potion. I love wearing it all day. No one can see and tell that you have something on. On days I need heavy makeup, it blends seamlessly with my concealer and looks like second skin. It lasts about 7 to 8 hours which is pretty good for me.
Although the coverage is very sheer, it makes your skin appear healthy and glowing, and that is what I love about it. It does not hide my dark circles, but as I said, just makes your skin look healthy. I prefer this foundation for everyday use. But, because it’s so expensive, I use it sparingly. I would be happy to find something that works like this but is not so expensive.
The packaging is convenient, and just one to two pumps are enough for your entire face and neck. I share this pack with my sister (same skin tone) who has an entirely different skin type. And it works well for both oily acne-prone and dry skin!
If you do not have significant imperfections, you should definitely give this foundation a try.
Easy to apply
Limited shade range
Not easily blendable
A little overpriced
No coverage for dark circles and dark spots
Since its launch, the entire range of Lakme Absolute has been my favorite. The products, their quality, packaging, everything has always been so on point. And when the Lakme Absolute White Intense Concealer Stick SPF 20 was launched, I did not think twice before buying it. But it was such a disappointment.
First of all, there are only three shades available. How did Lakme think of covering only three skin tones? Anyway, I was still hopeful about the product, so I bought the one which was the closest shade to my skin tone - Honey.
I have deep dark under eye circles. This concealer, which was the closest match to my skin tone (not the exact), left a whitish cast on my dark circles, accentuating them, and did nothing to hide them. The concealer offers almost no coverage for dark circles. It can be used on lighter dark spots, but nothing else.
I was impressed with the stick applicator, but the formula is too dry. Even for my oily skin type, I cannot use the concealer without a layer of moisturizer underneath. Blending is also tricky as it sets right after application. The play time is limited, and you have to hurry up. Overall, a very bad product from Lakme. The limited shade range makes it worse. For those of you with no dark circles and only a few dark spots to cover, this product might be useful. Also, for those with dry skin, do not think about trying this product out.
Controls hair fall
Promotes hair growth
No harmful chemicals
Softens rough hair
I use coconut oil to tackle my hair problems. But it was never enough. So I started using Forest Essentials Hair Vitalizer Bhringraj to fill in the gap.
Forest Essentials Bhringraj Hair Vitalizer comes in a plastic classic Forest Essentials bottle. The bottle has a spray which is different from any hair oils I have used this far. The spray dispenses the product in the correct quantity and makes the application so easy and convenient.
This vitalizer has a strong herbal fragrance. Initially, I did not like the scent, but now, I am used to it. However, for a sensitive nose, it might be a problem. But then again, the smell does not stay on for long so it won’t be much of a problem.
I started using Forest Essentials Hair Vitalizer Bhringraj after every hair wash, which is three times a week. I simply part my hair and spray the oil on my scalp and the lengths of my hair and massage for 10 minutes. After the massage, I let it be. It is very lightweight, so it does not weigh my hair down or make it greasy.
I could see some difference in my hair length within just one month. I was quite surprised myself. I was expecting it to take care of my hair fall and roughness (which it did) but wasn’t expecting hair growth at all. I am in awe of Forest Essentials for formulating this hair vitalizer.
I am almost running out of my first bottle, so I will be purchasing it soon again. Finally, a product that truly does what it claims. I will recommend it to others for sure.
A little goes a long way
Does not stain clothes
Sensual and luxurious fragrance
Not a universal scent
Is Carolina Herrera Good Girl Eau De Parfum any different from other perfumes?
I always have a complaint about perfumes, and that is, after 10-15 minutes of spray, I don’t smell them on me anymore. Others might get the smell but, after paying a good fortune, I would like to smell it on me too.
This Carolina Herrera Good Girl Eau De Parfum is one of a kind. It follows me wherever I go. When I spritz it, the entire room is filled with its sensuality. It definitely makes its presence known.
Though you can sniff it out from a distance, Carolina Herrera Good Girl Eau De Parfum does not get to my head. It subtly lingers around you. The scent is very feminine and floral.
It is a classic and timeless piece of art! The smell is intoxicating, screaming elegance and luxury.
Not long-lasting effect
I first laid my eyes on Marc Jacobs Daisy Eau De Toilette Spray on an Instagram post from my favorite blogger. She posted this beautiful aesthetical picture of this daisy perfume. I didn’t know anything about its fragrance, but I really wanted to get one for myself. And I did. The price was jaw-dropping.
I still went ahead with it because the scent was irresistible. The floral notes of it reminded me of spring and cupcakes. Now some sweet smelling fragrances get overbearing as they settle, which is very unpleasant and sometimes, I get a headache. It isn’t the case with this Marc Jacobs Daisy EDT.
The packaging is beautiful. I really like the daisies on the cap – it makes my vanity look girly. I went ahead with the rollerball tube as well because the big bottle can’t be carried around in my handbag. The rollerball comes in handy when I want to freshen up.
By that, I mean, though the smell is lovely, it does not last the whole day on me, so I need a touch up with the rollerball. I don’t mind doing that because I really like the smell of this perfume, but it would have been perfect if it lasted for a more extended period.
Does not cause breakouts
Good for oily skin
Makes the skin soft and plump
Does not brighten skin tone
I started taking my skin seriously only after experiencing a breakout crisis two years back. Since then, I wash my face daily two times, remove my makeup thoroughly with cleanser, use sunscreen every day, scrub once a week and use face mask twice a week. Quite a regimen, right? L'Oreal Paris White Perfect Night Cream is the new addition to my skin care routine.
I used a different night cream earlier, but I was not entirely satisfied with it, so I thought to try this one. L'Oreal Paris White Perfect Night Cream comes in a glass jar, which I am not so fond of. But then, I have not seen any night cream that comes in a different packaging. So I make sure my hands are clean before taking a scoop of it.
I have been using this night cream religiously for over three weeks now. I have oily skin which is very prone to acne. If you have a similar skin type, L'Oreal Paris White Perfect Night Cream is a safe night cream to use.
As I have acne prone skin, I felt like I was taking a huge risk with this night cream. But thankfully, it did not cause breakouts. It makes my skin soft and my cheeks plumper.
Regarding its whitening claim, I have not seen any difference (disappointing).
Will I repurchase L'Oreal Paris White Perfect Night Cream? Probably not. I do like how it hydrates and makes my skin soft. But, there are better products available.
Does not cause breakouts
Gets absorbed quickly
Suitable for oily skin
Does not leave any residue
Assured results with consistent use
Does not lighten skin tone
As a woman in my mid-40s with oily skin, I try to maintain healthy skin. Over the years, I have tried several different products, especially night creams, but I usually end up disappointed by how heavy those products felt on my skin immediately after applying and also later on.
I still kept searching for one that suits me because, with my age and the wisdom it comes with, I stand firm in stating that everyone should use a night cream to care for your skin. It is way more effective than any other skin care regime. So it is a must!
When I first got Lakme Absolute Perfect Radiance Skin Lightening Night Creme, I did not have many expectations from it considering its cheap price. But after using it for a while, I love it! I use it along with the day creme. And I have to say I will keep using this cream until I find a better replacement.
The best thing about Lakme Absolute Perfect Radiance Skin Lightening Night Creme is that it doesn’t feel heavy on the skin and my skin absorbs it really well. My face doesn’t feel unbearably oily when I wake up in the morning. Pairing it with the day creme is a bonus they work really well together and I can really see the changes on my skin. It’s always nice to wake up with smooth and clear skin. I would gladly recommend this product to whoever has a similar skin type to mine.
Don’t forget what I mentioned about the importance of a night cream. Trying using one yourself. Choose it according to your skin type and see the differences for yourself.
True to its claims
A little product goes a long way
Does not lather much
Before I start with the review, let me first explain how my skin is. First of all, it is unpredictable. Some days it looks radiant, and the other days it is filled with pimples. With that thought, I purchased Neutrogena Deep Clean Facial Cleanser because it has salicylic acid. This acid is known to be a good acne controlling substance.
This face cleanser also claims to maintain the skin’s natural moisture. All of this was looking in favor of me. So I was pretty hyped about it. I love pump dispenser packaging; it just makes life so much easier. Thankfully, it comes in a smaller packaged as well, so when I travel, I grab that size only. I don’t know how travel-friendly the bigger bottle is. I don’t want to risk it. But the smaller one is perfect for that purpose.
I started using it last year, and after every use, my skin feels soft and supple. It does not dry out my skin. However, it does make my skin feel a little tight. But it does not irritate my skin or cause any breakouts. That is the very reason I still use it.
Also, people who prefer foaming cleansers should skip it because it does not form much lather. So it’s like using a slippery liquid. But don’t be sad about it. It’s just the way it is. Other than that, it removes all the impurities very thoroughly.
This facial cleanser is a safe bet that I can assure you of. Peace out!
Glides on effortlessly
High-quality sun protection
Does not leave a whitish cast
I have been using Lotus Herbals Safe Sun 3-in-1 Matte-Look Daily SunBlock PA+++ for over a month now, and let me tell you guys of how lovely it is.
First, it comes in a hard but easily pressable orange plastic tube with an open-flip cap. The whole packaging is light and can be carried around anywhere effortlessly. The open-flip cap is tightly secured so there is no need to worry about spillage. The texture looks like a foundation, which is where many of us get an idea of it being a foundation or a BB cream.
But no, it is a tinted moisturizer that gives sheer coverage and nothing more. The composition of the cream is smooth with a runny consistency. On application, it glides effortlessly and gets absorbed rapidly without being greasy.
I use it every day without fail, and the results are amazing! It makes my skin delicately smooth with a matte finish. One trick I use to prolong its duration is to set it with loose powder. This small trick guarantees longer stay.
I like this sunscreen very much because it doesn't make my face whitish. It looks good on my dusky skin and accentuates my complexion attractively. I will be purchasing it again and again.
Gives a natural finish
Can get cakey
I got this Maybelline New York Dream Cushion Fresh Face Liquid Foundation solely for one purpose. And that is for touch-ups. My skin falls in the dry category and to touch-up with a compact is a horror. So I thought, this foundation will be a good replacement.
Was I right in doing so? Definitely! In fact, I abandoned my regular foundation because of this. Maybelline New York Dream Cushion Fresh Face Liquid Foundation is so easy to use. I don’t use the cushion that comes with the foundation, because I prefer a buff brush. The cushion also does a good job in blending, but a puff brush is my personal preference.
This foundation is a creamy foundation that gives a sheer coverage with a dewy finish. This one makes me look more natural. It gives an illusion of a glassy flawless skin.
Another thing I like about it is, it comes with SPF, so without any worry, I head out. The open pores I have around my nose are also blurred, and it stays like that for a decent five to six hours. For a price it comes at, I think it works way beyond than it. But the quantity is a little too less.
Those with heavy marks and blemishes will not like it as much as I do, because it will not give enough coverage.
Advice: It is better not to try to build for more coverage because you will end up looking cakey. If you are looking for a high coverage foundation, skip the Maybelline New York Dream Cushion Fresh Face Liquid Foundation. Otherwise, this is a keeper! It is ideal for young women who want medium coverage.
Imparts a subtle glow
Offers medium coverage
Does not get cakey
Variety of shades available
Gets oxidized after few hours
I have jumped from one foundation to another. I love makeup, and I apply it every day. My forte is a natural look.
The shade that suits my medium skin tone is Golden sand. I started using L'Oreal Paris Infallible 24H Foundation because of how long it sits on my skin. My skin type is a combination with blemishes on my cheeks and chin.
I use it on a cleansed face every morning with a damp makeup sponge. The packaging is a treat! A drug store foundation with a pump dispenser. Even some expensive renowned brands don’t have that. When will they get it? The pump-top is of good quality too, and that makes it easy to dispense just the right amount I desire to use. So a total 100 points for the packaging.
I just take one pump on my sponge and blend it all over. It gives me a semi-coverage with a little matte finish. It adds a subtle glow, so it does not look cakey. Compared to other foundations I have used so far, this Infallible foundation last longer. Not entirely for 24 hours but for quite a long time.
Do I have any complaints about it? Actually, I do. Despite having lots of positive effects, I don’t like how it oxidizes after a few hours. It starts to make my skin look soggy. I brush it up with my compact, but even if my face looks fine after the touch-up, it makes my skin feel heavy. I become restless to wash off my face.
Other than that, this L'Oreal Paris Infallible 24h Foundation is a very good replacement for expensive brands.
Forms good lather
Cleanses scalp well
Retains hair color
Does not deliver on all its claims
My whole family has oily scalp issues, so a bottle of shampoo barely lasts a month in my house. The only positive thing that has come of it is I have colored my hair multiple times over the years without my hair becoming dry. My hair is also very obedient when it comes to styling. That’s about it. Anyways, in recent months my hair has been feeling very brittle and sensitive. I suppose it comes with age and over-coloring?
I have known about L'Oreal Paris Colour Protect Shampoo for a really long time but never felt the need to use it. But I needed a remedy for my oily scalp. So, I am on my second bottle now. This shampoo comes in a very smartly designed container that helps prevent any misuse and is easy to carry around.
I use this shampoo every day because of my oily scalp. Now talking about its results, I am not 100% certain. I mean, it cleanses my scalp very well, and so far I haven’t faced any side effects. But regarding the sensitivity of my hair, it is still the same. I can’t use a curling iron anymore. After my second bottle, I am going to try out some more color-care shampoos.
But I think regardless of how effective it is for me, it is a pretty affordableshampoo, and for those who can’t afford expensive color protection products, this is a good start. I also want to point out that my hair color hasn’t faded and still looks very shiny. So in that area, L'Oreal Paris Colour Protect Shampoo gets my thumbs up.
Cleanses the scalp very well
Does not work on severe hair fall
I have been facing major hair fall issues, and for that, I have tried multiple home remedies. But since I am a working woman, it becomes almost impossible to follow a routine.
I came across Himalaya Herbals Anti-Hair Fall Shampoo, and I was hopeful that it would solve my issues. After all, Himalaya Herbals is a popular brand. So, I didn’t have second thoughts while purchasing it.
All my expectations went down the drain after three months of use. The bottle was almost running out, but still, I had no results. Every time I ran my fingers through my hair, I always had strands on my fingers. It was getting frustrating for me, so I asked around, and some of my friends were actually using it. Half of them had good things to say about it, while some didn’t. And then I realized that this shampoo is just another shampoo that has big claims.
It does the cleaning of the scalp well and has a pleasant fragrance. And maybe even works for those people who suffer from mild hair fall. But for a person like me who has major issues, this shampoo is definitely not a solution. It does not reduce hair fall at all!
Reduces oiliness on scalp
Softens the hair texture
Does not lather much
Smells like beer
Honestly, I bought this shampoo because I thought it looked different and new. I remember hearing somewhere about the benefits of beer when used on hair. So, I didn’t really give much thought to it and bought it.
The packaging looks like an actual beer bottle. I’m a total fan of it. However, its gel-based consistency does not form much lather. I have to use more than the required amount to get the desired lather. That is one minus point for me.
I have been using this shampoo for one year now. After I started using this shampoo, I stopped using any other shampoo. My hair has become strong, healthy, and bouncy. Initially, the smell was too strong for me. It smells exactly like beer. So I wondered if I will smell like an alcoholic if I use it daily. But my friend confirmed that it is not so. The smell fades away after 2-3 hours.
My hair is oily, and this shampoo does a very good job of cleansing my hair and scalp of all the dirt and impurities. It controls my oiliness as well. I have changed a couple of shampoos in between, but I always end up with Park Avenue Beer Shampoo. Now I can confidently settle for this.
Controls hair fall
Improves hair texture
Makes hair soft and shiny
Does not control dandruff
Not for daily use
I started using Schwarzkopf Bonacure Repair Rescue Reversilane Shampoo when I straightened my hair three years back. Now, my straight hair is gone, but I continue to use this shampoo. Just the shampoo itself is enough to keep my hair sane.
Over the years, this shampoo has repaired my damaged hair. When my hair was straightened, it went through a lot of processes to look good. If not for this shampoo, I think my hair would have been in a very bad state now.
Since I like how this shampoo works on me, I still use it as my regular shampoo. It does the cleaning job very well. I love how it smells. I use it twice a week because I have dry hair. Even after two days, the smell lingers and makes it seem like I just had a hair bath.
Once, during summer, I had a weekly event, so I used to wash my hair every day. Not because of oiliness or anything but because the weather was hot and my scalp just felt heavy. Anyway, during that week, I had some trouble with this shampoo. My dry scalp felt even drier and started itching.
I believe this happened because I used it every day. The next week, I went back to my normal routine of using it just twice a week, and it worked perfectly fine.
Other than that, I had/have no issues with it. It is one of the best shampoos for chemically treated hair.
Bobbi Brown Extra Illuminating Moisture Balm is the best purchase of this year for me. I bought the Bare Glow shade five months back to use as a highlighter. But this winter, I have been obsessed with crystal clear glowy skin look. Here is how I liked it, how I am using it, and what I am doing to get that crystal clear glowing skin.
So, this moisturizer comes in a pump dispenser, which is convenient and hygienic. It smells a little herbal but it fades away once applied. The size of the packaging makes it travel-friendly. More or less a thumbs up for the packaging.
Now, as I said, I bought this mainly for highlighting purpose. Back then, I used to apply it over my foundation on the points I wanted to highlight, like my cheekbones, nose, and upper lip. It does wonders! It highlights beautifully and gives a high-end finishing touch to my makeup.
Since I am into the no-makeup-look these days, what I do is, I mix a little amount of this illuminating moisturizer with my CC cream and blend it all over my face. This works because I have dry skin. I would not recommend oily or maybe even combination skin type to use it this way.
Every time I use it that way, my skin looks beautiful! Almost like a Korean beauty. This moisturizer does not have sparkles or thick shimmers. It has a natural glow which gives an expensive look. No wonder it’s expensive.
From the day I have been using this moisturizer, I have been satisfied. It was totally worth it. I still do wish for the price to go down though.
Makes the skin soft
Does not cause breakouts
Can be used under any product
Not for oily skin
I got this Bobbi Brown Extra Repair Moisturizing Balm SPF 25 in a very funny way. Last month, I went to their store to get a moisturizer for my dry skin. I liked all the other moisturizers, but this extra repair moisturizing balm stood out.
I chose this Bobbi Brown Extra Repair Moisturizing Balm, and I was ready to purchase it. My jaws dropped when I was told the price. It would have been the most embarrassing moment if I had not bought it because of the other customers there and also after trying out so many different moisturizers. I’m sure you can feel me.
Anyway, this is how I got it. I was praying that it’ll work on me, but after a month I came to terms with the price tag.
I use it daily before I head out. I also use it under my foundation on night outs and CC cream as well. It is light, so it goes on smoothly on my skin. My skin has not drastically changed, but I do notice a visible improvement in the texture and smoothness. I have dry skin so the moisture it provides me with is also the right amount which does not feel heavy at all.
Overall, I am happy that it worked for me though I wish it came at a lower price.
Value for money
Makes hair smooth, silky, and shiny
Nourishes your scalp
Improves the texture of your hair
I have always loved the products The Body Shop comes up with. Everything smells wonderful! My first product from TBS was their strawberry lip butter. Ever since then, I have been in love with TBS. I wish I could upgrade my entire self-care routine to TBS products. But the hard truth is, every product is costly. Maybe that’s because of its quality.
Anyway, when I first purchased the Banana Truly Nourishing Shampoo, I was very excited. My reason for choosing this specific shampoo was because of my flat hair and also because of its fragrance. It smells exactly like banana, maybe even better. The consistency though is a little runny which I don’t like very much.
Other than that, every time I use it (which is twice a week), my dry hair feels like it just woke up from the dead.
The fragrance lingers for a long time, and I often get compliments on it. My flat hair becomes voluminous. The texture? Oh my! The softest my hair has ever been. I love this shampoo.
This shampoos from TBS is a must-try!
Long shelf life
I celebrated my 25th birthday this year. I was advised to take care of my skin because apparently, signs of aging start from this period on. So I went to Health and Glow, and they spoke highly of Ponds Age Miracle Cell ReGEN Day Cream SPF 15 PA++. I returned home with it and soon after, I started using this cream. It has been seven months now.
This baby pink cream comes in a fancy thick glass jar. I like the packaging but honestly, I have seen better. Since it is made of glass, there is a risk that it might fall and break. Also, it is bulky, so for me, it is not travel friendly. I also don’t like the tub packaging because it is unhygienic.
Why am I still using it? Well, despite the packaging issues I have, I really like this cream. It’s an anti-aging cream with SPF 15 PA++.
Every morning, I use it after my face wash. I just take a scoop with my washed finger and apply it all over.
Right after I blend it, the cream readily gets absorbed and I feel like it goes deep within because my skin gets proper nourishment and a hint of sheen. My combination skin has been responding to this cream very positively.
The cream claims to renew the skin and erase fine lines and wrinkles. Well, I don’t have wrinkles yet nor do I have fine lines so I can’t say much. But I have this confidence that this cream is going to help or maybe even helping me already.
In seven months, I am on my second tub now, so this cream is long lasting. And also, recently, I have observed my pores on my nose area disappearing. I think it is because of this cream that my pores have smoothened down.
Overall, until I find a better anti-aging cream, I am going to stick to this.
Easy to apply
A little goes a long way
Deeply moisturizes skin
Only for winter
The vibrant blue color caught my attention when I first saw this product. And since it was winter already, I didn’t hesitate to get it for myself. I have been using it for more than two weeks now, and I will say that Lakmé has done a very decent job with this moisturizer.
First, the packaging is royal! I love the sophisticated glossy jar and the creamy baby pink texture. It is very clean and easy to use. Though it is unhygienic to always scoop the cream with the fingers, I usually use Lakmé Skin Gloss Winter Intense Moisturiser after I wash my face, so that way, my finger stays clean. And because of its size, this cream is travel-friendly.
It is indeed a winter cream! Every morning, after I apply it, my skin feels ready to face the harsh winter outside. My combination skin feels intensely moisturized and soft. The moisturizing is not heavily pigmented, so Lakmé Skin Gloss Winter Intense Moisturiser does not make my face feel greasy. The smell is mild and sober, and it fades away soon after application.
Every time I use it, the after effect is satisfying. The best part of it all is, without any oiliness, it makes my skin look like I have put on a highlighter.
Lakmé Skin Gloss Winter Intense Moisturiser is one of the good ones I have used. However, it is only for the winter season. I won’t be using it once the season ends. I say this because this cream does not have SPF and the pigmentation is rich, so there is a chance that it will make my skin oily in summer.
Makes your skin glow
Nourishes the skin
Can be used as a highlighter
Not suitable for oily skin
MAC needs no introduction to me. I have been using this brand’s products for a really long time and I have always loved them. MAC Strobe Cream is a recent purchase and I have to say, it is really one heck of a product!
I have combination skin and I feel that this cream is best for combination skin type. I have been using this cream from MAC for about three weeks and I can’t stop admiring it. When I have to go for a night out, I apply it all over my face with a foundation brush from MAC. I don’t like to use my fingers as I am very particular about personal hygiene and also because it tends to set well with the brush. I don’t have many skin problems so I don’t need a foundation. But this strobe cream does the trick of giving me flawless and glowing skin.
During the daytime when I go to the office or just anywhere else, I use this cream as my highlighter and it finishes off my look. The shade I am using is Redlite as I have medium skin tone. The trick for this cream is to get the right shade. You can do this by swatching all the shades or simply knowing what type of skin you have.
Whenever I use this cream, it not only fulfills my makeup needs but also makes my skin healthier.
This cream illuminates my whole look and makes my skin look radiant, smooth and dewy with a pinch of sheen. I just love this product! I’m so glad I bought it.
Rejuvenates the skin
Helps restore moisture
Imparts a cooling effect
Enriched with Vitamin E
No sun protection
Come summer, I always have problems with acne and to tackle that, I have literally tried everything. Finally, my skin reacted positively when I started using aloe vera directly from the plant itself. But it required a lot of effort, so I wanted an alternative, and that’s when I bought this Nature's Essence Aloevera Moisturising Beauty Gel.
Since this gel is multipurpose, I use it for almost everything. From using it as a mask to calming down my skin after shaving, t his is an answer to almost all my problems. I simply scoop a bit with my finger and apply it. The best part is, I keep it in my fridge. And whenever I use it, I get the fresh cooling effect. The peppermint oil is the cherry on top. It adds extra freshness.
It would have been perfect if it came with a pump dispenser. It would have been more hygienic. To make it hygienic, I always have to wash my hands before I use it.
Whenever I apply it on my face, my skin feels rejuvenated. I apply it every morning. And that way, it prepares my skin just right for the rest of the day. And at night, I apply it before calling it a night and sleep over it. I wake up with deeply moisturized and nourished skin. I have been doing this for over two months and trust me, my skin is thanking me! I haven’t had any issue with sudden pimples ever since. It’s the best I have ever used!
On rashes, shoe bites and burns, it works just as fine as any medicinal ointment. One solution to everything, I will say. I feel every household should be having at least one container of this Nature's Essence Aloevera Moisturising Beauty Gel!
Moisturizes the skin
True to all claims
My skin is very sensitive and reacts quickly to products it is not comfortable with. Come winter, it becomes very dry, and sometimes, my cheeks hurt if I don’t moisturize them enough. Last winter, I used this Nivea cream and even this season, I have been using it. It is like my personal favorite of the winter season.
I mostly use this cream on my face. It gives the right moisture my skin needs. I use this cream before I head out and before I call it a night. I wish it had sunblock, though. Thankfully, I stay in a cold region, but for the better good, I wish it did.
Now coming to its packaging, over the years, it has remained almost the same. I wish with time, Nivea made some changes to its tub. A tube dispenser will be so much better than a tub.
Nivea cream stays true to its claims and quenches my skin’s thirst for moisture. It is among the best cold creams and is readily available and affordable.
It is best for dry skin.
Gives dewy glow
Not effective in lightening the skin
I have always been aware of Himalaya Herbals. I think every Indian does. As a matter of fact, I believe there is or was at least one product of this brand in your household. There are some products that I personally really liked as well as some that I don’t. When I saw this Himalaya Herbals Clear Complexion Whitening Day Cream, I bought it with the hope of this cream lightening my dark scars from pimples.
The whole look of this cream is very standard, and the texture is amazing. It is unlike any other fairness creams I have encountered. I say this because the texture is so light and it glides on my skin so smoothly and easily. I use it every day before walking out of the house.
It has been a while since I started using this day cream. I am on my second tub. Since I use it every day, the quantity is too less for me. And I think for its price, the quantity should be a little more.
The claims of it lightening the skin are not entirely true. But it does give a dewy glow that my dry skin adores. My pimple scars are also lightened a little bit. No drastic changes but I like how this cream makes my skin smooth and clear. It makes my skin look clean and soft like a baby’s.
Washes off oiliness
Does not control hair fall
I have oily hair, and for some reason, my hair started falling. So, when I saw this shampoo in a supermarket, I thought of trying it out. The tag ‘No Paraben’ and “No dyes’ interested me, so I purchased it.
After a month’s use, I see it turned out to be good for my hair. I mean, not entirely but mostly. To start with, I have long hair, so it falls on my face very often when I keep it untied. Sometimes, it gets annoying but ever since I started using this shampoo, I don’t mind it ‘cause of the fragrance. Very often, I tend to hold some strands and sniff them. Can’t help it, the smell is just too alluring.
Now about the oiliness. Tresemme Botanique Nourish & Replenish Shampoo washes off all the oiliness and greasiness on my scalp. Since I wash my hair every day, I don’t know how long it holds off the oiliness, but I am satisfied with how it works on me. And about my hair fall? Well, it does nothing. I haven’t seen any difference, so that is a minus point for me.
Though it does nothing for my hair fall, I like how my hair feels with this shampoo- soft texture, glossy look, no frizziness, no greasiness, and the alluring fragrance it leaves behind. So, yes! I will buy it again.
Controls hair fall
Cleanses the scalp well
Makes hair soft and silky
A small amount forms a good lather
Does not control oiliness
My encounter with this shampoo was quite an event. I went to Chennai for a small get together. I forgot to take my shampoo along with me, so I used my sister-in-law’s Tresemme Hair Fall Defense Shampoo. That evening, I kept running my fingers through my hair and my cute niece said my hair smells nice.
My first experience with this shampoo was a memorable one. After coming back, I had to get one for myself. Now, it has been more than a month, and I love it. I see myself using this shampoo for a long time.
The smell is mild, it forms a good lather and can be washed off with ease. I use it three times a week because I have an oily scalp. It does a pretty good job in cleaning my scalp, but the oil is not controlled. So, regarding that, it is like any other shampoo. But hair fall wise, this shampoo has improved the hair fall I have been facing for such a long time. It’s much more manageable and yes! My hair smells nice for a long time.

I have used so many Patanjali products – some worked and some didn’t. Patanjali Kesh Kanti Aloe Vera Hair Cleanser is one of those products that works well.
The shampoo comes in a see-through bottle, and it has a gel-like texture. It has a very fresh fragrance of lime and aloe vera, and the fragrance lingers even after a wash. The after effect of this product is impressive. I have no worries of my hair getting into any sort of trouble as this shampoo is entirely herbal. So, I can use it as many times as I want, especially during summers.
I have oily hair, and during summer, my scalp sweats a lot! Patanjali Kesh Kanti Aloe Vera Hair Cleanser came as a knight in shining armor to combat this problem. So now, after every wash, my hair feels like it is resurrected. My hair and scalp feel fresh, the texture is balanced, my hair fall has reduced up to 5 times, and the dandruff is getting extinct.
Now, coming to the things I didn’t like. For me, to start liking this product, I took some time because the results were slow. My hair fall stopped after many uses only, and the tips of my hair are usually dry because of the split ends. So around that area, my hair becomes drier. I have to use serum to nourish it. Since it is an Ayurvedic product and has natural ingredients, I continued using it, otherwise I would have stopped.
Overall, I will recommend this shampoo for oily hair types. For dry hair, it might not be suitable.
Controls oil effectively
Hydrates and nourishes the scalp
Makes your hair smooth
The most important thing about my beauty regimen is my hair. It is as though my entire look is defined by it. I have mid-long straight hair with a very oily scalp and dry ends. I have to wash my hair every day to maintain a fresh look, otherwise dullness followed by a headache takes over the day.
Although I am told a hundred times to stop washing my hair every day, I have no choice because my scalp is terribly oily. So, when I heard about this shampoo, I was keen on trying it and see how it works for my oiliness.
As I opened the flip cap, I sniffed it and found it had a mild fragrance. The texture looks pearly which has soft glitter. I instantly liked it. I washed my hair with lukewarm water as usual. While massaging my scalp, I felt a cooling sensation, and I liked that as well.
I continued using it every day like how I used to, but after a week or so, I started noticing a change in the greasiness. Now, I do not have to wash my hair every day. I do wash it every alternate day, but at least not every day.
All the beauties with oily scalp should try this and see how it works.
Washes off easily
Removes dirt and makeup
A little goes a long way
Forms good lather
Ponds and I have memories that go back during my childhood days when my mom use to apply Ponds moisturizing cold cream on me during winter to avoid crack cheeks. Now all their products have improved concerning formulation, packaging, fragrance, and lines of products.
I have been using Ponds Pure White Anti Pollution + Purity Face Wash for almost a year, and I see myself using it for a while.
I like the creamy texture, how it forms the lather, the smell, just about everything about it. I have very oily skin, so I use 3-4 times a day, and every time I use it, I like how it makes my skin dry and clean. The sleek tube lasted me about one and a half month, which is very impressive considering the price.
I also like how it traces off all the dirt and makeup from my face at night before I go off to bed. This face wash is by far the best I have used. I see no cons in it.
