I got this MAC Studio Fix Fluid SPF 15 from the store. It has been more than a month now. I use it every day before I leave for work. My skin leans more towards oily but not entirely. I use the shade NC12. I have some blemishes on my cheeks, and occasionally, I break out.My experience with this foundation has been quite a good one. I can’t do my face like that makeup artist, but my skin looks flawless. I use a damp beauty sponge to blend it all over. I wish the foundation comes in a more functional packaging. It takes time for the foundation to reach my sponge and it can get annoying — especially when you have used quite a bit, and the foundation is running out.Other than that, this foundation has never caused breakouts. It stays put for a good 5-6 hours, gives me a dewy, natural finish and blurs the pores on the corners of my nose. Will I repurchase? I might have to think about it. Because, though I have nothing negative to say about this foundation, I still feel I have used better ones with a much lesser price tag. If it wasn’t for the brand and how it was advertised and promoted, I think I wouldn’t have noticed it.
I have always loved products from The Body Shop. It suits my sensitive, dry skin very well. I have been using The Body Shop Vitamin E Nourishing Night Cream for over two months, and it has benefitted my skin. So when I went to the store to restock this night cream, I went ahead and purchased The Body Shop Vitamin E Gentle Facial Wash.It comes in a baby pink tube with a flip-open cap, and the texture is creamy. Overall, the size and the packaging is very practical and convenient.I use it daily in the morning and at night before applying the night cream. Its texture and feel are amazing. My dry skin wakes up like a new skin in the morning. I love how rich this facial cleanser is. It does not dry out my skin, nor does it feel stretchy. It removes all dirt from my face without stripping off its natural oils. And trust me, my dry skin needs every bit of moisture available. There is nothing in this world that is fault-free, so I do have some glitches regarding this face wash. Compared to other TBS products I have used, this does not stand out. It has a very distinct chemical smell. It does fade away once I rinse it off though. To add to that, this face wash does not form enough lather. Since it is creamy (which I have no problem with), this face wash is a little slippery. Thankfully, it washes off easily. The positives of this face wash outweigh the negatives so I will still repurchase it unless a better one comes around. For now, I am OK with it.
I think NYX Professional Makeup Mineral Stick Foundation was made for people like me who are super lazy. The packaging is sleek. It comes in a glossy black roll-up stick, like a giant lipstick. It is easy to use and very portable. The intensity of the coverage is totally up to the user.I love NYX Professional Makeup Mineral Stick Foundation as a contouring stick but not as a foundation (unfortunately). I have tried it as a foundation, but it wasn’t my cup of tea. The shade didn’t suit my undertone accurately. I started using it as a highlighter and it works great!I’ve been using this product for a month now, and it really has become a part of my essential, go-to makeup. I use Porcelain and Caramel shades now for highlighting and contouring respectively, and they’re amazing. One of the things I like about this stick foundation is how easy it is to apply and blend. Both brush and blender work pretty well for me.It also has a smooth finish and no visible lines after a soft blending session. I would say that it gives a dewy look, too. It feels light enough and doesn’t sit heavily on my skin.
I absolutely love the NYX Professional Makeup Total Control Drop Foundation! Being an Asian woman in my mid-30s, I have developed hyperpigmentation spots on both sides of my cheeks. I need a foundation with above average coverage To cover these spots, so I am very picky when it comes to products I apply on my face.I really don’t have anything bad to say about this product. It saves me the trouble of using a concealer separately. I have pretty oily skin, and it isn’t a problem with this foundation. Three to four drops of it on my hyperpigmented spots is all it takes to cover them up completely. I prefer to use a brush to blend it out, which also saves me time, especially because my daily routine is kind of hectic.Another thing I like about the Total Control Drop Foundation is the variety of shades to choose from. Within the 30 shades available, it has a lot of options for generic/common skin tones. I’m lucky enough to be able to use the Vanilla shade without any issues.Thought the packaging is very convenient for application, the dropper can get a little messy. The foundation gets collected on the dropper and there is a high chance of wasting it.Despite that, I will recommend this foundation to anyone who is looking for a natural finish look. It works really well in that aspect.
I have naturally curly hair which tends to go crazy if I do not care for it properly. Over the years, I have managed to look good with constant oiling and applying serums. I have never really thought of a shampoo to be a thing to tame my curly hair. It was at this time around last year that I read an article about this shampoo. Since then, I was very keen on using it myself, but it took time to get my hands on it. Availability is an issue. I got mine from a random visit to a salon to do my eyebrows. It’s been a while now and trust me, this is the best shampoo for dry and curly hair. It has helped to reduce the frizziness, and my curls seem much more defined. I have bid goodbye to hair serums now. After every wash, my hair is amazingly soft. It is hard for me to resist touching it and playing with it. I was of the view that my hair would look good only after I set it, but this shampoo along with the conditioner is all I need. My hair looks beautiful. L'Oreal Professionnel Mythic Oil Shampoo is a must-try shampoo. However, I will suggest the oily hair beauties to skip it.
I have very dry hair that is damaged and brittle from years of coloring and heat treatment. My hair reacts quickly to anything that’s harsh and heavy. So, I am very particular about what I apply on my hair. OGX Moroccan Argan Oil Shampoo is mild and suits my sensitive, dry hair very well. I am on my fifth or sixth bottle now. I use it along with the conditioner, and I get the best results. This shampoo has protected my hair from further damage and helped it regain volume. I also like the fragrance. It is mild and lingers for a long time. The shampoo lathers well, and the bottle lasts me two to three months easily.I have stopped coloring and going overboard with my hair. Now, I am heading towards all natural, beautiful hair with the help of this shampoo.
From the first use itself, I started loving this face wash. The moment I squirted the face wash on my palm, the smell tickled my nostrils and I had to sniff it closely before forming a lather. It smells exactly like strawberry, maybe even sweeter.Since I have oily skin, I was skeptical about the creamy texture, but the face wash isn’t as creamy as I thought. As I ran the face wash through my face, the lather formed easily. I felt all the impurities getting washed off as I rinsed it off with cold water. The after effect of the face wash was what I was dreading, but it all settled well. I did not feel heavy after using it. In fact, my skin feels clean and radiant after every wash. Since I have oily skin, my routine is to wash my face thrice every day. I also use the Lakme Blush & Glow Strawberry Face Scrub once every week. The only thing I don’t like about this face wash is their claim of giving blush. I feel like that’s bizarre. How can a mere face wash give blush?Other than that, the results are quite satisfying. I’m happy with Lakme's line of fruit products. I am soon going to try the peach flavor as well (fingers crossed).
When I got my hands on this Lakme Absolute Perfect Radiance Skin Lightening Face Wash, I was very impressed by its packaging. It is a white tube with silver, black and pink details. All of these make it look very sophisticated. I do have one complaint though – it is the screw cap. I wish it came with a pump dispenser. That way, it’ll save me some time of unscrewing the lid every time I use it.I was also very impressed with its claim of having a breakthrough technology to release potent skin lightening vitamins into the skin cells throughout the day and also targeting the six blocks of fairness. I already have a light skin tone, so I was more excited about its claim of lightening blemishes and acne scars, which is a problem I am facing with for quite some time now.The texture is lightly creamy, and it forms a good lather. It has a mild fruity fragrance which is subtle. The first time I used it, I thought it would be like just any other face wash. The creamy texture did form a good lather, and my skin felt clean, but it was only after two weeks time that I started noticing the changes. To begin with, it instantly gives a glow after wash, and the fragrance lingers for a while. I have combination skin, so my skin type is tricky. But it manages to reduce the oiliness while balancing the moisture. My skin feels clean from within, and I haven’t had any breakouts. But concerning my blemishes and acne marks, it still hasn’t shown any visible changes. I think it might be too early to judge, so I’ll give it a month or so. Nonetheless, I am positive that it’ll work effectively if I continue to be dedicated to caring for my skin.
As I live in a metro, my skin care needs to be centered around the cause of all my skin problems, and that is pollution. It all starts there. I have been taking care of it by scrubbing once in a week and applying face pack during the weekends. But it is not enough. When I was on a lookout for something I could use every day, I found the perfect face wash for my pollution aid.Ponds Pure White Anti Pollution + Purity Face Wash is the solution I was looking for. It targets dirt and gives me clean and fresh results every time I use it. I have oily skin, so this works well on me. I use it twice a day, i.e., after I get up and before I sleep. I think dry skin people can skip this face wash as it tends to dry the skin after use. But if you have normal to oily skin type, you will love it.The smell is not strong, and the scent fades away after a while. The lather it forms makes me want to keep on blending the creamy texture on my face. Just a pea-sized amount results in good foam and cleanses very thoroughly, so just a little will go a long way.Another thing I like about this face wash is how it washes off my makeup with such ease, especially my waterproof kajal. I think it’s safe to say that it will minus the use of makeup remover. The only downfall of this product is that it does nothing for acne, pimples, and blackheads. It does clean the dirt and oiliness so that way, it doesn’t break me out. But for the present breakouts, to my observation, it does nothing. To conclude, this face wash is a good buy, especially coming with such a reasonable price. I think everyone should give it a try at least once and see how it works.
Patanjali Lemon-Honey Face Wash is my first Patanjali product. I am going to review it in terms of the packaging, consistency, and other aspects. To begin with, when I visited the store, because of the affordable prices, I went overboard, but I was pretty satisfied with my purchases. The Lemon-Honey Face Wash has a tangy smell. And the color of the gel looks like lemon syrup, which made me feel like I was using actual lemon paste. The packaging is very convenient, and the open flip cap prevents the face wash from getting messy. Overall, the look is pleasing to the eye; not so flashy and all the ingredients are mentioned, so it's easy to know what exactly you are using. As I formed a lather on my cheeks, it blended really well and then I went on with other parts of the face.Rinsing it was also easy. It didn’t feel jelly or slippery. After I patted it dry, my skin felt clean and even free from oil. I think dry skin will not like it because it removes oil. But since I am from the oily skin family, I loved it. The duration of oil being away is decent as well. I continued using it for a week with other Patanjali products, and my skin felt revived. The tan on my forehead has visibly disappeared, and I didn’t have any breakouts. But I am not sure it will be the same for acne prone skin.Overall, my skin is benefitting a lot, and I am glad I have found my remedy in an Indian herbal product that comes at such a good price.
