Reduces split ends
Reduces hair fall
Stimulates hair growth
Makes hair silky
Parachute Hair Oil has been around for ages now and it's a testament to its quality how many people love it! I've been using this since childhood and it does help with hair growth. It leaves hair feeling smooth and silky. It's affordable and comes in a sturdy packaging. I've noticed a significant difference in the health of my hair if I neglect to oil it.
Makes hair soft
Makes hair manageable and easy to comb
Too much of it can make your hair look oily
Livon Serum is pretty great for when you have frizzy hair. It leaves the hair looking smooth and shiny. A little goes a long way with this product as too much of it can make your hair look and feel oily. The fragrance is mild and kind of floral. I love the scent, it's very soothing to me. It comes in a sturdy, handy packaging and can be used while travelling. It is very affordable as well and it's one of the serums I love.
Suitable for all skin types
Transparent plastic bottle
Amazing strawberry fragrance
Contains natural ingredients
The Body Shop Strawberry Shower Gel is a very delicious strawberry scented body wash gel! I really love the scent - it's very yummy. It lathers well and leaves you with a fresh feeling and feeling utterly soothed. On the downside, it is pricey but it contains natural ingredients. It's also suitable for all skin types.
Easy to apply
I have wanted a shimmery, glittery liquid liner for a long time now. Finally I saw this on Nykaa and decided to purchase it as it is supremely affordable. It is very glittery and lasts a long while. It's not fully waterproof, but I don't like waterproof stuff for the eyes anyway. The packaging is super cute and it's easy to carry along when you're headed out. I own the shade gunmetal I believe it's called. Not quite blackish, it has a more silvery glitter finish. But it looks really good. My cousin purchased all the shades since she loved how it looked on me and it's really really affordable. Cons - It is a bit hard to apply as the brush is too short. I prefer slightly longer brushes. But all in all, it is worth it!
Repairs chapped lips
Makes lips shiny
Sweet fruity fragrance
Unhygienic tub packaging
There was a time when I used Lotus lipbalm as if it was a God send. It's affordable and the scents are pretty lovely. It imparts a slight tint to the lips. It's very shiny and it does moisturise the lips. It's pretty affordable. It comes in a pot though, which most would consider unhygienic to a certain extent.
Does not weight down hair
Enriched with 3 oils
Treats dry and damaged hair
Makes hair manageable
Garnier is a well known brand in India and is quite on the affordable side as well. This conditioner works great on dry hair. It leaves hair feeling smooth and soft. My hair feels so silky after using this conditioner. I can't stop touching it! And the best part is that it doesn't weigh your hair down - instead leaving it smooth and manageable but not feeling like you've dumped a whole bottle of oil on your hair.
Contains shea butter
Contains cocoa butter
Makes your skin soft
The Body Shop Body Butter is so creamy and buttery, I don't think I will be going back to using other creams for dry skin. This is a holy grail item! It lasts for a long while and makes skin super creamy and smooth. I love it! The only thing I dislike is that it's a bit on the pricier side.
Comes with shine tonic
The BBlunt hair colour is pretty good as far as colouring hair at home is concerned. It has a good colour payoff, covers grey hair well. It doesn't leave hair looking dry and brittle. The shine tonic does impart shine to the hair! My only grievance is regarding the packaging. It's hard to get all of the colour out of the tube. The packaging is quite hard and so it's a struggle. But all in all, it's pretty good for at home, affordable coloring.
Evens out skin tone
Provides basic coverage
Takes time to blend
It evens out skin tone and gives good enough coverage for people who are just starting out and don't want to invest in a foundation. It does take a while to blend in properly and I have to heavily moisturise my skin prior to using this, as my skin is very dry. So my fellow dry skin beauties, remember to amply moisturise your skin before applying it. All in all, I do prefer this to a foundation for everyday use.
Does not clog pores
Smooth and natural finish
Available in 30 shades
Not suitable for dry skin
Can make skin look patchy
I got this as a gift and was very excited to try it. But sadly, this foundation isn't exactly for dry skin. It ends up looking patchy on my skin, no matter how much moisturiser and dewy primer I use. That being said, it blends well and does make the skin look smooth. Plus, the dropper is pretty convenient. I'd recommend this to oily and combination skin people, not those with dry skin.
Suitable for all skin types
One of my favourite sunscreens ever! It doesn't sit on my face, blends in well and doesn't make my skin look patchy and dry. Moreover, the smell is pretty pleasant. It doesn't make the skin look white like some sunscreens are prone to do. I've been using this for a while now and I don't think I'll be buying another brand henceforth.
Refreshes the skin
Does not impart blush and glow as claimed
I seem to be in the minority for this one, but this facewash really dries my skin out! My skin is pretty dry already, and I notice my skin is torn after washing my face using this face wash. So, I wouldn't recommed this for my fellow dry skinned people. It works great for combi and oily skin. My mum loves it. On the plus side, the smell is absolutely divine, I love it.
Good colour payoff
Easy to use
I was gifted the MAC lip pencil in the shade Heroine. A pretty purple colour, the pigmentation is awesome. Glides on pretty well, but does require to be tugged on lips that aren't exfoliated and moisturised. It is a bit drying, but does last me for about 4 hours, before softly fading. It needs to be kept in a cool place as the heat makes the tip melt and break off.
