Does not really live up to the claims but it is good

Bobbi brown everything mascara costs Rs.2700 and comes in a black packaging. The fact that it is called an everything mascara is because of it’s claims that the all in one formulation lengthens ,thickens and defined. Does it live up to it’s claims? Not really! It increases my lashes in length and kind of thickens it too but does not make it voluminous or anything. It does not clump at all. It gives me natural looking lashes and not dramatic thus it’s good for daily use.

Pro's

Free from flakes

Smudge-proof

Lengthens and curls lashes

Defining and volumizing formula

Gentle on eyes

Easy application and removal

Con's

Expensive

Not waterproof

Might clump on brush

Average lip balm

Himalaya herbals peach shine lip care costs Rs.150. It comes in a peach twist up bullet packaging with a transparent base. I really like the fruity smell of it. The texture is average and requires a little force on application which is not at all smooth. It is kind of transparent with a hint of pink hence there’s no peach shade to it. It moisturizes the lips properly but will not heal extremely chapped lips.

Pro's

Makes lips shiny

Retractable form

Fresh peach fragrance

Heals chapped lips

Hydrating effect

Cruelty-free

Affordable

100% natural color

Con's

Not tinted

Favourite mascara

Maybelline Falsies Push Up Drama Mascara costs Rs.570 and comes in a packaging that is quite different from normal mascara thus it stands out of the crowd. I really like the wand provided which has made mascara application much more easier on the upper as well as lower lashes. As maybelline states that this is a push up brush that scoops, coats and lifts the lashes making them more voluminous, it really does. The texture is creamy and lasts for long. It doesn’t feel heavy at all.Removing this mascara can be a huge time pain so I use it once a while not daily. Good quality olive oil ensures easy and complete removal.

Pro's

Coats every lash with product

Creamy texture

False-lash like look

45 degrees lift

Dramatic effect

Available in a washable and waterproof format

Lengthens lashes

Toasted brown and honey cherry

Maybelline New York Color Sensational Powder Matte Lipstick Costs Rs. 475 each. I have it in the shade Toastes brown and Honey cherry, both these shades are really pretty. The pigmentation is decent and you need 2-3 coats to get the colour payoff. The texture is creamy yet dry. I apply little bit of lip balm beforehand because it tends to settle into lines. It lasts for good amount of time and looks matte with a powdery finish to it. I really love these lipsticks and the fact that they’re so affordable for such a good quality lipstick.

Pro's

Enriched with honey nectar

Intense matte look

Nourishes lips

Long-lasting

Smudge-resistant

Average product

Maybelline New York V-Face Duo Stick is a two in one stick. It has a contour and a highlighter in each end. The texture is creamy and can be blended with fingers. The shade range could’ve been more. The contour shade is disgusting. It’s light and vanishes as soon as I blend it. I literally have to rub it on my face multiple times to make it look like I’ve put contour or else it looks like that’s my natural skin colour. The highlighter is decent it gives natural glow to my face and it good for daily use. Both the contour and highlighter fades very quickly.

Pro's

Creamy texture

Blends well

Precise application

Affordable

Con's

Poor shade range

The contour shade is too light

Not long-lasting

Best shampoo for babies

Sebamed Children’S Shampoo costs Rs.427 for 150 ml of shampoo and it goes a long way because babies don’t need a lot. The thing that should be considered before buying a shampoo is to look for paraben and sulfate content, this shampoo has none. It doesn’t lather that well but it thoroughly cleanses the baby’s hair. It has a non drying formula and it’s very gentle. It doesn’t sting even if it reaches the eyes. It makes the baby’s hair really soft, silky and shiny.

Promotes hair growth

Aloe Veda Distil Castor Oil is distilled which means it haven’t been heated/processed. It is a very thick oil which smells disgusting. It can be really tough to remove from the hair but it’s a real lifesaver if you’re suffering from hair fall. It has to be mixed with coconut oil thus it will help to easily apply and also wash from the hair. It promotes hair growth and prevents hair fall.

Bobbi Brown No Smudge Mascara Is a waterproof mascara which comes in a sleek grey packaging. The spoolie is really amazing which helps in easy application and doesn’t make the lashes stick to each other instead it helps in separating them. It is a gel like mascara which completely coats the lashes. It is buildable according to desire whether you want a natural look or a heavy look. It has an intense black color and suitable for all occasions especially when going to a beach or water park.

Pro's

Not for beginners

Veet full body waxing kit has caused me nothing but pain. I’ve seen my sister in law using it too and she complained of the same. It has 8 waxing strips. The strips has the gel which gets stuck on the hair and then when we pull it the hair gets pulled along with it. However I feel that it’s too harsh and sticky. When I did it my hand turned red as if there’s rashes all over with tiny bumps. I thought maybe it’s normal and will vanish soon but still I put a lot of ice and cold water. The redness reduced but the bumps lasted a week. The wipe that they provide is also not good. Even after wiping the stickiness remains which makes me feel super uneasy. So I stopped using it.

Pro's

Picks hair from the roots

Grabs tiny hairs

Available for all skin types

Affordable

Con's

Doesn’t work on fine hair

Strip doesn’t come off easily

Not efficient
