Bobbi Brown Extra Illuminating Moisture Balm is the best purchase of this year for me. I bought the Bare Glow shade five months back to use as a highlighter. But this winter, I have been obsessed with crystal clear glowy skin look. Here is how I liked it, how I am using it, and what I am doing to get that crystal clear glowing skin.
So, this moisturizer comes in a pump dispenser, which is convenient and hygienic. It smells a little herbal but it fades away once applied. The size of the packaging makes it travel-friendly. More or less a thumbs up for the packaging.
Now, as I said, I bought this mainly for highlighting purpose. Back then, I used to apply it over my foundation on the points I wanted to highlight, like my cheekbones, nose, and upper lip. It does wonders! It highlights beautifully and gives a high-end finishing touch to my makeup.
Since I am into the no-makeup-look these days, what I do is, I mix a little amount of this illuminating moisturizer with my CC cream and blend it all over my face. This works because I have dry skin. I would not recommend oily or maybe even combination skin type to use it this way.
Every time I use it that way, my skin looks beautiful! Almost like a Korean beauty. This moisturizer does not have sparkles or thick shimmers. It has a natural glow which gives an expensive look. No wonder it’s expensive.
From the day I have been using this moisturizer, I have been satisfied. It was totally worth it. I still do wish for the price to go down though.

Not illuminating enough
The effect disappears when mixed with foundation
I had such high expectation with this moisturizer after reading so many good reviews about it. But what I got was utterly disappointing, considering the money I paid for it. The illumination it gives me is very subtle, but when I mix it with my foundation it is almost non-existent. Yes, it is very hydrating for my combination skin, but I wish there was more illumination in the product. I will not be buying this product again.

Does not clog pores
Revives your skin
Does not cause any skin problems
It has just been two weeks since I started using this illuminating moisturizer and I’m telling you guys, this is one of the best. It not only moisturizes my dry skin but also adds life to my dull skin. I go all out with it. I use it all over my face as a moisturizer with a little bit of sunscreen. It does not clog my pores nor does it give me any skin problems. I am using the shade Golden Glow and my face looks healthy and naturally radiant. I am so happy with this purchase.

No harmful ingredients
Not suitable for oily skin
I love all the products I have used from Bobbi Brown, but I am not so sure about this one. My oily skin feels so heavy when I put this cream on. I can not wear it during the day because it makes me look very oily. I cannot even wear it at night because I look dirty! But since I paid so much for it, I am using it to enhance my legs, hands, and neck area. That way it works very well! It makes me look expensive. I also have a little problem with the smell. It is kind of herbal-ish. Overall, it is ok, not something I will look out for again.

Choose according to your preference. Altogether there are three shades - Bare Glow, Pink Glow, and Golden Glow. Bare Glow will give a cool glow, Pink Glow will give a hint of pink glow and Golden Glow will give a warm glow.
