The innovation of Cheryl’s Cosmeceuticals dates back to 1986. It was established by Oscar and Cheryl Pereira at a 500 sq. ft. factory in Mumbai. The brand started with the aim to provide sustainable cosmetics and skincare treatments across India. The brand held a seminar in Mumbai in the year 1989. It was held to spread awareness about how products are being created especially for the Indian skin type. All the products are created after intense research and taking feedback from skincare experts.

The brand has spent thirty-two years of thorough research to understand which ingredient is suitable for which skin type and is appropriate to solve what skin problem. In 2000, the brand’s name was rechristened to Cheryl’s Cosmeceuticals to expand their network at premium salons across India. The brand is focusing on changing the notion of skincare in the country and it has started doing so by aiming to lighten skin tones, as preferred by its customers.

L’Oreal took over Cheryl’s Cosmeceuticals in the year 2013. L’Oreal set up a 25,000 sq. ft. factory in Mumbai and ever since, the collaboration has been helpful for both the brands to reach up to a greater audience and provide customized skincare solutions. The brand also launched Cheryl’s first skincare institute in the year 2017. This institute trains beauticians by providing them with essential skin care tools. It helps them understand diverse skin types while treating them with care.

The brand’s logo is a two hands relationship that describes a result-oriented relationship.
