Needs extra moisturizer for dry skin

Unhygienic tub packaging

Clinique Even Better Skin Tone Correcting Moisturizer is not for dry skin, and I have dry skin, but I have been using it for eight months. Confused?

Well, I usually do not purchase anything which is not for my skin type. But during my purchase of Clinique Smart Night Custom-Repair Moisturizer for Dry to Combination Skin, I got free samples of this moisturizer. I guess the sales girl didn’t pay attention to the type of skin. Neither did I.

The first time I used it, it was drying, but I didn’t want to waste it. So I kept using it with an additional moisturizer. And trust me, I couldn’t un-see how well it was acting on my skin. It works great alone too, but since my skin is super dry, I need that extra moisturization.

I bought the tub packaging because I wasn’t aware of the availability of pump dispenser packaging. Otherwise, I would have gone for it. It smells like sunblock, but once it's on the face for a while, it fades away.

Anyway, after religious use for eight months, my skin looks more even, and the pigmentation I had is fading. I also get a healthy glowing look. I think that’s because I have dry skin.

It is pricey, but you get an enormous amount of product, and I just need a little of it to cover my whole face and neck. I am loving how great it is working on me. It is totally worth the price for me.

I've been using this moisturizer for about six months now, and over these months, I see that the quality of my skin keeps getting better and better.

To be honest, it is not a miracle-working skin lightening moisturizer. But it is making some changes to the way my skin looks. For me, it took at least 5-6 weeks to see an improvement.

Thought it took a while, with constant use I noticed the hyper-pigmentation on my face has lightened up considerably. Which I am pleased about. I think the key is to be constant.

Not effective on dark spots

I have used this product for three years and am very pleased with it. It is a very light moisturizer that absorbs beautifully and is not at all greasy. And the SPF works effectively.

I have not noticed any reduction in my dark spots, but I would say my skin tone is more even. I have very oily skin, and for my skin, this moisturizer is the best one I have tried. I use the moisturizer every day before I head out. Even after daily use, it lasts me around 12 weeks.

PROS

Pump packaging

CONS

Strong smell

Expensive

Leaves a film on the skin

I bought the one in a pump packaging because, any day, I prefer a pump over tub packaging. I have combination skin that gets oily depending on the weather. When I used this moisturizer, it left my skin with a horrible film over it which I didn’t like at all. It also smelled strong which is odd because it claims to be fragrance-free.

The pump it came in was nice, but it is a small bottle for the price. I won’t be repurchasing it again because I think I can easily get other effective moisturizers that will work better than this.
