Value for money
Provides sun protection
Provides deep nourishment
Keeps flakiness at bay
Not for oily skin
Makes oily skin greasy
My face is oily, but my legs and arms are super dry. I initially bought this Himalaya Herbals Protective Sunscreen Lotion for my face thinking it is a safe and soft sun-protecting lotion.
But when I used it for the first time on my face, it was horrific! My face became oilier than it already was. And I went out looking like that. It made me sweaty and my skin was greasy.
Still, I didn’t want to let the lotion lie on a corner of my dressing table, so the next day, I used it on my legs and arms. I tell you, that was how I should have started. It worked so well on my body. My dry skin felts deeply nourished, and the dry flakiness was long gone.
I am almost done with the bottle, and I am going to get another one. Not for my face, though.

Does not cause breakouts
Himalaya Herbals Protective Sunscreen Lotion is incredibly lightweight. I am a huge fan of Himalaya products as I have experienced many positive effects firsthand. As soon as I apply this lotion on my face, it gets absorbed quickly, leaving behind a subtle sheen. Since my skin is very dry and sensitive, this Himalaya sunscreen works so well on me. My skin starts reacting when I apply harsh products, even more when it contains strong SPF. So, in that way, Himalaya Herbals Protective Sunscreen Lotion is a perfect match for me. My skin feels soft and supple. I strongly suggest other women to try this product if you share my similar skin type.

Hard to blend
Can leave a white cast
Himalaya Herbals Protective Sunscreen Lotion is an average lotion that gives decent nourishment. The hard part is to blend it. The texture is in between creamy and runny, and it takes a good amount of rubbing to blend it evenly. Otherwise, this lotion leaves a white cast.

Not entirely herbal
I thought it was an all natural lotion. But when I saw the list of ingredients (after purchasing and using it for almost a week), I was so disappointed looking at the list of ingredients. Though it stated ‘inactive ingredients,’ an ingredient is an ingredient. After this bottle runs out, I won’t be purchasing it again.
List of ingredients:
Each ml contains Hedychium Spicatum (Spiked Ginger Lily, Gandhapalashi), Aloe vera (Barbados Aloe, Kumari), Alpinia galanga (Greater Galangal, Mahabharivacha), Pyrus Malus (Crab Apple, Seva).
The inactive ingredients are Phenoxyethanol, Methylparaben IP, Propylparaben IP, Ethylparaben, Butylparaben, Isobutylparaben.
No. But using a sunscreen can have certain side effects. Some of the side effects are allergic reactions, negative reactions on acne, eye irritations, pain in hairy areas, and pus in hair follicles. If you face such reactions or even those not mentioned, contact a doctor.
