Not so long ago, I had a lot of pimples. The areas around my cheeks were the most affected. It happened out of the blue, and I couldn't digest it. When I went to a dermatologist, along with other medications, she prescribed me Lacto Calamine Oil Balance Lotion (For Oily Skin) (since I have oily skin).

It will be too unrealistic to say that this Lacto Calamine Oil Balance Lotion saved me. But indeed, after six months of constant care and medication, my skin is almost back to normal.

How did I use it? Well, every morning after I wash my face, I shake the container because the liquid base and the creamy base get separated while storing. Then, I take a pea-sized amount and spread it all over my face. It needs a little more effort than usual while blending, but that’s a minor thing for me.

After application, my skin feels oil-free, and the effect lasts for almost 6-7 hours. I use it as my night cream as well, which means I use the lotion twice a day.

Initially, I was doubtful about this lotion because I barely saw any chances of my pimples reducing. Though it gave me nice control over my oiliness, my main concern was my pimples. But then after a while, my pimples started drying off, and there were no new pimples. Some faint marks are still there, but that’s ok.

I am very satisfied with this Lacto Calamine Oil Balance Lotion. It helped me with my crisis.

An important note: The pimples disappeared not because of this lotion only but with prescribed medication and controlled diet.

PROS

Gives a matte finish

Controls oiliness

Best for oily skin

Controls sweating to some extent

CONS

Strong smell

No SPF

I have just started using this a week back, and it is probably early for me to review this, but the results are amazing! I have very oily skin, so oily that after one hour of face wash, my skin gets oily.

This lotion mattifies the skin instantly as well as hydrates it, which last for a very long time. I use it as a primer during the day and as a night cream before I sleep. At night, I wash my face, tone my skin with rose water and then apply this lotion. I am expecting a very positive result, looking at the way things are going now.

PROS

Can be used on rashes and bruises

Speeds up healing

CONS

Strong fragrance

Needs a little effort to blend

Leaves a whitish cast behind

Though I have oily skin, I did not like this lotion very much. The smell is too overpowering, and the texture is very rough. I also don’t like the fact that I have to keep shaking the bottle and rubbing it. If I don’t blend it properly, I get whitish casting. So it is a complete disappointment.

However, I do use it. Not on my face, but on rashes and bruises. I take clean cotton, dab some lotion onto it and apply it on the affected areas. It speeds up the healing process. But I don’t use it on open and fresh wounds.
