PROS

Does not cause breakouts

Sleek packaging

Long-lasting

Matte finish and natural glow

Does not look cakey

Protects from UV rays

CONS

Thick texture that makes is difficult to blend

Surprisingly, Lakme 9 to 5 CC Complexion Care Cream did not disappoint me because I honestly did not expect good coverage. However, it covered up my blemishes with a matte finish and also gave a natural glow. For my fair skin tone, beige shade suited me well. It does not make my skin fairer, but makes it look smooth and refined. Another thing I like about this cream is that it makes my skin look dewy instead of oily. I also love the fact that the cream has a soft, almost sweet aroma. Since I dislike strong artificial or chemical smell in makeup, this cream works well for me.

The packaging of the product is oddly satisfying. It came in a box that is hot pink color inside out. The compact packaging makes it travel-friendly and convenient.

One thing I don't like about the cream was the texture because it takes a lot of blending. If I don't blend it out properly, my skin looks patchy. But after blending properly, the cream feels light on my skin, and covers up imperfections. The cream stays on for about 5 hours or so without having to touch up and that’s a 10 on 10 for me.

So far my skin has not reacted negatively to the cream, and it has been two weeks since I got it.
So overall, Lakme 9 to 5 CC Complexion Care Cream is a product every girl should have in her bag.

PROS

Affordable

Does not feel heavy on the skin

Creamy texture that spreads easily

Medium coverage

Evens out the skin tone

SPF 30

Good for daily use

CONS

Can dry out your cheeks a bit

I have dusky skin, so it kind of gets tricky while trying to choose the right shade. But Lakme 9 to 5 CC complexion care cream has some great shades for Indian skin tones. For my skin tone, the Almond shade (as recommended) matches well without making me look fake.

The cream comes in a tube packaging that is travel-friendly and easy to use. The texture of the cream is creamy that spreads easily and does not feel heavy on the skin. It gives me a non-oily and non-greasy finish. I don’t have to apply any moisturizer or sunscreen over it because it ticks off all the criteria.

The coverage game is strong, a little amount of the product is enough to cover the face and neck. It gives me a matte finish and covers the pimple scars to some extent. Even if I apply a lot of it, my face does not feel heavy.

My skin is very sensitive, but this CC cream hasn’t given me any breakouts yet. Hopefully, it remains the same in the future. Smell wise it is nice, not too strong, and fades away soon.

I like this CC cream for the fact that it does not need a lot of effort to apply and blend. It gets easily absorbed, and I don’t look like I have put on a lot of makeup and that is my ultimate intention - looking pretty without any effort.

PROS

Light texture

Blends well

SPF 30

Cute packaging

Does not give an artificial effect

Decent coverage

CONS

Makes face oily after a couple of hours

I love the whole line of Lakme 9 to 5! I was first introduced to their collection by a friend when I used her lipstick to try out the shade. Ever since then I have a soft spot for this collection and Lakme 9 to 5 CC Complexion Care Cream is no exception. My skin is a little towards wheatish skin tone, and the shade Honey matches me without making my face look cakey.

I used to use foundation, but after using this CC cream, I have stopped applying foundation because it is no longer required. This CC cream blends in my skin like it belongs there. The texture is so light and smooth that it doesn’t need much blending as well. And it comes in a cute rose gold tube which I find extremely girly and pretty.

I use it every day before stepping out of the house - be it for work or shopping or meeting up friends. It has SPF 30 so you don’t need to apply another sunscreen which makes it a must-have product.

I have oily skin, but it still manages to balance my moisture. But it does get oily after an hour or two. I correct it by powdering my face with a compact.

The only downfall of this product is that it is not suitable for all skin types. I would have absolutely loved this CC cream if not for having to use compact later on.

PROS

Easy to apply

Cute packaging

CONS

Unsatisfying coverage

Creamy texture

Can make your skin greasy

I have wheatish to dusky skin tone, and the Bronze shade suits me well. The texture of this CC cream is like any creamy foundation, though much thicker than a liquid foundations. I feel that the CC cream isn’t very light on my skin.
The cream comes in a tube which is a beautiful rose gold shade, and the outer cover is bright pink. I absolutely love the packaging because it is girly and cute.
Coverage wise, it spreads nicely and evenly and does not require too much massaging. Without effort, it blends well. But the thing I didn’t like about this CC cream is that it did not do what it claims in terms of covering any marks or dark circles. It did not brighten my face either.
I cannot apply it on a moisturized face as the CC cream is itself very moist. It would have been better if it was a little more matte. My overall experience with this CC cream hasn’t been positive. It wasn’t the one ultimate solution I was hoping for.

PROS

Evens out skin tone

Conceals dark spots and other small blemishes

Brightens complexion

Gets absorbed quickly

CONS

Does not conceal scars or heavier marks effectively

The cream is thick and creamy and I thought it would take time to blend into my skin, but it got absorbed quickly. It really blends well. You need to pick the right shade that suits your skin tone. The first time I picked this product out I picked the bronze shade, which is too dark for my fair skin. It looked fake. But now I use honey and beige, and they work like magic. They don’t entirely cover up marks, but they do a fine job of covering up dark spots. I have a scar on my chin and it covers it up when I just use the CC cream without make-up. The cream does not make your skin oily and it stays on longer during winters and in cool AC rooms. It doesn’t leave that cakey finish, but is smooth and feels good too. It freshens up the face and has the signature Lakme smell which I love.

PROS

Evens out skin tone

Blends well

Conceals blemishes

CONS

Artificial smell

Slightly powdery texture

This cream is worth the money you pay for it. First, let’s talk about the 9 to 5 factor. If you’re in an air conditioned room then it stays for about 7 hours, otherwise it lasts for only 5 hours. I have dark spots and a slightly darker skin tone so I use the bronze shade. Surprisingly, this cc cream does conceal those dark spots. Added to that, it has somehow reduced the puffiness under my eyes and also reduced dark circles. Not sure it’s meant to do that. My face feels fresh and I’ve noticed that there is a glow to it now. I’m not a fan of the artificial smell, but its a small price to pay for what all this cream does.

4/5

PROS

Protects from sun rays

Blends well

Mild smell

Brightens complexion

Conceals spots and other marks

Stays on the whole day

CONS

Initially powdery texture

I am a makeup crazy woman. I love looking good because it makes me feel good. So when I heard that Lakme was coming out with their new 9 to 5 CC cream range, I just had to try them all. I have a wheatish complexion and I know that the darker shades will look artificial on my skin, but I had to try it. The creams have a mild scent that isn’t overpowering. It concealed my blemishes wonderfully. I have oily skin and was worried that the CC cream would be sweated-out but that didn’t happen. It remained for the whole day. It hydrated my skin and I have noticed that it protects my skin from tanning. It feels powdery at first but once it gets absorbed, there’s no artificial finish. I love this product.
