Good for oily skin
Lasts for 8 hours
Separates after all day wear
I used this product a few years ago and when it got over, I switched to some other product. Just recently, I repurchased it. I am happy to have come back to it. I have super oily skin, like dripping oily. And every product I tried just did not stand up to its claims. But for this one, I can say it is pretty good for oily skin, neither too drying nor too greasy.
The formulation of this L'Oreal Paris Infallible Pro-Matte Foundation is impressive. It controls oil for 24 hours and is paraben-free and the consistency is also apt.
I use this product after prepping my skin with moisturizer and primer. I find this method makes my face appear glowy after I am finished with the makeup. I use a brush to blend in the product for maximum coverage. Although watery, it is highly pigmented and offers excellent coverage. It does feel light on the skin and dries to be demi-matte.
I have a habit of blotting the oil off of my face, but this foundation prevents me from doing that. At least for 8 hours, it controls the oil and shines on the face. It does not clog pores, but after 8 to 9 hours, it starts to separate. You either have to retouch or take it off completely.
I would not recommend this for people looking for a long-wear formula or with dry skin. It can be very drying for dry skin. Overall, it is a good foundation for an affordable price. However, I will keep looking for something better.

24-hour oil control
Does not cause acne
Doesn’t crease, crack, or settle into fine lines
Stays put all day long
Ideal for combination skin
The reason I am writing this review is because more people should come to know of this product and give this a try. A lot of people struggle to find the right combination of products that is matte, not too oily or dry, does not break them out, and last longer. Well, this foundation does everything and more.
I have combination skin, dry on the cheeks and super oily forehead, nose, and chin. Every product I ever used would only suit a part of my face, but this one is perfect for the entire face. The oil-control formula does not let my oil glands leak. And on the other side, it is hydrating enough for my dry cheeks, so they don’t get cracky or stretchy.
It lasts for as long as you want it to last. It only comes off when I remove my makeup with the makeup remover. It doesn’t even transfer all day long. This is indeed my holy grail, and I am never going to look for anything else.

Difficult to blend
Does not last long
I went with the hype. Since the time of its launch, everyone who used this product has been swearing by its ability to stand up to every claim L’Oreal makes. But, I don’t know what went wrong with me. I have oily skin, and this is not the right foundation for my skin.
First, it dries out so fast that I don’t have time to blend. If somehow I blend it, it only provides medium coverage and building up is impossible cause again, it dries out too soon. It also broke me out terribly — one of the worst foundations I ever used.

Easy to blend
Accentuates fine lines
This foundation is genuinely matte; I have to give it that. But, in the department of coverage, it doesn’t score well. It provides very light coverage and fails to cover most of the imperfections on my face. Building upon the product also doesn’t help much because it ends up looking cakey and coverage remains average. It also tends to crease around my eyes and nose and makes me look double my age.
It is lightweight, easy to blend, matte and long-lasting. But, just not what I am looking for.
