I like this foundation. I mean, no hard feelings. But, using this is like being in a race where you have to finish blending in a certain time or else you lose, meaning, you can’t blend anymore. I ordered the product online, and luckily, the shade matched my skin tone. I only use it on days when I have enough time on hand. You cannot dot the foundation all over the face and then start blending it because it dries. So, you have to cover patch by patch. It’s funny, but it works. Also, for my combination skin, moisturizing heavily is must or else it settles in dry spots. I am not a fan; it’s just a doable formula. I will only use this until the product lasts.

Mine is oily skin which sweats a lot during summers. So, after knowing that this product’s formula controls oil from the skin, so I thought to give it a try. Its price is also a bit affordable, Rs 595 for 30ml. So let me start my review with its packaging, This foundation comes in a pink tube, the colour which Lakme 9 to 5 CC cream has. This dark pink tube with nozzle dispenser is good to carry along in a handbag. Hence, this feature makes it travel-friendly product. However, I have noticed that once you apply this foundation the staying power is not at all 12 hours (as the brand claims). This hardly stays on my skin for nearly 5-6 hours!! ☹ Although the texture is smooth and soft, it has to be blend as soon you apply it on your face. As it gets to dry very soon leaving behind a cakey and a patchy look. As of now, I do not have many imperfections on my skin, so I believe that it gives good coverage and hides my minor skin imperfections. At the same time, it is capable to hide under eye dark circles evenly. One can skip using concealer if using this bright matte foundation. It has a medium creamy texture and gives a perfect matte look when applied and blended nicely. I prefer sponge over any brush or fingertips. It is a lightweight foundation. It also does not gives any dry feeling. However, this foundation is not so good for dry skin as it tends to dry more due to its ‘oil-control’ formula. My skin looks natural and comfortable after its usage. Hence, I can say that this foundation goes well with oily skin even during the summers; try not to apply this on winters as it dries your skin.

L’Oreal is one of the well known brand in India. L’Oreal has developed the L’Oreal Paris Mat Magique 12H Bright Mat Foundation by claiming it gives a matte finish by absorbing and controlling sebum production. It also claims to stand for 12 hours. Anything that says "it controls oil", I just go for it to try on me as I have an oily skin. L’Oreal Paris Mat Magique 12H Bright Mat Foundation comes in a pink tube with a screw type cap. The dispenser allows the right amount of product. The tube is handy and travel friendly. The price is affordable. L’Oreal Paris Mat Magique 12H Bright Mat Foundation is available in 5 shades which makes us difficult to choose a perfect one for our skin tone. The L’Oreal brand should introduce more shades. The product has a creamy consistency moreover like a liquid foundation but not too runny. It dries soon on application, so one should work on blending soon or it may end up being patchy. The texture is smooth and glides gently on application. I prefer to use a sponge over a brush for blending. It gives a full coverage for flawless skin with just an uneven tone. It gives a medium coverage over dark circles and blemishes. And those two could be covered using a concealer as well. It keeps skin hydrated for people with oily skin. People with dry skin should use a good moisturizer before it. Or it may settle in fine lines looking cakey. It doesn't last for 12 hours like it claimed to be. It stays on a maximum of 6 hours for oily skin. Use a compact powder over it to make it last for an extra 2 hours. It gives a semi matte finish. It has an SPF of 11 which makes us use it during daytime as it prevents harmful uv rays on a minimum range. You could use it as a BB cream.

PROS

I love trying out new products, especially foundations. Every brand is trying to design the best foundation, and there are so many formulations present in the market right now. When this L'Oreal Paris Mat Magique 12H Bright Mat Foundation was launched, I did not like its bright pink packaging. Also, it’s only available in 5 shades, like what were you thinking L’Oreal?I bought the shade G3, which was the closest to my skin tone, not an exact match. A lot of things are good with the product, and in a lot of sections, it fails. For my combination type skin, this foundation works just fine. The pink tube is easy to use. For the price, the quantity is also pretty good. The consistency is okay – neither too thick, nor too runny. It comes with this sebum control formulation and is super matte. It claims to last for about 12 hours and control oil production. Now, I will tell you what all claims this product lives up to.It's super hard to blend. It dries out to be matte so soon that if you don’t blend well on time, it stays patchy and streaky on the face. It does control oil a little but definitely does not stay put for 12 hours. It’s more like a BB cream for me, which I would wear when I am out for a few hours, under the AC. For winters, it’s terrible because again, it dries out pretty soon and does not suit the dry weather very well.

Best foundation for oily skin
5/5

PROS

I bought this foundation only because of its description saying ‘Oil Control’ everywhere. I have super oily skin and this product is a match made in heaven for my skin. I apply it in the morning while leaving to college, and it lasts all day long, easily for about 8 hours. It does not let my skin get oily and stays put.It looks and feels so natural, and my skin appears fresh and radiant throughout the day. The best part, it’s pocket-friendly, and I found the perfect match for my skin. I couldn’t ask for anything more. It’s like my search for the best foundation ends with this one.

I have dry skin. I shouldn’t have bought it in the first place. I tried working things out with this one, with primer, and with heavy-duty moisturizer, but nothing works. It dries so fast that you don’t get time to blend. And then, it dries and accentuates the dry patches and fine lines. It’s like it sucks the moisture out of my face (whatever is remaining). It’s just terrible.
