I never imagined a product could be so good at so many things. MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot was the Holy Grail I was looking for, and now that I have found it, there is no going back. I bought this product a couple of months back, and I wonder why I never gave it a try before. I love products that can be used for more than one purpose - traveling with them becomes easier, and you also save a little money.

I got this eyeshadow in the shade Painterly which is the perfect shade to use as a primer for the entire lid. And this shade also matches my natural skin tone, so I use it as a concealer to cover my dark spots. On days when I don’t want to go heavy on the eyes, Painterly does the perfect job of a stand-alone eyeshadow.

This product from MAC comes in a tiny glass pot, but the quantity is pretty good and a little product goes a long way. The texture of the product is creamy. I take the product on my finger and apply it on my lids. I then blend it with my fingers, spreading it all over. It dries pretty quuickly, so you have very little play time. But, once it’s settled, it doesn't cake or crease for about 10 hours!

Although the formula is creamy, it does not feel heavy on the skin. And therefore, I use it under my eyes to cover the dark circles and the few dark spots I have on my face. This product works well with everything that goes under or over it. There is no difficulty in blending, whatsoever.

It is a must buy for everyone, whatever your skin type is or whether you wear eyeshadows every day or not. It is available in a number of pretty shades, and I am soon going to buy the Frozen Violet shade as well.

Perfect introduction to eyeshadows!

I’m one of those people who does not know how to go about applying eyeshadows or create smokey eye looks and flaunt them. Daily, I only use a little CC cream and lipstick and step out of the home. My friends gifted me this MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot, and my instant thought was, what a waste it is for me, cause I don’t know what to do with it.

So, I checked out a few tutorials and thought of giving this thing a try. The shade I had was Soft Ochre, which was apparently the best for my yellow undertones.

I took a little product on my finger and started blending it on my eyelid. It felt a little hard to blend at first, but then it soon turned creamy. I applied it all over my eyelid and I was amazed. My eyes looked so bright, fresh, and beautiful. It was almost no effort. I left it on and it stayed the way it was for the whole day. This product can never be a waste for anybody!

Not a must buy

PROS

Long-lasting

Works well as a primer

Suitable for oily lids

CONS

Expensive

I got this product because the reviews impressed me, but I could have done without it. It is definitely not a must buy. The shade I got is Layin’ Low and it is a shade darker than my skin tone. I use it as a base and set my powdery eyeshadow over it.

It is an excellent product for those who have oily eyelids and use eyeshadows every day. But honestly, for me, it was a waste of money. I could have done with the regular primer and concealer I use.

MAC never disappoints!

PROS

None

Does not clog pores

Long-wearing

Highly-pigmented shades

Travel-friendly and sturdy packaging

CONS

None

I got these two shades - Perky and Indianwood - on a sale, and I’m happy with the products. I use them as eyeshadows, top them off with eyeliner and mascara, and that is it. I am not a pro eyeshadow artist, but using these paint pots is super easy, even for beginners.
