Does not crease or cake
Nykaa’s store recently opened in my city, and I went there to shop. One of the many things I bought from there was this much talked about and famous Maybelline New York The Nudes Eyeshadow Palette. I really liked all the colors, all nudes and beiges, and it was pretty affordable. Also, it has this nice description behind that tells you what all shades you can mix to create different looks.
The packaging is pretty good. It’s sturdy and travel-friendly. Also, 12 colors in a palette are amazing; you can create different looks for office, day-outs, and night-outs. Inside the palette, there was an applicator. It’s very, very tiny and has spongy tips. I have never seen anything so useless. It does absolutely nothing.
Moving on to the shades, half of the shadows are light, and half of the shades are dark. When I was buying this palette, I was hoping to create impressive looks by mixing the lights and the darks. But, just one swatch of these light colors took away all my hope, because they don’t show. There is very little pigmentation. I use these shades sometimes over the black eyeshadow to create a look. On naked eyes, a lot of swipes are needed to make the color stand out.
Dark colors are good. They are pigmented, don’t fall out and stay put for about 5 to 7 hours, with or without primer. Overall, a basic palette at an affordable price.

Great for beginners
Soft and smooth texture
Not very long-lasting
Falls out and spreads
Until two years back, I didn’t know what makeup was. I never used anything on my face except a moisturizer. Over this period, I have started trying out makeup, and as I’m still a beginner, I am trying to find out which things suit me and which don’t. Buying Maybelline New York The Nudes Eyeshadow Palette was also part of an experiment to understand eyeshadows and learn how to use them.
The palette is affordable and has a lot of nude shades. This is one reason I bought it, because I didn’t want to start experimenting with dark, bright colors.
I took help of the instructions behind the palette and started trying different looks. The first time I wore these eyeshadows outside, I was super impressed. My eyes made my efforts show, my makeup looked so on point, and I felt amazing. The staying power is okay as I could see the shimmer spreading out to my under-eyes also. But, other than that, there is nothing I did not like about the palette.

I think anyone who buys this palette is because of the pretty eyeshadow shades it comes with and the attractive packaging. I also bought the palette for the same reason. And, yes, it’s pocket-friendly, I did not mind spending my money on this.
This palette has a combination of light and dark colors, and they are curated to create different looks. But, the disappointing thing is that not all the colors are evenly pigmented. Some colors stand-out and some just don’t show. I use only the dark colors from the palette, the shimmery white one I use on the inner corners of my eyes and to highlight brows.

Bad color pay-off
I love Maybelline. The brand has impressive products, and I thought this product is also going to be amazing. I got the palette and tried swatching it on my hand. 3 to 4 swipes also wouldn’t show the color on my skin. Where is the pigmentation? The ‘intense black’ eyeshadow also looks like a dull grey. Not a fan.
