This shampoo comes with almond and shikakai....this one lathers well and cleanses scalp nicely....didn't help in improving hair texture ....just temporary results like shine and smoothness also has fragrance which lasts for 4-5 hours

Meera is a well known brand of 80's and early 90's. I remember my grandma using the old Meera sikakhai. I love the smell of sikakhai. It used to be in a powder form and we are supposed to mix it with water to get the semi solid consistency. As more new shampoos came into market by late 90's the old Meera sikakhai losts it's grace. Meera has comeback now with a new shampoo which is similar to other shampoo in it's consistency. It contains the benefits of the old sikakhai which is traditional with the added advantages of badam. Meera Hairfall Care Shampoo comes in a yellow plastic bottle with a brown flip cap. The bottle cap closes tightly and avoid leakage and hence travel friendly. It is available in various sizes based on the quantity. The price is affordable. The shampoo claims to reduce hair fall by up to 97%, giving you stronger and healthier hair. The shampoo is mustard in color. It has a thick gel consistency. It has an amazing smell which I like. I dilute the shampoo with water before applying it on scalp for easy lathering. It is a mild shampoo and could be used often. Oil your hair the previous night or 1 hour before shampooing based on your hair type. If you have a dry hair, you could oil mask your hair, the previous night and if you have oily hair 1 hour is enough for your scalp to be hydrated. Apply the diluted shampoo on wet scalp and massage well. After 2-3 minutes you could rinse it off. The shampoo cleans the scalp from dust and dirt caused by pollution and removes the oil from scalp. It makes the hair dry. I use a conditioner from other brand to prevent my hair from extreme dryness. People with dry hair may feel irritation and experience dry scalp as the shampoo dries the scalp. The shampoo gives a fragrance to hair which lasts for a day. It cleanses the scalp and hair. You could experience frizzes due to dryness, in that case you can use conditioner like me or use a serum later. This shampoo adds volume to hair.

My hair feels flawless!
4.5/5

PROS

I was unaware of this brand until my friend suggested it to me. Sadly the highly chemical-based products are ruling over the market not giving way to those mild ones, like this shampoo. At least that’s what I feel.I purchased this shampoo based on my friend’s recommendation, and now, I’m almost done with the bottle. I don’t know exactly how long it has lasted me, but it has been quite some time, maybe around four months. When I first started using it, I wasn’t sure if I liked it because like everyone else, I am also brand conscious. So, I was evaluating it very closely as I needed just one excuse to stop using it, and that never happened. The consistency is perfect for me as it forms good lather. It cleanses my greasiness and washes off dirt with ease. Post washing, my hair feels light and flawless. My hair fall has amazingly reduced. Wait…. Before you make any fast conclusions, I will like to add that it is impossible for just a bottle of shampoo to cure hair fall. In my case also, it’s the same. I am using this shampoo along with oiling my hair thrice a week. This shampoo is a booster that strengthens the hair and makes it less prone to breakage.I like this shampoo, and I will be repurchasing it.

Cleans well, but no effect on hair fall
3.5/5

PROS

Meera Hairfall Care Shampoo comes in a yellow sturdy plastic bottle with a red open-flip cap. The shampoo has a thick gel-like consistency and is light brown. It has a pleasing fragrance, almost similar to green apples. It has been over five months since I started using this shampoo, and I will say that it cleanses my scalp very well. It gives me a squeaky clean look everytime I use it. Although it contains SLS and other chemicals, it has not caused any kind of problem to my hair, so I’m good with it.The only minus point of this shampoo is that I haven’t seen any changes in my hair fall when its primary motive is to do just that. But, it hasn’t aggravated it either. Overall, it is a mild shampoo and does good work at keeping the hair clean.

consistency is too thick
3/5

PROS

The consistency of this shampoo is the thickest out of all the other shampoos I have used so far. For that, I have to dilute it first and then apply. I don’t like the extra work. And because of the thick consistency, it takes time to make the shampoo come out of the bottle. So, what I do is, I keep it upside down. After I am done with this shampoo bottle, I don’t think I am going to use it again.
