Neutrogena is pretty decent face wash which is ideal for oily skin. It is easily available. I got combination skin and when I used it, I slightly felt stretchy on my cheeks. You can shop it on some good discounts from various websites.

Effectively fights acne
Not suitable for dry skin
After reading good reviews about Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash, I purchased because I have some pimples on my face and I have very oily skin as this was advertised as number one product advised by Dermatologists for fighting acne-fighting cleanser. This oil-free formula cleanses deep down into pores for clear skin as it contains salicylic acid to get rid of acne and prevents future breakouts. I have always used facial cleansers as I drive my bike to the office every day and tend to wash my face once I reach the destination. Most of the time, I spend too much to get all kinds of cleansers around the world. I have been looking forward to the oil-free acne wash from Neutrogena for a long time, and I finally got this. First off, I am going to tell you a little about my skin and then about my experience with this product. I found the Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash effectively fight acne and does what it claims to do; I would say about 85% effective on the acne front. Cleans the skin super well and gets rid of the dirt and makeup as well. After using the wash, the surface doesn’t dry at all, and I think it is suitable for all types of skin. The liquid doesn’t contain any parabens as well. The packaging is very convenient, travel-friendly with a pump that locks and unlocks very quickly. I found the smell of the Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash is okayish. I prefer the Neutrogena team to improve on that aspect. In terms of price, the Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash is on par for a 175 ml. Overall, Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash is productive. It is also oil-free and non-drying and contains special skin soothing agents to prevent your skin from getting irritated.

Gentle on skin
I have struggled with acne from my teenage years. I tried many home remedies, but some of them only made it worse. Doctors prescription meds would make me nauseous, and the creams would work till I used them. Eventually, I lost hope and made peace with it. But somewhere at the back of my mind, my acne would still bother me.
Then I heard about Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash. I used this for 2 weeks before dropping in a review. This cleans the skin gently by removing oil and dirt. The skin will feel fresh, but it will be dry, ‘cause acne is caused by oil in the pores, and this removes it all. So a follow up with toner and moisturizer is a must.
The ones who have been suffering from acne like me will know that it is recommended to find a face wash with salicylic acid. This face wash has it, and that's what causes the drying of the skin. But these chemicals are needed to cure acne.
This is a cost-effective and sure shot way to manage your acne problems. Go ahead and try out one bottle to see results. Wait for two weeks to take a call on the same.

Contains salicylic acid
Doesn’t work with cystic acne
I have used a lot of creams, face washes and pills to treat my cystic acne. It has always been a hit and miss with each. The same thing happened with Neutrogena face wash too. This is one of those acne washes that contain salicylic acid, which is a good thing.
As the cost is reasonable, I decided to try it out and test my luck. First thing I noticed was that my face was dry. This was a good sign considering how the acid functions. I used the wash for a month and compared weekly results. My acne has a mind of its own. So every week, it behaved differently. I am still not sure if its because of the wash or something internal.
But the face wash didn't make my acne any worse. So yeah, this works okayish with ones who struggle with cystic acne. And I can't vouch for other kinds of acne.

Dries out skin
Severe allergic reaction
They should have a disclaimer on the damn bottle. Millions like me won't know that they might be allergic to the key ingredient of the wash. I used it, and my face started to itch after 5 mins. I just assumed it was because of dryness and went on to soothe myself with a moisturizer and then went to bed.
I woke up an hour later with a red, swollen and patchy face. I had a severe allergy to something that I was unaware of. I had to rush to the ER to figure out what happened. It turns out I was allergic to the acid present in the wash.
If a product contains a severe allergen, shouldn't they mention it on the bottle and ask consumers to do a patch test before using it on their face? Absolutely disappointed with this sort of irresponsibility.

My face is extremely dry. Clean, but dry. I have to use coats of moisturizer to feel better. It has helped me with my acne. But I don't want to get rid of a problem to get into another. This should come as a combo - wash & moisturizer. Something strong enough to handle the dryness it creates.
