Not a very good foundation

PROS

Rimmel Stay Matte Liquid Mousse Foundation comes in a tube form with a twistable cap. It is a creamy based mousse foundation which gives a matte effect. The tube is very small and it doesn’t have much quantity. The packaging is very average and so is the product. The foundation suits oily skin and gets blended well. It doesn’t look greasy on oily skin but it does make dry skin look drier. The foundation gets glided smoothly in to the skin and gives a smooth finish but it gives a heavy feel on the skin. The foundation does not last very long and it is not waterproof. In summers, it is not a very good product. It gets wear off easily and does not last for more than 2-3 hours. There are 11 shades to choose from and one can easily find it matched according to every skin tone. It ivory shade that I picked up suits fir to medium skin tone. It provides medium coverage and conceals light uneven patches. It gives a heavy feel which does not look good when applies under the eyes for dark circles. If you have dark circles and are looking for a foundation to cover it then I would not suggest it. Price wise it is not very expensive but the foundation is not that good either. I am not very happy with it and would not recommend it to others. It is not worth buying it at all.

Oily skin users this is for you!!

PROS

Rimmel Stay Matte Liquid Mousse Foundation is an oil-free, lightweight foundation. Really? I don’t think so. Why do makers bring so many foundations in to the market. Aren’t they just satisfied already. Or is it that they just want to make it big every time. So much competition is it!! Gosh, that’s a good and a bad thing. Rimmel Stay Matte Liquid Mousse Foundation is not for the dry skin. It’s meant only for the combination skin or the oily skin. This foundation appears patchy and all caked up on the dry skin. For the oily skin is suppose it settles well. The moisture is locked and the skin appears to be line free or oil free. The product is light weight. Can be carried everywhere and is affordable. The redness of the skin is less visible and the freckles don’t show much. Which is a very big benefit!! But then all this works exactly opposite for the dry skin users. It does not long last. Wears out very quickly. Appears very cakey and patch. Makes the skin even more dry. The lines are very much visible. They don’t cover the dark spots as well. Its very much a problem for dry skin users. Rimmel Stay Matte Liquid Mousse Foundation is an oil-free. Yes it has to be oil free as there is no moisture provided for the dry skin. For an oily skin or the combination skin users this foundation would do it’s job. For me it did not!! The colour range is vast. I suppose there are 24 or 20 shades. Not really sure but then they do have a variety to choose from basis your skin tone. For the oily finish skin users I am sure this foundation would give a matte finish as well. If my oily skin friends you are reading his review, go and get it. For my fellow dry skin users, please do not.

liquid foundation

PROS

Wide variety of shades to chose

Affordable

Rimmel Stay Matte Liquid Mousse Foundation - I have never used liquid foundations, and when I saw the Rimmel stay matte it was quite instigating for me to try on. The best feature of this foundation is the matte effect, as the face is oily, and I always prefer to get the matte finish. The packaging is handy with a squeeze tube and a twist cap. I believe there are eleven shades to choose from, which can be matched with different skin tones. I have applied it to my face with just a single squeeze and spread the dots across my face. The texture is very soft and glides effortlessly on the skin. The method is follow is recommended by makeup experts across the world. First wash my face with a soft cleanser, proceed with applying a water based moisturizer with in 2 mins of cleansing. This helps absorb the moisture the best. Then i go on to apply a gel primer. This helps me apply my foundation evenly, without it being patchy or cakey afterwards. After application, I notice my skin looks fresh and bright and this foundation does not make your skin greasy. The staying power I saw is only two to three hours and can improve. The foundation did not annoy my skin and minimized the pores on my skin. The formulation is great it terms of giving me a smooth even look. But that also matters with the way you apply it. Follow the process i mentioned for best results. Without which i am sure there is going to be a cakey feeling for sure. I tried it and failed miserably. The price I guess it was around 450 to 500 Indian rupees. The heaviness of the mousse formula can breakout and has a sheen. As the name suggests, I couldn’t see any liquid foundation and performs averagely. Overall, I would not recommend to every due to its less lasting power.
