Well what comes in mind when you hear shahnaz husain?her face actually and The ayurvedic and herbal products right. you will find most of the products with this brand right from Kajal's to lotions.so this ayuvedic fairness soap was actually gifted by a friend of mine. It has been a while since I used this .I feel fairness soaps are just a marketing gimmick and personally I would not spend my money on buying some fairness product that too a soap do I really think any product can enhance the fairness and mind it a soap really? It is an Ayurvedic soap which contains natural ingredients like turmeric, saffron, lemon, arishtak, cucumber seeds, honey and oats, with a gentle dermabrasive action on the skin. It actually claims that it leaves the skin cleaner, brighter and visibly fairer, making it appear soft, radiant and youthful. The soap is white in colour and i feel a little heavy too. I do not think I would use it or take it while travelling because I prefer travelling light .the fragrance is not overpowering and fine . It lathers fine .it is a bit heavy to hold too . I have used this soap on my face and body too .I feel it cleanses your skin from within. As far as fairness is concerned i am not sure but it will help remove the tan from my face.but I found this soap a but drying post washing and found dry patches . You need to apply moisturizer post bath I personally think it does not suit people who have dry skin. It is not that cheap but overall an affordable product but I do not think I would spend money on fairness soap next time

I have very dry skin. I was looking for a body cleanse which cleans my skin effectively and keeps it moistured. I found most of the body cleansers been made up of very harmful chemicals and doesn't contain any natural ingredients. As a result of using those body cleanse, my skin became even more dry. Shahnaz Husain Shafair Ayurvedic Fairness Soap is a normal soap launched or made under the giant Shahnaz Hussain. Back then when we were not introduced to a lot of international products, shahnaz Hussain was every households name in the need of cosmetic products. Back then in the 90’s she was the guru for a lot of products and problems related to skin and hair. I still laugh at the thought of having one self’s photo on any package that you make. I still hate an product that endorses fairness. For me it’s a big no. But then, mom had bought this one and I was forced to use it. This was an old story. I don’t buy this product anymore because I don’t like the concept of soaps anymore. This soap had the goodness of lemon, turmeric, saffron and cucumber. I was just ok with the use of the soap. But then I very clearly remember that I ended up using a lot of moisturiser after the use of the soap. The soap definitely made my skin more dry. I even told mom that I didn’t like it because I ended up using Vaseline quite a lot. She told me that the weather was bad and the soap was just great. I was so forced on with this. But then, I didn’t have any say. But now I definitely do and hence would not recommend this one to the dry skin users. The soap takes a lot of time to work makes your skin dry and also I felt I my skin has patches left after the use of the soap. The cost is definitely cheap and hence probably tagged under affordable. But then I really didn’t like it. I would not want to ever buy it. Other, think over it and then go for it.

Shafaiir soap comes in simple and unattractive packaging. It has a pure white cardboard box. The soap bar is also plain white. It is not at all eye-catching. The soap has natural ingredients which help in bringing a natural glow. Shahnaz Husain is a very well-known brand in skincare. It brings out quality products at affordable prices. The products are all herbal based, and there are no harmful ingredients. This soap brings a natural glow and brightens the skin tone. It works against the pigmentation caused by sun exposure and works on dark spots. I find it pretty okay to use. It does not cause skin dryness and keeps the hydrated skin post its use. The skin appears soft and youthful. I liked the fragrance of this soap which is not very strong. The price is not very cheap but affordable.

I am always attracted to the term Ayurvedic. It gives me some comfort in buying and trying the product. I generally do not use soaps much but hearing some good reviews decided to try this. It comes in a simple packaging with Shanaz Hussain picture on it. I did not pay too much heed on the ingredients presuming it had all the right content to make it being called an Ayurvedic soap. The soap is pretty heavy in weight hence I found it difficult to use. Holding it whilst bathing was a challenge. It kept slipping and falling off my hands every now and then which was a big put off. It can be applied on the face and body but I always avoid my face due to a over sensitive skin. I applied it with a lot of difficulty over my skin. It has a neutral odor and nothing too great or impressive about it. It lathers well and can be washed off easily. I felt my body feeling nice and clean after bathing with it. It did make my skin feel soft too. However I am not sure how they claim it to be fairness soap. It does nothing with the complexion at all. Over some weeks I did find my skin drying up after using the soap. Hence it is important to use a moisturizer after bathing with this soap. I would recommend people with a sensitive or dry skin to avoid using this on the face as it may make the skin more dry. Overall an average product which can be avoided as it will not make your complexion fair in any way. I am also not very clear on how they claim to call it an Ayurvedic soap.
