It’s no secret that Sushant Singh Rajput was an incredible human being. Not only was the actor an incredible talent, but he was extremely philanthropic and open about his humble beginnings. The actor was candid about coming from nowhere and making it big in Bollywood. He had joked about how when he quit engineering and moved to Mumbai he had no idea he’d be sharing a 1 room apartment with five other guys. As someone who literally started from the bottom and made it to the top, he was respected by a lot of fans. After the actor won the hearts of tv serial viewers with Pavitra Rishta, he made a fantastic big-screen debut with Kai Po Che. Sushant always lent an ear to his fans during times of distress and this time he proved he was listening when he donated a whopping 1 Crore to Kerala flood relief during the devastating 2018 floods after spotting a fan’s comment. The fan commented how he wanted to donate some food since he had no money and Sushant promised he would donate the money in the fan’s name. Sushant kept to his word and later posted the screenshot and tagged the fan in question and wrote, “As promised (to you) my friend, what you wanted to do has been done. You made me do this. So be extremely proud of yourself. You delivered exactly when it was needed. Lots and lots of love. My Kerala.”
After news of his passing made rounds, the chief minister of Kerala, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan took to his Twitter account to remember the young star and recall how he helped the state during its time of need. He wrote, “We are deeply saddened to hear of the death of Sushant Singh Rajput. His early demise is a great loss to the Indian film industry. Our heartfelt condolences to his family, friends & supporters. We take a moment to remember his support during the time of the Kerala flood.”

The actor was seen smiling happily and feeding the little girl on the sets of his film, Sonchiriya. After his untimely passing, the actor’s Sonchariya co-star, Ranveer Shorey released a statement saying, “It wouldn’t be fair to blame someone for a step that he took himself. He was playing a high stakes game, where it’s win or lose it all. But something has to be said about the self-appointed ‘gatekeepers of Bollywood’. Something has to be said about the games they play, and their two facades.” The actor was later spotted attending Sushant’s funeral.
