Time is a cruel thief to rob us of our former selves. We lose as much to life as we do to death

Not only is it very relaxing, but it is also said to improve the blood circulation in your face. Face massage also helps in toning the muscles of your face, thereby keeping those pesky wrinkles at bay. Before doing this exercise, wash your hands and your face. Then, start massaging your face by moving your fingers upwards from the lower part of your forehead to its upper part, towards your hairline.

You can also massage your scalp by moving your fingertips in circular motions. After this, move towards your cheeks and pat them towards your temples. You need to do this for about 20 times around twice or thrice a week to get noticeable results.

This exercise is also supposed to help in getting rid of the double chin. In order to do this exercise, you need slightly cold water, a tablespoon of salt and a towel. First of all add the salt to the water, then fold the towel in half and soak it in the salty water. Now, take the ends of the towel and pat your chin with it. Do this step ten times. After that swap the cold water with lukewarm water. Repeat the same step using the lukewarm water.

Yes, the exercise is as simple as its name. It is supposed to aid in the strengthening of facial muscles that might have weakened over time and help with diminishing the wrinkles. All you have to do in this exercise is recite the alphabet. The act of pronouncing “O” or “X” can help you tone your facial muscles. Doing this a couple of times a day can be a great start to your anti-aging beauty ritual.

Don’t get confused by the name of this exercise, it certainly does not involve you doing somersaults. All you have to do is, first close your eyes and then place your hands on your forehead and press gently. While doing this, try to move your eyeballs clockwise. Doing this exercise can help you get rid of the fine lines around your eyes and nose.

Another part of this exercise involves you holding air in your mouth. It’s called puffing. Breathe air in and hold it in your mouth. Then try shifting that air from one cheek to another, do this step for 10 seconds. This exercise is supposed to help with sagging cheeks as well as wrinkles near the mouth.

5. Funny Faces

These exercises not only give you a chance to restore the vitality to your face but they also give you a chance to indulge in some light-hearted fun. All you need to do as a part of this exercise is to make a funny face. You can do that by raising your eyebrows so that they are at their highest point. Or you can stick your tongue out and try to touch your chin with it. Both of these are good ways to get a laugh as well as tone up your facial muscles.

6. Clown Face

This is quite a popular technique which aims to tone the muscles which are required for smiling, helping us keep those smile lines at bay for a little longer. All you have to do in this exercise is to smile as wide as possible ( Remember Joker from Dark Knight? Exactly like that). Follow this step by wrinkling your nose and wiggling your eyebrows. Do this for about 10 seconds. Next, stop smiling and slightly lower your chin for around 5 seconds. Repeat the entire exercise for 5 minutes. Repeat this thrice a week to get noticeable results.

However, do remember that apart from doing these exercises, you also need to take care of your skin by moisturizing it properly, avoiding sun-damage by wearing sunscreen and having a proper diet along with plenty of sleep (1).
