The Bollywood blockbuster Chennai Express starring Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone shows off the state of Tamil Nadu beautifully. Known as the Pink City of India, Jaipur is famous for its tourist attractions like the Jalmahal Palace, Hawa Mahal, Jala Mahal, and Nahargarh Fort. Shudh Desi Romance brings out the essence of the city and its vibrance throughout the movie, especially in the song Gulabi.

8. Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi

Anushka Sharma’s movie debut, Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi is a fun, real and heartwarming rendition of the trials of an arranged marriage. It shows us the marvelous city of Amritsar and we cannot help but fall in love with it. The mesmerizing Golden Temple and the houses with massive terraces capture the essence of Punjab. Let’s not forget about the scene where the jodi has a gol-gappa eating contest; it shows us the magnificence of the street food and leaves our mouths watering.

9. Daawat-e-Ishq

Bet you cannot walk away from this movie without craving sheek kebabs. The movie shows us the streets of Lucknow in all its glory. Famous for its handicrafts, perfumes, and kivam, Lucknow is unique in its own way. It is called the city of Nawabs and Parineeti Chopra and Aditya Roy Kapoor’s film Daawat-e-Ishq did absolute justice to the city.
