Ananya Panday stole the show in this dazzling piece and won the hearts of fans worldwide. The Pati Patni Aur Woh actress captioned the picture with the phrase “Rise and Shine”. This was a meme trending on social media after make-up tycoon, Kylie Jenner greeted her daughter with it. Clearly Ananya loves to Keep Up With The Kardashians (wink).
2. Anushka Sharma
Anushka Sharma isn’t often seen in ethnic wear, but when she does, she shines! Lehengas took over the year and Anushka shows us exactly how to do it! Her outfit rocked our feeds and fashionistas and fans were completely enamored by her exquisitely-designed outfit. Her fantastic Diwali look was a Sabyasachi piece. The outfit featured a botanical motif that was specially designed for the starlet. Talk about adding a multicolored twist to an already multicolored outfit!
3. Parineeti Chopra
Parineeti stole everyone’s hearts when she donned this glittery piece. The netted design impressed tonnes of her fans and truly proved to be a Diwali stunner. Her style is a total ode to the modern desi vamp we’ve come to see on the big screens today.

Shararas beat other salwar styles amongst our favorite celebrities and Shraddha Kapoor showed us exactly how to work it! The gorgeous starlet donned legendary fashion designer Manish Malhotra’s creation to Expo 2020. Her look was probably one of the most unique looks to come out of 2019.
5. Sara Ali Khan
The adorably candid actress stole the show in her gorgeous straight pantsuit. Sara graced our instagram feeds in a gorgeous embellished and mirrored suit with broad sleeves. The actress adds a touch of grace to her already splendid outfit by pairing it with large chandbali earrings. Talk about giving desi girl a new modern twist!
6. Alia Bhatt
Alia Bhatt rocked the 2019 Star Screen Awards in this gorgeous rainbow-esque Sabyasachi piece. The brilliant and versatile actress won an award for her portrayal of sassy Safeena in Gully Boy. Her colorful saree contrasted well against the purple lights in this picture and we can’t get over it!
7. Deepika Padukone
While chokers aren’t new in the scene, it’s no secret that they are absolutely stunning to look at. Deepika usually plays it safe but decided to give her ivory and gold saree a special edge with this gorgeous accessory. Her pearl and stone studded choker goes absolutely beautifully with her stylish outfit.

The tassels on the pallu of the saree made this a very fascinating piece and we adore Katrina for going bold with her outfit. The gossamer like nude-peach colored saree truly inspires us to give the look a shot and we hope to see this bombshell grace our phone screens with even more stunning lewkss.

Piggy Chops gave us a total vintage vibe in this gorgeous polka dotted piece and we were living for it. The Barfi actress and original desi girl is known for her rocking outfits and her gorgeous sarees. She is often seen wearing midriff baring sarees so this is a relatively more tame avatar for her. Not that we mind. She looks incredible in any outfit she wears, whether it’s western or desi.
10. Janhvi Kapoor
The rising star looked absolutely stunning in her gorgeous lavender avatar. The silvery saree truly made the actress look ever more gorgeous than she usually does. Like her mother, Janhvi too is often seen sporting lovely albeit more modern sarees. What we love about this look is the dewy faced makeup and adorable smile we’ve come to recognize her by. The Dhadak actress recently made headlines for rocking a saree once worn by her late mother, Sridevi, at an event. The saree was a tribute to the actress’s late mother’s legacy and left many of beloved Sridevi’s fans teary eyed.
