Beyonce Rocks The Desi Avatar In Coldplay’s ‘Hymn For The Weekend’

Filmed in Mumbai, this mini-epic video featuring Beyonce and Sonam Kapoor has already gained a lot of fame. The video has been shot in India with the intention of celebrating the vibrant and mystic hues of the country. However, the song has received a lot of criticism for showing a “stereotypical” portrayal of India.
Beyonce is looking fabulous in this bold and mesmerizing avatar. Her contoured and highlighted face and neck, and her signature metallic eye makeup is simply stunning. To complement this look, she wore a matte lipstick in the trending berry color. She is seen sporting soft brows, and donning an exotic floral head gear and a very heavily embroidered deep neck long gown with a cape.
In this frame, Beyonce is wearing generous amounts of kohl, looking very regal and desi. The frosty lip color complements her beautiful golden complexion. Rani, a.k.a. Beyonce, has worn a typical designer lehenga choli with a heavy dupatta. Her accessories are simply wow. She has also applied mehendi and blingy stickers to her hands to give her getup an Indian touch. Add to it the changing psychedelic background, and the effect is unforgettable.

The video has sparked an intense conversation on social media. And yes, there is a 3.5 second cameo of Sonam Kapoor as well, where she is seen wearing traditional Indian clothes, looking very princessy, if you will. We totally loved Beyonce’s Indian avatar! It had the right blend of sweet and spicy, truly global desi!
