4 Food Items That Celebrities Do Not Eat

If there is a starry world whose existence we can’t doubt, it has to be the starry world of Bollywood. The men of Bollywood maybe earning more than the ladies, but it is the leading ladies of Bollywood who are the most influential out here. They are treated nothing lesser than goddesses by their fan base which follows whatever they do or say, with high regard. But this power comes at a price.

They have the most enviable bodies, don’t they? And if you think that it’s a bed of roses for them to stay that way, well, it actually isn’t!

There’s a lot of hard work that goes into looking like they do, their glorious best. They are required to stay miles away from their most favorite foods; they need to work out for long durations (almost hours) on most days of the week. They also have a planned diet chart, and they need to stick to it, come what may. We really wonder how these actresses manage to pull off this feat of looking gorgeous day and night, every damn day! We recently found out that one way they are able to do that is by barring certain food items from their lives. We’re presenting to you four such food items, that our most beloved Bollywood actresses don’t consume at all. Have a look:

1.Sugar

This is the most addictive item in the food world, isn’t it? If you haven’t noticed, it’s present in everything — right from your morning breakfast of oats to your light, after-dinner treats. It undoubtedly makes your food taste better, like way better! But, Bollywood divas (like Jacqueline Fernandez) are strictly against making processed sugar a part of their diet. And we know why, right? Sugar is nothing but calories. And by including it in your food you’re just adding empty calories to your diet. In fact, consuming a lot of sugar will prompt your body to store more fat inside it.

Excessive consumption of sugar is related to various chronic diseases like heart conditions, inflammations, type 2 diabetes, cholesterol problems, etc. (1). This sugar, which is often looked at as a taste enhancer is no innocent being at all, it always poses a sweet danger to our lives. And this is precisely why sugar-free diets have become a favorite fad for our celebs.

2. Milk

Yes, many of our Bollywood beauties avoid milk too. While Bollywood actress Parineeti Chopra says that she doesn’t consume milk because it doesn’t suit her, Alia Bhatt claims that she does consume it, but only if it’s all-organic and is of a low-fat version.

Wondering why milk needs to be avoided? After all, milk is considered to be a storehouse of all things good, right? Turns out that milk and in general, all of the dairy products, contain varying amounts of lactose (it’s the milk sugar). This apparently slows down the process of weight loss. Even the protein present in milk generates a response to insulin, this too doesn’t help anybody who is on a weight loss spree. So obviously, our Bollywood heroines certainly have to avoid it to stay fit and lean!

3.Yogurt

Yogurt is good alright! It’s filled with calcium, potassium, and proteins. It’s a probiotics heaven! However, Bollywood’s most stylish, Sonam Kapoor Ahuja maintains a safe distance form it. She says that once upon a time (when she was an avid foodie), she loved having yogurt with everything. However, now she has completely eliminated it from her diet because of her sensitive stomach. Why? Well, you must’ve heard about lactose-intolerance, right? That’s why!

Also, just one cup of sweetened yogurt has as many calories as are there in a scoop of ice cream (2). And not to forget, it’s loaded with carbs which definitely don’t contribute to a healthy body. However, unsweetened or Greek yogurt are considerably healthy. So, next time, consider having that when you have yogurt cravings.

4. Rice

White rice screams “carbs”, which is precisely why most Bollywood’s leading ladies, including the current reigning queen Deepika Padukone, choose to stay away from it. For weight loss reasons, a majority in Bollywood have shunned rice from their everyday diet. Reducing carb intake has a lot of healthy benefits — it increases the fat-burning rate of your body, your belly becomes flatter, your muscles get stronger, you even end up reducing your risk of getting diabetes! All of these will lead to a healthier and fitter you!

If you still have those rice cravings, you can always look for alternatives like brown rice, red rice, or cauliflower rice. They are the healthier versions!

The above food items sure do make for tasty morsels. They’ll surely give you those quick thrills, but when the queens of Bollywood avoid them, you know that you should too, right?
