Have you ever wished you could fly? To soar into the sky with your wings and gaze over the rest of the world. Well, these celebrities definitely can. And no, they’re not magicians and neither do they ride around on brooms like Harry Potter. We mean that these celebrities can fly and have received training to fly their very own planes. The sky’s the limit when it comes to luxuries that a celebrity can afford. And in the case of the following celebrities, this definitely holds true. 1. Amitabh Bachchan
What better way to begin our list than with the power of Big B himself? The multi-talented megastar opened up about how when he was younger, he had big dreams of joining the Air Force. During an interview, the Don actor joked about how he might be able to land the plane in the case of an emergency landing. Well, if it means being on the same plane as him, we’re ready to take that chance.
2. Shahid Kapoor
What can’t this man do? During the filming of Mausam in 2011, rather than dealing with a professional body-double to fly the F16 fighter plane, Shahid himself received professional training. The Padmaavat actor lived every man (and woman’s) dream when he co-piloted the American Lockheed Martin at Aero India 2011 in Bangalore. Along with his co-pilot, Paul Wendell, the actor performed a 360 degree loop, participated in a mock drill and went up to 6G in speed. While this may sound like a dream for many, Shahid had to give up drinking liquids for four hours before his flight and give up eating solids for 16 hours before (minus 2 chocolate bars). All this for a film? Give this man a Filmfare!
3. Gul Panag
Not only is this gorgeous lass a talented actress, model, and politician, she’s a professional pilot too. Yes, you read that right; a certified professional pilot. The Hello actress spoke about how during college she used to daydream about soaring high into the skies when her army father was posted in Patiala. In 2015, the actress enrolled in a five-week-long course in hobby flying at the Chimes Aviation Academy located in Madhya Pradesh. Don’t get too excited though, as her license only lets her charter private planes and not commercial ones. She spoke candidly about how she wouldn’t have gotten where she is without the love and support of her pilot husband, Rishi Attari. The actress even revealed plans to fly her husband on a cross country flight from Sagar to Khajuraho. The actress also has plans on buying a personal plane for herself very soon.
4. Vivek Oberoi
Sources close to the actor claim that he enrolled in a flying school in the state of Florida, USA. The actor learned how to fly a two-seater Cessna aircraft for his role in the movie Krrish 3. It was later reported that the actor had applied for a pilot’s license and wished to buy a small aircraft. The actor plans on flying the aircraft from his home in Amby valley.
5. Asin
The Ghajini actress is a certified adrenaline junkie and planes aren’t the only mode of transport she can chart. During a trip to Lake Como, Italy, the actress and her co-pilot cruised the skies of the idyllic lake in a sea-plane. Detailing her entire journey on Instagram, the excited actress described the experience as 30 of the most exhilarating moments of her life. She shared images of the insanely gorgeous view and a sneak peek of her flying the plane with the hashtag #cooldoesntevenbegintodescribeit
6. Sushant Singh Rajput
The Kai Po Che actor is known for his impressive acting chops and adorable, dimpled smile. The 33-year-old actor recently expressed how flying was a major part of his bucket list and he was glad to be living his dreams. In the video he posted, the actor can be seen sitting in the cockpit of a plane along with his pilot and clear blue skies on the horizon. The posts impressed the actor’s fans and many took to Instagram to express how happy they were for him. The handsome, young star also shared other bits of his bucket list. Some of them include: learning Morse code, help kids learn about space and teaching visually impaired individuals how to code (we’re not swooning, are you?). Another person who showered the actor’s bucket list post with love was the actor’s girlfriend, Rhea Chakraborty. She left an adorable comment on his post saying, “I saw you the other day, you look like a dreamer.”
