Mums. You can’t live with them. You can’t live without them. Parenting is no easy task and as we grow older we slowly start to understand the way moms work a little bit better. Even if you don’t have children yet or don’t plan on having them anytime soon, you would be able to relate to at least one if not all of these mom moments. You’d be lying if you said you couldn’t relate to the one with the bed, at least (wink). Here’s a list of Bollywood gifs and mom moments that we think are relatable AF:

1. When Your Kid Tells You They Want To Eat Extra Veggies

Every mom knows there’s no task more difficult than getting a kid to eat vegetables. So you can imagine our surprise when our kids don’t just agree to eat their veggies, but also ask for extra. Feeding picky eater kids can be quite a Herculean task so when they do something nice, it feels extra special.

2. When Your Kid Walks In On You During One Of Your Midnight Binges

Let’s face it. It’s hard to beat temptation sometimes. Especially when it’s a warm night and your refrigerator is beckoning you to come closer. While it might be easy to get lost in the act of binging on your favorite food, you often forget that you live with multiple other people. It’s awkward when you get caught eating a tub of ice cream sitting on the kitchen floor while you had forbidden your kid to touch the dessert.

3. When You Successfully Meet The Deadline At Work And Your Boss Compliments You

No, we’re not calling you a suck-up but who doesn’t love being complimented by their superiors? Considering how many people your boss probably has to manage, getting their attention is a form of happiness that knows no bounds. As a mom, it’s very difficult to achieve that perfect work-life balance and you’re often left juggling between not just your career, but your husband’s career, your children’s health and education and so much more. So, meeting a tight deadline and getting noticed for it makes you feel like you’re on cloud 9.

4. When Your Son Breaks The Window Of Someone’s House

Boys will be boys. But this boy is about to get the best spanking of his life when the two of you get back home. But first, you have to put on your apology face and drag him by the ear to the neighbor’s house. Along with an apology letter, some flowers, and tissues in case the woman next door starts to cry. Ah! These situations are the worst.

5. When Your Husband Tells You Your Son Scored A Bad Grade But You Already Knew About It

Oh, the scandal! This is definitely your husband’s doing. After all, how can YOUR child get a bad grade right? Your husband is probably mad because he overheard a neighborhood uncle calling your son a ‘bad boy’. Pfft, the only thing bad about this boy is his dietary habits.
Don’t go too easy on him however, you’re not called Tiger mom for nothing.

6. When You Come Home After A Long Day Of Work

Who doesn’t love coming home and pouncing into bed? Whether your workday is flexible or you work excruciating hours or you’re a housewife, there’s nothing a mom can relate to more than getting done with a long day of work. Your first instinct is probably to crash into bed but you know you have to make sure your kids are tucked in and the left over dinner is locked and loaded. Being a mom is hard! It’s okay if we’re a little dramatic, right?

7. When You Overhear Your Colleagues Gossiping About You

It’s easy to chime in and listen in when the gossip is about someone else, but nothing grinds your gears more than your colleagues ganging up and bitching about you. Sure, your colleagues might not mean it maliciously but it still pricks at your ego a little bit. You feel like your personal life is not up for discussion to anybody. But hey, all’s fair in love and war.

All said and done, being a mom is not an easy feat and we should all go and hug our moms and tell them exactly how much we love them. Now that we’re at an age where we can finally understand the number of sacrifices and compromises our mothers had to make to raise her kids, she deserves every bit of appreciation for it. What did you think of this list? Could you relate to these mom moments?
