Weddings are fun, but Indian weddings take that fun to the next level and make it seem like a grand festival. With families as big as a small town, a wide variety of yummy food, colorful decorations, dancy tunes, and a lot of happiness, Indian weddings never fail to awe us. Even if these weddings might be taxing of the bride, the groom, and their close ones, it’s all worth it because well, we get married only once (in the ideal scenario). It’s one of the most memorable events in the life of a person and all their loved ones try to make it as special as possible. Indian weddings aren’t just ceremonies or occasions; they’re an emotion. During the wedding season, if you’re totally in the mood to attend some dance your troubles away with a baraat. And if you or your close relative/ friend is getting married, we thought you might want to watch the following movies; you know, just to set the mood right.

The two meet coincidentally at a wedding and end up business partners in Shruti’s wedding planning company. After planning the weddings of many others, the duo finally falls in love with each other and that messes up their business. Watch the movie to know what happens next!

It would be a crime to give away the valuable plot of these movies. Kangana Ranaut and R. Madhavan display brilliant acting and the storylines of both the movies are exceptionally entertaining.

3. 2 States

Falling in love is one thing, but getting married to the person you love is a totally different thing. Because it doesn’t come that easy to you and the work is multiplied by 100 if the two are from different states and cultural backgrounds. When Chetan Bhagat’s best-selling novel 2 States was made into a movie, we think the filmmakers did quite a good job. Besides, Arjun Kapoor and Alia Bhatt’s amazing chemistry is worth watching.

4. Hum Aapke Hai Koun…!

How often does a pair of siblings get married to another? Well, not very often but when that happens it’s amazing for the families since bonds are tied together pretty close. The sister of the bride and the brother of the groom fall in love with each other during their siblings’ wedding. How romantic is that? Didi tera dewar deewana is a song that none of us can forget and if you haven’t watched this movie, please do.

5. Hasee Toh Phasee

Often when people focus too much on just getting married they forget about their responsibility of loving and nurturing each other. This is what happens in Hasee Toh Phasee. Pariniti Chopra gives an exceptional performance in this heart-warming movie and it’s a must-watch.

6. Vivah

Those who going for arranged marriages and those who have an aversion towards it must watch the Shahid Kapoor- Amrita Rao starrer Vivah. The movie is about how two people from completely different backgrounds like each other and fall in love before venturing on to their arranged marriages.

7. Hum Saath Saath Hain

Well, this movie is all about celebrating families and love. You’ll be able to enjoy a lot of celebrations and weddings throughout this film and they’re all super cheesy like most of the 90s films are.

8. Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge

This list would be totally incomplete without DDLJ and we’re sure most of you would have already watched it. Even if you have, give it another go and enjoy Raj and Simran’s journey from strangers to one of the most iconic lovers in Bollywood’s history.

9. Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhaniya

Ambala girl Kavya tells her father she will not get married unless she got the “Kareena wala lehenga” and goes to Delhi in search of the ensemble. While her marriage is already fixed with an NRI Kavya meets Humpty in Delhi and falls for him. The rest of the movie is about how Humpty tries to persuade Kavya’s father and the challenges that the couple face. Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan are known to be one of the best onscreen couples of Bollywood today and after watching this movie, we’re sure you’ll agree.

10. Veere Di Wedding

The recently released movie stars Swara Bhaskar, Sonam Kapoor, Shikha Talsania and Kareena Kapoor, in lead roles. It is about a closed knot of four friends rediscovering themselves when they meet up after a long time for one of their weddings. This movie is not only about weddings but it’s also about breaking the stereotypes about how a modern woman is and what she wants in life.
