Caviar is one of the most expensive foods in the world. It is very nutritious and does our body a world of good – but did you know that it works wonders when applied to the skin as well? Now, you might be wondering, how can a delicacy that is made after processing and salting tiny fish eggs be used on skin? Sounds strange, right? But yes, caviar can be applied to your face, and once you see the results, it will soon become a part of your skin pampering routine.

Before talking about the caviar face masks, let’s see how caviar works for the skin.

  • Caviar is rich in omega3, and thus, these sturgeon eggs are very beneficial for the skin. It is an expensive, yet amazing ingredient for brightening the face. It also helps in combating aging.
  • The application of caviar on the skin activates the cells to produce collagen that is responsible for the vividness and youthfulness of the skin. The antioxidants present in the caviar eliminates the fine lines present on the skin. These properties make caviar a great moisturizer and anti-aging product.
  • Caviar has all the goodness of sea minerals. These, as we all know, are extremely beneficial for the skin.
  • Our skin is basically made of proteins (amino acid), and caviar is a rich source of these acids. So, when you apply it to your skin, the amino acids get absorbed directly into the skin. This rejuvenates the skin and makes it look fresh.
  • Since caviar is the egg of a living creature, i.e., fish (mostly salmon), the cell structure of this organism is very similar to that of human beings. When applied to the skin, caviar helps in producing collagen of a better quality and also increases the speed of its production. With the increased production of collagen, the aging process slows down.
  • Other than the skin benefits, there are other benefits of caviar too. The consumption of caviar helps in boosting energy. It also increases sexual stamina in men.

The caviar treatment done at the parlors may take up to two hours as it is done in stages.

The first step is prepping the skin. Before applying the caviar face mask, the skin is cleansed properly and a bit of honey and essential oils (you can also use caviar oil) is spread over it. This helps in opening up the pores of the skin.

Then, the special caviar mask is applied on your face. It is left on the face for half an hour, and then removed. After its removal, the caviar oil is applied to the skin. Thereafter, your face is steamed for about 5 to 10 minutes. This makes your skin brighter and smoother.

Caviar facial is one of the most expensive skin treatments, and thus, getting it done in a parlor can be a costly deal. Now that you know the benefits of applying a caviar mask, why not do it at home by yourself? Here are a few simple recipes for making caviar face packs that you can easily prepare at home.

Because of the extensive benefits it offers, caviar is now used in many beauty products. However, it is always recommended to use it in the raw form.
