As little girls, we’ve all dreamed of the perfect wedding in exotic locations with fancy décor. Right from the perfect wedding dress to the best location for a destination wedding, we’ve all had fantasies of how special we want our wedding to be. Celebrities are no less. The only difference being, most of them have the luxury to make that fantasy come true. They perfectly plan out weddings with their soulmates in exotic locations to celebrate that special day amidst their close friends and family.
Getting married in an exotic setting with the person of your dreams while all your near and dear ones are standing beside you is a dream come true for many but not everyone makes full use of the opportunity to make it a fairytale wedding. However, some of our favorite Bollywood celebs have made the best use of their resources and have had a wedding that truly makes it the best days of their lives. 1. Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh
The stunningly beautiful Deepika Padukone married the very talented Ranveer Singh in 2018 and shattered a million hearts. The gorgeous couple chose Lake Como, Italy to conduct their nuptial ceremony. Even though it would have not been easy, they managed to keep it a private affair. Fans all over the world eagerly waited for the photos because the wedding had a no-phone policy. After the ceremony, the couple released pictures and they were breathtakingly beautiful. Deepika looked regal in her traditional red attire and the two of them looked happy as ever. DeepVeer won all our hearts with their wedding photos and we can all agree, it was worth the wait.
2. Kunal Kapoor and Naina Bachchan
Considering this was the union between a Kapoor and a Bachchan, it was hobnobbing with Delhi’s most elite. Actor Kunal Kapoor and investment banker, Naina Bachchan got married in 2015 uniting two renowned names in the industry. They had a private wedding on a reclusive beach on Seychelles islands with close friends and family. The wedding ceremony happened right on the beach and looked like every girl’s fantasy come true. The happy couple returned home and had a grand two-day wedding reception at Amaanta Farms in Kapashera in Delhi.
3. Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas
Nickyanka, as fans call them, tied the knot in 2018. They were publicly dating for a while before they announced their marriage. They had a beautiful wedding at the Umaid Bhawan Palace in Jodhpur, India. Priyanka and Nick had two wedding ceremonies for which she wore a traditional red lehenga designed by Sabyasachi and a mind-blowing white dress designed by Ralph Lauren. Both the outfits were customized to hand-stitch her hubby’s full name and her parents’ names on to them. Priyanka’s gown had a 75 feet long trail and she looked like a fairy in a dramatic movie. Nick, on the other hand, looked dapper in his black tux and adorable in his desi sherwani attire.
4. Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma
One of the most sorted couples in the industry, Anushka Sharma married Virat Kohli, the captain of the Indian cricket team in 2017. The rustic décor and soothing colors at the wedding venue made it one of the most beautiful and heartwarming sights for fans everywhere. They tied the knot in Borgo Finocchieto, an 800-year-old village-turned-villa in Tuscany and it was truly magical to see how happy the couple was. Virushka, as they are called by fans, performed their nuptial rights under a canopy of exquisite flowers flown in from Holland. Above the canopy was a romantic backdrop of white candles placed in glass lanterns that hung from the ceiling. Anushka walked down a path laced with pastel flowers before reaching the mantap. Dreamy, isn’t it? All in all, it was too glorious a sight.
5. Samantha Prabhu and Naga Chaitanya
In 2017, these love birds got hitched after seven years of courtship. They tied the knot in Goa and before most of you say it’s a place that is clichéd for weddings, take a look at the photos. Samantha and Naga had two wedding ceremonies, one traditional Hindu ceremony and a Christian one too. The cutesy couple looked happy and glamorous on their big day and showed us that a clichéd location does not stop you from having an exotic wedding.
6. Lisa Haydon and Dino Lalvani
A beach wedding is for fun and partying too. The sultry model and actress Lisa Haydon and her boyfriend Dino Lalvani proved to us that it’s possible to have a beautiful wedding while also keeping it cool. They took everyone by surprise when they tied the knot in 2016 in Phuket, Thailand. They had a beach wedding in the presence of their closest friends and family at sunset and it was the perfect romantic setting.
