7-Day Cucumber Diet That Drops Pounds Very Fast

Cucumbers, belonging to the gourd family of plants, are refreshing fruits found almost everywhere on planet earth. They’re consumed in a variety of ways; some prefer to include them in with salads, while others make cucumber juice. Cucumbers are also sometimes cooked.

When it comes to dropping weight – diet and exercise are both essential parts of the process. A good diet can help with weight loss like none other and it is, thus, extremely important to get that part right. What you include in your weight loss diet also greatly influences the quality of results and the time required to get them.

Low in calories, high in water content, and having essential nutrients, cucumbers aren’t exactly a superfood, but they’re still a great component to have in your weight loss diet! They’re very filling and yet don’t fill up your caloric quotient by much. The refreshingly hydrating aspect of having cucumbers in your diet and all their other health benefits cannot be denied either (1).

So, today, we’re going to talk about the 7-day cucumber diet. This easy-to-follow diet is great for weight loss and is also incredibly nutritious! It will help you drop weight really quickly and will do so in a way that your body will love.

Without further ado, let’s begin with the diet plan!

Breakfast

Chop/grate around 200 grams of cucumber and mix it in a cup of yoghurt. Try to make sure that the yoghurt you get is of the low-fat variety.

This is all you’ll be having for your breakfast. If there’s still some hunger at the end of this meal, you can have a small quantity of apple or peach slices, but don’t go overboard!

Lunch

For lunch, it’s best to have a slice of toast for the carb quotient first. After that, make a bowl of cucumber salad and have that as well. Small quantities of boiled potatoes, another slice of toast, etc. can also be added to this meal.

Additionally, 300 grams worth of fruit salad comprising of different fruits such as apples, bananas, oranges, papayas, etc. can be consumed for lunch.

Dinner

A similar serving of fruit at lunch (300 grams) can be had for dinner in either a raw form or in the form of a salad. Adding cucumbers to this meal is not important.

Since this is a weight loss diet, it can’t be complete without taking care of all the cravings and small meals in between the big ones. You can treat yourself to small helpings of fruits during this time.

There’s also a really nice recipe for a cucumber shake that can be made to see you through the in-between meals! The specifics of the cucumber shake recipe are as follows:

Ingredients:

  • Cucumber x1
  • Apple x1
  • Ginger x 1 tsp.
  • Spinach leaves x a handful
  • Walnuts x 10g.
  • Almonds x 10g.

Recipe:

Cut the cucumber and apple into small, blendable pieces. Then, mix the cucumber and apple pieces along with the spinach using a blender or a mixer. Add a small quantity of the ginger to this mix and make sure that all the ingredients have sufficiently blended.

Once this is done, add diced walnuts and almonds to the shake, mix gently and proceed to drink the shake as it is. There is no need for any additional refrigeration or processing. The shake tastes great, is nutritionally incredible, and also provides the energy that you need to get through your day!

The diet mentioned above is great and will certainly see you drop those pesky pounds that you’ve meant to get rid of very quickly! However, it’s equally important to exercise enough as well.

Make sure that you get some form of aerobic exercise or weight training for a minimum of 30-40 minutes at least five days a week, in addition to following this diet.

The dieting and the exercising should be consistent and in conjunction with each other, for amazing results. Follow this diet for seven days, and you’ll see a marked difference in the way things have shaped up! If you’re happy with the results, you can continue with the diet for as long as you’d like.
