After six years of dating, they tied the knot in Lake Como, Italy in a reclusive ceremony with close friends and family. The wedding took place in a picturesque location and no cameras or phones were allowed. However, they had three reception parties after the wedding. One in Bengaluru and two in Mumbai.
In an interview with a popular news agency, Ranveer said that in just six months of dating Deepika, he knew that he wanted to marry her. He revealed that even though it was just a short time, he knew she was the one for him and whom she wanted to build a life with. He said that marriage was on his mind for almost three years before they actually tied the knot. He added, “I was just waiting, I told her the minute you say so, we’ll do it.”
The couple has been married for more than a year now and for their first anniversary, they visited Lord Venkateswara temple with the family to seek blessings. Deepika took to Instagram to share a heartwarming picture of them and got her fans’ hearts melting.
The couple wore Sabyasachi outfits for the occasion and looked like royalty. Deepika rocked the traditional look in her red and golden silk saree with heavy gold jewelry while Ranveer looked dapper in his cream and golden Nehru jacket.
